I am running 74, even now I don't part with my window seat when I travel and I enjoy looking at the landscape like a child. I do not like to travel by AC since windows are sealed. There is something wonderful to travel by train and meet new friendly people and experience food at railway platforms (when young ). Thanks from karnataka

There are surveys being done to extend the Ledo Railway line, bypassing the Tirap coal sidings and going on to come back to Lekhapani station, and then for the line to be further extended to Kharsang (Arunachal Pradesh), to extend connectivity into Arunachal Pradesh.
Lekhapani could be an ideal place for a regional railway museum since it has a rich history. the yellow and black board of Guwahati railway station led to tears in my eyes.. I was reminded of the sudden and tragic demise of my brother Major Ashok at Guwahati while on duty. I have never visited the region.😔
Wow loved the video and your enthusiasm to cover the last railway station in the Eastern Railway route. Also, I am from Tinsukia, and I have used extensively the old Tinsukia Jn meter gauge trains when I was a kid. And now I feel proud of the new Tinsukia Jn. Waiting eagerly for the electrification work to be completed so that, we can also get access to long distance class 1 trains like Vande Bharat. 🙏

Well, the New Tsk junction station used to be a halt station called Hizuguri on the way to Dibrugarh. The surrounding area is still called Hizuguri. All trains from old Tsk would go towards Guwahati via Sim-alu-guri station.
Sweet memories of my trips to these places in the late 70s. No broad gauge line, only meter gauge. Same sleepy little places. The names remain the same. Lido, Digboi, Margarita .
भारत कितना बड़ा देश है .... एक तरफ लीडो स्टेशन है जहां 4 बजे सूर्यास्त हो जाता है, तो दूसरी तरफ लद्दाख का लेह शहर है जहां रात के 7.30 पर सूर्यास्त होता है |.... उत्तर पूर्व के रेलवे की जमीनों पर जगह जगह रोहिंग्याओं की बस्तियां बन चुकी हैं | आप कृपया इन सबके जो भी वीडियोज आपके पास हो, उनको रेल मंत्री को जरूर भेजिए जिससे वो इन सबको हटवाने के सख्त आदेश करें | ये सारे अतिक्रमण हैं, जो बड़े ही खतरनाक हैं | रेलवे की जमीन तो घेरते ही हैं, रेल दुर्घटनाओं का भी ख़तरा बढ़ा देते हैं | हाल ही में हुए उडीसा के बालासोर रेल दुर्घटना में जिस तरह से सिग्नल के सिस्टम से छेड़छाड़ होने की बात सामने आई थी, उसके बाद तो यह बहुत ज्यादा जरूरी हो जाता है कि रेल लाईनों के पास से सभी अतिक्रमण हटाए जाएँ |.... जरूर भेजिएगा |

Also, I am from Tinsukia, and I have used extensively the old Tinsukia Jn meter gauge trains when I was a kid. And now I feel proud of the new Tinsukia Jn.
