Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

As this song is the only one without a video everytime I listened to this track. I imagine Nico sitting in a bus with his head against the window as the rain drops slowly meander down the window pane.
Can I just point out something I don't think iv seen before in this song, Kevin has a fantastic clean vocal aswell! You don't ever really hear it but I'd like to hear more

For a party band this slapped me in the face and heart. It hurt so good
I almost wonder if you couldn't argue that they "kind of" were overnight? wasn't Hypa Hypa the first release with Nico? While the rest of the band has been doing this for a while, he just joined and it was his first round of songs with them shot them up? So overnight for him, but blood, sweat, and tears for the rest. Although I gotta wonder if the events of '20 didn't have something to do with helping give them a boost too, it seems like the reactor scene really shot up that year with everyone at home, and obv Hypa Hypa was HUGE in that area. So lots of factors, but just something I happened to think about and am curious on your thoughts.
Then again, Nico at that point was in the industry for ages, and on the verge of giving up music (he talked about that in one of their vlogs or interviews I think), so I think he also put in blood, sweat and tears, just in the other band. The magical moment happened after that EC audition, both for EC and Nico, I think. I do agree on the COVID point, tho, I think they really utilised the power of the reactor scene and social medias.
@@yssanne24601 Nico was in a band called to the rats and wolves before EC. But I personally never like EC before Nico that much, but since he joined the band has been one of my favorites
@@skollbrod I know about TTTAW, yeah (that's why I said he's been in the industry for a while), and I feel the same about EC like you, it's like something really special happened.

If you appreciate Chester vibes, definitely check out the band Riverline. I don't think it warrants a reaction video, just for yourself. Songs like Collateral or Elements will do nicely 🙃
Linkin Park once did two songs with Steve Aoki, "Darker Than Blood" and "A Light That Never Comes" and I get this vibe here a lot plus several tracks from Living Things. Best way to end Tekkno!
