    Hi friends!
I've missed you all so dearly, but you'll quickly realize why i've been absent and to be honest, I am the most drained I've ever been.
I want to get back into vlogging, I just thought I should explain myself first before I started uploading vlogs again.
I want to hear from you. Tell me how you're doing and what you're up to and if you watch the whole video I'd love to hear any advice you have.
Thank you so much for being here, your time means so much to me because I know how busy you are. I truly missed you and I'm excited to get back onto a routine because honestly, vlogging helps me SO MUCH!
    Love ya and God bless!

Unfortunately Nursing school is definitely a teach yourself kind of thing. :(You have to read/learn the lecture material BEFORE class and use lecture class time/office hours only to get clarification on topics you don’t understand:/
To be successful you must stay ahead of the class schedule..always! You got this! I promise the 2-3 years of stress will be worth it! The financial freedom and the job stability is worth it. Imo..good luck!

This is such good advice, it's just sad that a lot of nursing schools are like this. I mean, no wonder so many new nurses are scared.

Yes my friend. Don't quit again. The only way out is through! The unfortunate truth is...this is nursing school in a nutshell. We don't know how to be a nurse until we ARE nurses. This from a nurse of 29 years! You got this💪🏾

Yes, the struggle is real and ridiculously frustrating!

I think this is common in all nursing schools. I am a year into my program and it has been very disorganized since I started. However, I am truly grateful I am in the program. Here, in California, it is a struggle to get into nursing schools. Don't quit. It will be worth it in the end. As long as you are reading and trying to learn as much as you can, you will be fine.

You’re not alone. I’m in a RN program that is not very organized and you have to do a lot of self teach but it’s accredited and it’s cheaper than others. They also work with students to make sure they pass. To me that’s what matters. I’m a LPN already and you’ll definitely learn on the floor. That plateau you hit is normal. At some point we all feel like quitting. Don’t quit!
As for ATI, I study at home. Level up RN is very similar to ATI. That’s what has helped me.

It makes me so sad to hear that it's so common for nursing instructors to be so disorganized. This should not be the norm :'( Thanks for the tips and we will push forward.

Honestly, I felt exactly like this with my first program and as much as I was given the same advice, I ended up leaving that program for a better one. Is my second program just as hard, yes and no. The work load is just as difficult but it is not harder to ask questions, and not as difficult to get support. But I did what I thought was best for me. I did have to completely restart the nursing program after a year of being in one program. But I think people should know their options that if u want these schools to listen, don’t give them ur money. Oh and this program is 4Xs cheaper and I have more scholarships available to me that I have my tuition covered. Do what’s best for u reader. 😊

Nursing school is hard. It is even harder when it is unorganized but push through and do read and learn and most importantly, watch youtube videos(Registered Nurse RN, Simple nursing, Beautiful nursing) it does help a lot. Quizlet is very good, there are a lot of flashcards that other students create for each system and they are awesome to study with. Also lots of practice questions using your school resources or Yourbestgrade for the Hesi. Be strong, don't get discouraged and always remember why you chose nursing and why you want to be a nurse.

I get it i feel the same way with certain instructors. I'm sure it is a trigger more for you because you were a teacher and know what it takes to put in and expect that from others. Maybe one once you graduate you can go into teaching the nursing program you would be so good at it.

The health care field is a mess so many new nurses are quitting bedside nursing as a patient with vast medical knowledge not everyone can handle the toxic environment not everyone can be the kind of nurses we need don't let a professor be a road block if your in it for the right reasons!

As a rn , I had to teach myself in most of my class.
Students need to know teachers stop teaching you past high school

It’s not up to teachers to teach you in college. Yes, going to certain places does make it easier with better teachers. The trick is to learn it yourself by reading the textbook. I believe 50% of college kids don’t even open it and just go off lecture notes. You can literally master classes and programs by making active recall questions with AI off the textbook on the chapters. I wish medical school had a 8 year and 4 year option as time seems to be the only issue with people. The acceleration of the material seems to hurt people a ton. Imagine you got to see the material years in advance and got to study it in HS or during pre-reqs. I wish the best of luck to you just push through 🙂

I’m sorry. And I hate to say it, but this is how nursing school usually is. The teachers are a mess and you end up teaching yourself. I ended up picking a hybrid-online program for this reason. I don’t want to waste time in class (not to mention commute, etc) when I can do all the didactic online on my own time.
I don’t have any advice but just keep going. Basically every nurse you’ve ever seen got through it, and you will too.

I appreciate this because I had no idea this was so common. When I started LVN school it was nothing like this. They were so strict and so structured that I assumed all nursing schools was like that. But thank you for the input and yes, I will continue ❤

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I can relate because just last night I had a breakdown because of my nursing program's faulty learning platform. Hang in there because the more I talk to people, the more I hear how most nursing programs are disorganized. -Prayers going your way. 🙏💕

I was just speaking with my classmates and so many of us have had breakdowns because it's just so confusing and disorganized. You can't imagine how many nursing students are Type A personalities and for them to go through a program like this is unbearable sometimes. I've had my fair share of frustration breakdowns but my husband reminds me to pray and take it assignment by assignment. I'll be honest though, we are on week 4 and I feel like we are on month 4. It feels like it's moving so slow.

Talk to your professor? Maybe if you just mention something to her but you know privately.

  • @jomo3735

Your best grade is a good question bank. It’s $200 but you can use it throughout the school. I’m in hybrid program and happy because the time I have I spent on actual studying because otherwise I don’t know how I would find time for the program. It sucks when you feel you waste that time in lecture

Good morning, the dean needs to talk with this professor. The has to have a plan of study for this course to make sure all topics is being covered to match up with curriculum. I hope it gets better for you I see the frustration in your eyes.❤

I watch a lot of nursing student videos (im a nursing student myself, doing prerequisites right now) and a lot of them recommend listening to the Mark K lectures
that especially helped them with nclex prep
I could email them to you

I live in Connecticut sometimes it is what it is if you have ATI I would rely on that. Nursing school can feel like your alone sometimes just stick with your group and get together and study.

This is exactly what we are doing, leaning on each other and using ATI to teach ourselves. It just makes me sad that so many of ya'll are experiencing the same thing.

Don't quit go to the dean. Teaching yourself happens a lot in nursing school. Just get through the class so you can move on. You just started you still have a ways to go. Hopefully you will have a different instructor next semester. Your husband's hard work will be a waste of you do. That's not fair to him either.
