@@renelesch6244 i dont think sushi will go far with ghostkid. he is too set in his style, no room for real evolution. If he enjoys it, cool. but eskimo proved that fresh air in the genre is a kicker and exploded post hypa hypa and MCthunder2.

They did all kinds of music, this was more like dark but they also did lots of fun stuff at the beginning. And for example MC Thunder 1 was also with the old Lead Singer.
Not sure if you’re aware but the “emo” singer is Sushi (or Sebastian) who is now the current lead singer of Ghostkid.

Let me explain the meaning of the music video to you:
This two figures are shall show how one person can be affected by drugs. The dark person is the in this video the drug and it pushes the white person till death.
It says something like: Sometimes your addiction ends the moment your life ends too.
I whish you can go waaaaaay back to their first album with songs like "Is Anyone Up?" and "Muffin Purper-Gurk". Or to their secound (and personlly favorite) album "We Are the mess"

Like, I have no qualms with the black splatter over the non-music-video part, but it just kinda ends up being distracting when it’s overtop the music video as well?
Hey thanks Ashley! I’m actually about to have more splatter over the video portion moving forward, the constant battle to get my videos past copyright is getting a bit ridiculous and I’m doing everything I can to not have to edit and upload 4 or 5 times before they’re unblocked. I am also now seeing old videos getting retroactively blocked which isn’t fun. I’m now learning that other channels that seem to be able to not require video obstruction or pausing are either on a ‘white list’ from the label that owns the music or have out in a dispute and although their video is up now it will probably get taken down after the 30 day dispute period. It’s not what I thought it was before I started actually making these things! But I completely understand it isn’t great!

My opinion to the videos Story: he loves an innocent girl with her own kind of problems(the hands from the mirrors) , she makes him feel like home. he can't resist her (falling into the haze of her perfume) but he knows that his presence was always corrupting for other people (symbolized by the bugs on her while they finally "share apples"). From there he would do anything for her (Jesus symbolizes the sacrifice he's willing to make). They complete each other like Ying yang, and wherever they go they'll do it together..He would die for her and if she decides to go, it's time for him aswell.

Its about drug addition, the she is a drug most likely crystal meth and how it brings you down.
They have never taken themselves seriously (see Muffin Purper-Gurk specifically as reference), although I do understand what you mean with 'matured'. They've always been talented guys who just wanted to have fun but now they've become soo good skill-wise, they just know how to write and produce objectively good songs. I still like their old music, I've been a fan since 2012, but I also prefer their new stuff. Nico's voice is very nice, too
