I used to lay on the ground next to the TV as a kid in the 90s not even knowing what ASMR was but just liking how it felt listening to this show.
Same, I remember telling my mom "whoa his voice is really soft" while she was watching it one evening and before I knew it, I was napping away on the floor with a pillow
For me it was when I came home from school.
Are used to watch him on Saturday afternoons on CRU TV in Austin in the 90s after the victory guard of all programs
Of course. Ever happen when someone narrates a story? A good storyteller can do the same thing. Bob was telling a great story.

Bob Ross was a calming force in my life. I used to watch him on my tv upstairs in my room when I was a little kid, just to get away from my abusive mother. Thank goodness PBS was the one channel I could get on my rabbit ears… UHF reception sucked lol.
At any rate, he would literally soothe my soul and I would get a small reprieve from the horrible life I was living.

As someone who grew up with comprehension cards, dictation, spelling tests, and reading out loud in class, and years later to now, this is brilliant for mental health; as so many 'earthy', 'grounded' things are missing from the digital world, thank you Bob.

I've seen nearly every episode, I've painted along now and then and the Bob Ross paints and tools feel how they sound, Bob was one of the most comforting Human beings to watch and listen to. Thank for this super edit of the old Knife.
Don’t buy Bob Ross products. Some crazy old bat owns his name and sued Bobs’ son. Stole his legacy from his family.

@redbeard831 they gave you awful recommendations for ad blockers. Only ever use ad block plus it's a Google Chrome extension. Some fraudulent extensions like replica ad blockers can steal your information

Thank you for this upload it is just what I was looking for. A nice black screen and only the sound of Bob Ross painting with No Ads! I hate the Ads while trying to sleep as they sound louder than the damn videos and they always have someone talking so loud with music playing.

That was the point of this video. Many people, including me, use this video to sleep. They would copyright the video and put ads on it. Ruins the experience. This way fixed that.
Perhaps one day, I'll put up a version for people who want to SEE the video and not for the ASMR factor.

When I try to turn this on it’s black. I hear Bob but no image.
The black screen is because when I put the video on, it gets copyright claims. Those copyright claims then give the rights holders the ability to place ads on the videos. Yes, that was the point of the video. People use it for sleeping to, and video causes copyright claims and then ads appear, it's just a nightmare to deal with, so I run black screen to reduce ads as much as possible, in alot of cases none, and a black screen to remove copyright.

And why the black screen?
The videos I upload are for people who like to listen to Bob Ross while sleeping. The black screen does 2 things, 1) keep the screen dark (usually on a cell phone next to the bed) and 2) Parent company for Bob Ross likes to throw Copyright Strikes at videos that show the paintings.

I was a patient at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto in the late 80's and whenever I was anxious and Bob Ross came on the TV I calmed down right away and would fall asleep in no time....still watch his videos even when I need to relax
