The Jabalpur - Nainpur- Seoni- Chhindwara - Sausar- Nagpur , Nainpur-Balaghat- Gondia are the largest Narrow Gauga system in Asia, which is also known as Satpura Railways

This is a magnificent video, you have preserved this railroad in history. Thank you so much for doing this for the people. The sights and sounds of the narrow gauge is fantastic and full of character.
My memories refreshed thankyou soo much watching in 07-07-2020.... Every summer holiday I go nagpur to nagbhir in this train..... Thank you so much for this video
Me and my cousin undertook this very nagpur jabalpur narrow gauge overnight train journey in 2015 I guess. We travelled in the sleeper coach. It was our first ever and the last ever NG journey experience. .I mean overnight sleeper ride. What a thrill to ride by a small dimension rail transport and the slow ride with the gentle rocking and swaying of the coaches during the run. The rustic countryside and the simple village folks added charm into the journey. Like depicted in this video, by eveing myself too left our reserved coach which was in the middle to take a ride in the first coach behind the loco, so as to have a straight view of the track ahead. The loco reversal and crew change at chindwara junction. The train has an hour's halt there which enabled us to venture out of the station to buy us dinner. We took dosa parcels which we consumed inside the train after its departure. I still relish that moments. The entire afternoon ride out of nagpur in that sweltering heat had forced me to have a crow's bath inside the tiny bathroom just after the train pulled out of chindwara. So refreshing it was physically as well as mentally and sitting on top of our respective sleeping berths we enjoyed our dinner. The night ride was uneventful except that there weren't much halts I guess so. Woke up very early to find the landscape still more or less as it was yesterday. The morning was cold and foggy too for much of the journey. We reach bang on time at around 08.15 at the final destination jabalpur. Thanks Jay for this video which took me to those memories of our journey.

I'm very excited bcs I was travel by this train when I was studying in Takli bhansali in1975-78 i always go by this train to nagpur now I remembering this
Narrow gauge across India is fading into history due to gauge conversion. The only place where we can probably see narrow gauge in the future is in the Hill stations. Somehow I have been a lover of narrow gauge. Always dreamt of an upgrade in technology so that these narrow gauge trains can be speeded up and made more comfortable. Yet another dream that will remain a dream
Way way back I have traveled on this route in my childhood.😆 From Motibagh to Pipla, then they had steam engine. Get down at Pipla and walk miles on foot crossing Kanan river to reach village, Dahegon Joshi. What a beautiful journey walking through forest and river it was, the river water was crystal clear you could see your feet through it and drink it. I don't think it's same anymore.
Wonderful film with lovely greenery and colourful sunset. Do you have steam engine train film on this route? You have to show interior of this narrow gauge bogies. Thanks anyhow for this video.
Lovly video I like it very much I have seen after almost 4 years but very beautiful. Please give the information about the camera, the camera quality is very good.
The NG locomotives were maintained in Motibagh diesel shed of Nagpur (SECR). I headed this Diesel Shed for two years between 2009 and 2011. I took pride in the fact that it was the largest NG diesel shed in the world.
This section was indeed narrow gauge. The gauge in this section is 2ft 6in which is considered narrow gauge. Meter gauge is 1 meter wide, which come to about 3.2ft. Darjeeling and Matheran section has a narrower gauge of just 2ft. So there are two types of narrow gauge, 2ft 6in and 2 ft. Hope that helps.
Ok. this train has double engine. Confirmed at 18:07. Extremely pretty route. Just love the video further after 18:07. Sad that this narrow gauge has been closed. The government could made this a heritage line too..
I don't know, that it is converted to broad gauge now. But, old NG routes should be preserved, can be made PPP or full private & operated professionally viable. Like various NG routes in Swiss

This line should had converted ,at least 50 yrs before . But negligence of our govt and S E.Railway ,the work is going now . Anyway ,I hope ,the gauge conversion should complete soon and a fair nos of train will pass via Jabalpur - Balaghat and Jabalpur -Chhindwara - Nagpur route . Also , I suggest , these narrow gauge engines ,lines should be used for communicate to hill stations like Panchmarhi and so on .
My father was Station Master at KPKD during 1957-60 . Iam very happy to see the old places of my child hood
Thanks to up load this vedio.
Glad to hear that it rekindled your childhood memories!
What type of locomotive was used at that time? Steam or Diesel...
Steam engine

can't believe this is Narrow gauge. Train moving at a good speed
The engine is wdg3....
Nice aise hi videos banate raho
Not far away! It would have been better if more. It would have been nice to reach Chhindwara.
21:25 diesel smoke chugging mixed with beautiful sun view 💥
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
If a rough map was also shown to get a sense of direction would be very helpful and interesting as this does not seem to be the major route.
I don't get chance to travel this narrow gauge route 😭😭
Is this train still running?
incredible video.

A very nice sound of engine.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think it's metergauge line,not narrow gauge
As far as i know its METRE GAUGE not NARROW GAUGE.
Narrow is used in Darjling and shimla(mountains only).
Pls correct me if i am wrong.
