Im a guys guy and at age 62 I STILL cant watch this performance without tearing up. One of the best performances and one of the best live shows ever recorded. RIP ELVIS
He sang the words. “All my trials Lord, soon will be over”…and in August,1977 his trials were over and I Believe the whole world mourned. I really mourned for 9 yr old Lisa Marie, who lost her beloved daddy at such a young age. There’s a video somewhere here on UA-cam of Lisa Marie singing along with a recording of Elvis singing “In the Getto”. I think you would like it, and I know that Elvis was smiling down at his precious daughter. (She looks so much like Elvis, and reportedly, her son Ben was reported to really look like Elvis in his younger years. Unfortunately, her young man died a few years ago). Loved your reaction to the song, it really is beautiful.
I remember the day that he passed as well. The world just stopped. You are right..this song or any of his songs will give you goosebumps and make you feel everything.
Elvis could make you laugh make you cry so unique natural talent his music will never die in a hundred years from now people will still listen to his music
Elvis is the only singer who can pull this song off because he was from the south gospel in his soul and love of his country he puts so much passion and emotion and that power in his voice just gives me thrills thru my body and my heart ❤️ and I have heard a lot a people try to sing this song but if you don't feel you can't sing it and Elvis is the greatest singer of all time
I heard stories of people that actually went to his concert in person women actually fainted when hearing him sing. You're right it's very mind-blowing , emotional and moving. Can you imagine hearing. Elvis singing That particular song in person? Hearing the song in video has a lot of emotional effect on everyone..
We ALL need to get all the people know to listen to elvis, We need to let people hear what music is all about. We need to make elvis bigger and maybe america can once again believe in something good
This is why he's called The King ! Elvis is the greatest male singer of all time. I wanted to recommend the song You Gave Me a Mountain from the Aloha from Hawaii concert...
I remember the day he died. I was hauling a tanker truck of gas to a 76 Station, listening to the AM Radio when the DJ came on and said, Elvis is dead. Couldn't believe it.
It's obvious you were very taken w-Elvis' performance & it's nice to see all the young people discovering him, but i suggest that you keep your eyes open all the time -- you are missing some of his emotional body moves when you close your eyes - you should see all that he does -- it's part of what made Elvis, Elvis. Thx for your nice reaction.
His voice his natural talent no other singer could produce a performance song after the song his unique style moves people today so happy the younger generation understand after seeing him live what Elvis was and his music lives on forever absolutely timeless
Truly astounding performance. And I was right along with you getting Goosebumps and my allergies were acting up. That ending is so operatic it's unbelievable. The famous opera singer Luciano Pavarotti once said that if Elvis had had any formal vocal training, he might well have been the greatest opera singer of the century.
A song of Americas civil war to secure these words " we believe these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal by their creator " Dixie combined with battle Hym of the Republic Abraham Lincoln favorite song !🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸
Beautiful reaction, but you missed a couple key moments of showmanship because your eyes were closed. I think you'll enjoy it even more, the second time you watch it. ;)
Beautiful reaction! Elvis had a special way of feeling the song and he could transfer those feelings to his audience. Could you react to: Elvis Presley - The Climb / What'd I Say (4:25). And an artist you may not have heard of: John Denver - Annie's Song (from The Wildlife Concert) (3:02).
Have any of you seen the new Elvis movie with Austin Butler and Tom Hanks? If any of you have not seen it, the movie is incredible and a must watch movie!
Here are some of his spirutual songs: Amazing Graze, How great though art, I found this version of this great song: How great thou art acapella: ua-cam.com/video/Be5y0rMBIFI/v-deo.html You'll never walk alone, Crying in the chapel, Take me home precious lord, Why me Lord (written by Kris Kristofferson), I'm not sure if it's a gospel song Help me and many more, he also made several Christmas songs, also some type of Blues songs. . Here are some ballads and other songs: Turn around Look at me, Yellow rose of Texas (in a movie), Please don't stop loving me, Music is the food of your soul, Don't, You gave me a mountin, Unchained melody, My Way, Suspicius minds, In the Ghetto (written by Mac Davies), Memories (written by Mac Davies), If I can dream that is a tribute (parts of it is taken directly from the I can dream speach by MLK) to Martin Luther King JR and senator Robert Kennedy, What now my love, Walk a mile in my shoes (listen to the words in the beginning), Welcome to my world, Make The World Go Away, Let it be me, I'll Remember You, Bridge Over Troubled Water, An American Thrillergy, Hurt, Sweet Caroline, Just Pretend, What now my love, Are you lonesome tonight (laughing version, or not), Oh Danny Boy (for you Irish people), a song that many might not know that he sung it is this one Green Green grass of home, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, Walk a mile in my shoes, Blue suede shoes, Hound dog, I Washed My Hands In Muddy Water, My Boy, Solitaire, well remember that he sang over 800 songs, yes most of them Covers, but that made the artists that he coverd more popular and they also got some money from it... There are some videos of when Elvis joking and messing up, he loved to joke around and pretend that he did not have control, but he had total control, he acctually conducted his musicans and back up choirs all the time! If you like to listen to tributes, then these might be good: Memphis Lallaby, Love Me Tender (James Brown), The Letter (Wayne Newton) this might even contain Elvis written chorus, don't know if it was his words or not?
ELVIS ALWAYS TOUCHES MY SOUL 🥰
That's the perfect reaction to Elvis. There are no words. There will only be one of him, then there is everyone else. The King
For those who say God can't work through man, this is the perfect example!!!!!!
