- Timelapse oil painting, wipe-out technique. Using only burnt umber oil paint onto a primed canvas, lifting the highlights with white spirit and painting back in.
This heart has a ruptured septum - the wall dividing the left and right side of the heart - due to weakened tissue after damage from a massive myocardial infarction (heart attack).
The specimen I'm working from is from the pathological museum of St George's University Hospital, London.
Excellent. Beautiful art work. :) :) Salutations from New York!!
Extraordinary talent
thank you very much 🙂
Really cool techniques, I've seen the wipe out technique before, used it myself but never to this degree
Thank you!. This is the most complex subject matter I've done - it took three days, and by the end was drying too fast - should have introduced a bit more linseed oil. In the end I scratched back the final highlights with a scalpel.
@@deepgreenart it looks great! I've heard a thin coat of oil evenly distributed is extremely helpful before returning to a painting on subsequent days!
