That Les for the review. I will likely be getting one of these. I find Kizer S35 to be decent on retention, decent on stainless steel resistance, easy to sharpen and stops back very nicely. +1sub
Why cause he talks like a hipster and says things you want to hear. At the end of the day he crowd-funded having Kizer build a knife, that's neither revolutionary nor is the knife anything special and $129 for S35V in that size with plastic handle scales is a complete rip-off. I get it, he's gotten a ton of attention but he's a nothing burger "designer" who's made the same knife twice but has a strong social media game so "he's a treasure". Kids really do have such low standards and fall for anything these days.
But that's the only flaw for me. I love the clutch lock, the blade shape, action, and price. After sharpening the steel it also seems to be at the proper HRC. I carried it for two weeks without even touching it up and it was still almost razor sharp. I just sharpened it to see how it would do.@@KnivesFAST
Yeah I don't know that it's a big deal. It's just something to be aware of in case it were to pop open or anything like that, but I don't think it will. Thanks
Will Ben be releasing the Lander 2 with a Liner Lock? I really enjoy the original but would enjoy a Lander 2 in the same configuration. A clutch lock will serve, but the liner lock would be the cat’s meow.
I've not heard any plans for that, but I wouldn't leave it out of the realm of possibility. I get what you're saying for sure, but this is pretty good. Thanks!
Lander 2 is a great knife! I even figured out how I can use the extra jimping to front flip it (at the expense of a layer of thumb skin, so not really a regular opening method 😅)
Definitely looks like a better size than the original. And i would agree about the reg lander scales. I prefer more rounded scales since they feel better in hand.
The original Lander is a nice knife but a little small for me. Lander 2 is right sized. No spring lash on mine. Kizer does such a nice job on their blades.
I like the 2 for its larger size and better steel. My Benchmade Contego has some spring lash too, maybe it's one of those quirks you get with some/ most axis style locks.
Love the size, hate the price-hike and S35VN. It's NOT worth north of $100 (you can get a 20CV Escort made by the same company for less and it's a better knife design overall) and I'd have preferred 14C28N. Also not a fan of "Ben"... He's a prime example of how low the standards have gotten in the social-media age as long as you say the right things to "the community". These days kids are more worried about how the knife photographs and posting the blade-steel online then the actual quality of the tools or how they work and most won't ever get used for more then cutting cardboard or paper on a UA-cam video...
Well, thanks for sharing your thoughts and watching. I took the time to get to know Ben and he's a very kind and fun person. But I get that everybody doesn't like the marketing side of things. So many choices out here though. Thank you so much

Nice review! Ben's a treasure in the knife world
Such a great dude. Thanks

I absolutely love the knife but there is a little bit of spring lash/detent lash with my example as well.
Yeah interesting when I figured that out. It's not bad but it's definitely there. Thanks
But that's the only flaw for me. I love the clutch lock, the blade shape, action, and price. After sharpening the steel it also seems to be at the proper HRC. My Lander 2 has that bit of movement in the closed position, too. It doesn't bother me as I didn't notice it before this video.
Yeah I don't know that it's a big deal. It's just something to be aware of in case it were to pop open or anything like that, but I don't think it will. Thanks
@@KnivesFAST So far, so good.

That's a no for me. Lol. Ouch. Thanks

Yeah in a small knife, especially contoured scales. Make a huge difference. Thanks
The original Lander is a nice knife but a little small for me. Lander 2 is right sized. No spring lash on mine. Kizer does such a nice job on their blades.
Nice. Good to hear. It's a great knife either way. Thanks!
Sweet, a larger lander. Great job KC
Yeah it's so good. Thanks
I like the 2 for its larger size and better steel.

Yeah, unfortunately springs definitely cause some interesting things. But they're both great knives. Thanks
Just ordered the micarta/stonewash version. Should arrive tomorrow 🔪🔪
Nice. I really enjoy that one. Thanks
The Lander is great, would like go give the Lander 2 a try. Kizer’s clutch system is great.
Yes sir. The size of this one. And the style of blade really are for me. Thanks
Very nice great looking knife! Love that Blue!!

Hmm...sweet guy! Why buy a ben knife if you don't like him? Just curious
