Just is like the old ghosts of armada invencible return to england to say you..."Hello!!! We are coming!!! We conciliate with progress forgetting darkness." It is a romantic postage. Salutes to Britain.
Impresionante galeón. Me encanta.
The fact they got bilge pumps running and onboard engine kinda kills it. A square rigged gallon can be steered by sails alone, don't even need the rudder.
The engine makes docking and undocking in ports safe and fast, otherwise you would be entirely dependent on being towed by other vessels, perhaps even from quite a distance if the wind and tides are not right. Just like they did in the 16th century, my friend. Just common sense.
That is so awesome beautiful gorgeous sexy ship would love to own that baby such a beautiful ship so well-made and beautiful they certainly don't make them like they used to I would love to own that boat
It does sail, the engine is a backup to the sails. They generally use it to get out of ports and maneuver in storms. According to the website, they try to provide the real thing sailing with sails, so the engine is rarely used.

Well, actually they were there a few times more in these 400 years. In Cornwall and Scotland they still remember them. Also in Ireland, but that's another topic.
The engine is a backup to the sails for entering and getting out of ports, also used in heavy storms. They sail under sail for as long as they can, though.
Its such a spectacle that the dog even got on the wall to take a gander at that beautiful beast!! Id love to make way on that any day!!!!!
What a sight to behold

Agreed, but I think it's more a safety measure than just comfort. It's too unique to rely on wind and sails.

Are there pictures anywhere of it under full sail?

I have yet to see her under sail. Do they know how or do they use the engine for everything?
the engine is mandatory by law so it has it. They only use it to enter the ports and sometimes in the sea
@@magicogonzalez8465 Thanks.

So im assuming theres an engine moving it since the sails are up? Does it ever sail anymore?
yup

Looks cool
Great video. But showing a galleon from 16th century flying a Spanish flag that wasn't adopted till 200 years later
Es verdad es esta la bandera....jejee

I was wondering why it has a engine.... be cool see it without one
Approach to port and docking is much safer, faster and more comfortable. It is a small auxiliary motor.
I never thought of that.. good point.... safer makes alot sense
Because nobody want die in the sea like the XVI century sailors...
