Probably your best video. Clear timeline of events, interesting story, audio of the players themselves, 0 random bs that have no point to the overall video. Excellent work!!
Still think that Slap should’ve been given his belt for Vow. I get Bungo wanted to send people a message, although I still think Slap deserved that belt and should’ve been able to have it.
Elysium made history for the clan to go back to back to back honestly it shows how they came from a long way and its what shows what is a clan and how a clan is to work together
The Mountain analogy is tear bringing. And applies to life as a whole. This is the most awe inspiring documentary I have seen in a long time. And it's inspired me to start my own journey toward raiding. Let's f gooooo!!!
The way Elysium formed and how they found themselves on being not just good players but also good people is legit really awesome. I'd try out if I was anywhere near good enough, but alas going into my adult life as a game dev I'm not gonna have enough time. The Town Hall stuff is things that one or two of my IRL friend groups do every once in a while, and while it stings in the moment, it brings about a lot of good long-term change.
It's people my Elysium that make me want to improve at the game. Despite only getting into the franchise 2 years ago, I've fallen in love with raiding to the point it takes up 40% of my playtime. I started with solo flawless dungeons, then master raid challenges, and recently I started doing flawless raids. I'd say once I get all the flawless raids done, my next goal will be low man clears. I want to be the best individual player I can possibly be, and Elysium gives me a reference point of how far you really can go.
I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while now and I believe I first heard about Elysium from you at some point in time haha. Ever since then when the raids came out I’ve been routing for them and super pumped each time they’ve won. I watch other groups on raid days also, but always routing for them. And that was before I knew any of this lol. I especially am going to be watching and routing for them now. Thanks for such an awesome video.
imma be honest, I think with or without his world first belt, he would be fine because I’m so happy for him being happily married and living his best life rn. It’s just fun to see these raid teams compete
Really bungie should work a full team on Saturday for a raid release, I understand everyone loves their weekends but 1-2 times a year isn't bad at all. Especially if it means making the community happy.
Evan, you're the most important and influential Destiny content creator besides the King Of Destiny (Datto). The contributions you've made to this community are insane, and I always recommend your videos to anyone who doesn't know about the older raids. Keep it up man. You've become legend.
Evan I’ve always known about you but admittedly have never subbed for whatever reason, I will whole heartedly say this is the best destiny video I have ever watched on this platform. I know my one like, view, sub, or comment may not matter much, but it goes without saying that this level of effort is amazing, and you deserve the fruits of your labor
Thanks for giving me a new perspective on Elysium. I LFG’d with an Elysium member in a raid one time and they were one of the worst people I’d ever played the game with and almost ruined the LFG experience for me. I’d unfairly attributed that to the entire clan, thinking they were just all like that but now I see them differently!
@@shybinx_ I’m not sure if wanna name drop him honestly. Especially seeing how the clan was formed and hearing from the rest of the members, one bad experience might just be a clan outlier
@@shybinx_ I will say that the player lorded his clan status over the whole group and called it “sherpa’ing” when we weren’t a Sherpa LFG and all had all done the raid multiple times. His exact words were “I was part of the world’s first for this raid, don’t disrespect me by laughing about it” after we were pretty fed up with how he was treating us. Needless to say we stopped at the boss checkpoint and opted not to finish because we weren’t willing to LFG anymore after that.
Tbh this kinda makes me want to build my own clan and try to do a similar thing to them, but now's not the right time. I'm taking a break from d2 rn, so maybe when I get fully fired up by the game again I'll try something. Anyways I love my current clan, just a bunch of friends.
I just want to make a comment on the send raid. They talk about having all these issues, and being surprised they got first, and shouldn’t be there; but wasn’t everyone else having those same issues? So I doubt they were at any sort of disadvantage. Maybe I’m wrong I dunno. Either way, good for them and excellent video as always.
In terms of disconnects and error codes, our team had 19. 2nd had 4, 3rd had 5, 4th had 1, and 5th had 1. (you can check on raid report of you don't believe me)
I like this style of video, but would like to see it just on other content creators in the Destiny community maybe. Like doing this for Datto or Byf would be a lot of fun I think
one thing I loved about the Elysium is the vibe, even tho they're really competitive, in the end, they are just group of friends playing. they don't blame each other for their own fault. Its really amazing how when group of people with the same mindset can accomplished.
I dislike the fact that the team that finishes first has to rush out of there to orbit. And not even take a minute or two to get a group picture to immortalize the moment of a world-first clear. Like you are first to clear, and its probably streamed from multiple persons plus bungie probably has the data on their end. Kinda sucks imo.
love it, only thing i would change is adding a profile picture or the like when someone is talking, i associate voices a lot easier with visuals and would help me keep track of who is who
I understand their struggles and I wish I could join an actual clan like this. I've flawlessed all the current raids and I've solo flawlessed all dungeon except Duality (which is currently bugged). I only ever attempted D1 KF because I hate doing lfg. Didn't end up completing it because I was using lfg.
@@thetvCruz I hope so, that would be insane lmao. But what i meant was that the Spanish won 2 European Championships and a World Cup Back-to-back-to-back. In your case, its 2 World First Reprised Raids and a World First New Raid Back-to-back-to-back.
@@thetvCruz Those were some good times. Cant wait for the World Cup next month. Oh and cant wait to see you guys in the Lightfall raid possibly for that 4th title :D
I'm pretty sure most of the top-tier clans skipped Ships in KF Remaster. Bungie knows there are things in their game that allows people to cover massive distances quickly, they were plenty capable to put a turnback zone above a certain height, or added some kind of debuff, or a damage zone above a certain level. They didn't, which means they did not care. Their priority was the 5 encounters + challenges.
This is the video I was always hoping someone would make. The story of Elysium. Thank you sir. . . . . If possible if I could be just a bit greedy the story of Mr Destiny himself aka Datto would be so dope with your craftsmanship
Bungie should assemble a skeleton crew to support Saturday raids. It’s not asking too much for some people to work two weekends per year (then don’t come in on Monday or something to offset), even if they’re a white-collar desk jockey. This is very normal for corporate workers, yes even salaried employees, to do what it takes to accomplish the mission. If Bungie employees care about this game/community half as much as the players, they would jump at the chance to make raid races more inclusive.
Let me know if you like this type of style, sports documentary type and keep rocking on everyone
