I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES, THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING CONTENT!!!! 🖌 🎨 😍
Thank you for explaining the story or vision behind The Scream. Its not actually a figure, it simply represents the scream of the natural' world, in a way that humans can understand.
I have heard the trees and the sea expressing their grief and sadness and their joy and confidence, using words but, more significantly, I could feel the emotion, which I possibly converted into words.
It would be a challenge to express this in a painting, without using human forms.
Saw his works in the late seventies in the National Gallery. It blew me away...masterpieces...love his art. Thank you for this video.
As always, another compelling & concise outing by Raiders of the Lost Art/Perspective!
Many Thanks & Continue Your Grand Work.
Franz Marc's lost masterpiece The Tower of Blue Horses (Der Turm der blauen Pferde) 1913, would be a topic of interest, for a future episode.
Or, a much neglected topic : Edvard Munch's intense photographic works.
I used to have a refridgerator magnet of The Scream.😁
Superb series
Good afternoon everyone
He was born a bit too early for his style. A few more decades and his affinity for skulls and abstract morbidism would be everywhere. Yes, I know he is likely to be what started the whole "trend", but it's an interesting thought.
Van goghs smoking skeleton.
Thank you to the producers for providing TEXT. The various honorable commentators have accents that are difficult for me to understand. Providing text is so helpful in completing the understanding of this incredible presentation. EVERY VIDEO in all of these playlists are so much appreciated. I am sharing with everyone I know.
Much appreciated! And thank you!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Thank you.
IMHO, I would suggest the figure is not screaming, but hearing a scream. The inscription on the first drawing seems to confirm this idea. The figure is holding his hands over his ears. He is hearing nature scream and is startled and aghast at that sound, at that angst that is part of reality, if you are open to moving beyond distractions of everyday life. I'm not an art critic, but that is how I have seen the picture since my husband pointed out that the figure has his hands over his ears. I liked learning about the vision behind the iconic image.
I'd like o know says the figure is doing a scream?
Is this the full documentary? Wanted to watch the documentary about the man who stole scream.
"A handsome man, made manifest into his world encompassing a black vortex unfolding memory".
Jesus wept.
I have tried to draw this famous paintings 😃
This poster allows way too much ad spam!
Hochachtung...Edward Munch...
GET RID OF THE MUSIC!!! - I can't hear a thing
The biggest thing both van Gogh en Munch have in common that they are always pronounced wrong. annoying. Munk and van Gof....lol
This is a magnificent depiction of what conservative America did after Biden was elected.....
The scream comes to mind when I think of Joe Biden.
This isn't a political discussion channel. Move on.
You guys just make everything so childish.
Like a true idiotic Republican-- trying now to make Art into some dumb poliitcal statement. Give it up ,lord!!😬😬!
