Ko Olina offers a unique experience with its Japanese - tropical island mashup. It has a slope rating of 138 from the back tees at 6815 yards long. Ko Olina received the following scores:
    Playability 4/5
    - Great for mid-handicappers. You’ll find most of your bad hits and non-fairway shots aren’t overly punishing. Excellent maintenance and condition.
    Value 4/5
    - We paid $173 for a full round which includes carts, logoed tees, ball marker, and tumbler. Ko Olina gets a 4 because the experience matches what you’d expect to get based on the price.
    Travel Score 5/5
    - Ko Olina is worth planning a vacation to play. Whether you it’s the only course you play or one of many, you can’t go wrong with Ko Olina on your list of must plays.

You talked about the clubhouse being so nice, it would be nice to show it in the review.

Checking out your list, I've played here too, while staying at the Aulani. Excellent course, fun, easy playing with the wide fairways (not *easy), and was in excellent condition. I agree that it is the best *public golf course conditions ive ever played in (Sahalee #1 for me). It's a little pricey, whatever, what isn't in Hawaii, worth every penny!

Nice video. I have been lucky enough to travel here for the last 5 years. Even in the COVID days the course was in great condition. During that period you had to being your drink and the snack shop was closed.
You were lucky on #8. When the hole is cut on the front you can easily roll the ball into the water. The other point of advice for folks thinking about playing here is the holes 12, 13 and 14are into the trade winds. 12 is the par 3 with the waterfall and then 13 and 15 are par 5's into the teeth of the wind. Just relax on these holes and swing easy.

Great video, this is very helpful. I'm headed to the island this week and have a tee time booked for Jan 9th. That's really cool they give you a free tumbler. I wish more courses did that.

I played here back in March of 2022, it is an amazing maintained course the only draw back of the course is that it really isn't that challenging off the tee, it seemed that every tee shot was sort of grip it and rip it. As far as the videos it would be great to feature a few of the holes you liked or disliked.

Hello! Nice content! Is this cart path only at this course?

This course seems pretty flat and open. How fast were the greens? Going to Oahu this September and only have one day to play golf. Ko olina or royal hawaiian?

Ko’olina is really nice, resort style golf course. Royal Hawaiian is in the jungle no houses just target golf lots of lost balls. Ko’olina is better maintained but Royal Hawaiian has some nice views. I play Royal Hawaiian once a week(live about 3 mins away) and Ko’olina about 4 times a year. Green speed is affected by the rainfall so royal Hawaiian on a sunny day will have really fast greens. Ko’olina is not in a forest so they can control the water better, but still pretty fast greens, not tour speed but quick.

Purple Pidgin thanks for your input. I still cant decide where. Lol i know ko olina hosts (or hosted) many LPGA events there. Thats my main reason wanting to play there. Royal hawaiian just looks awesome. Looks like a scene from the movie Jurassic park. Lol

I’m confused on how to have enough money to golf everywhere. How do you do that?
