- I show you how to assemble your amigurumi together by using 2 different sewing methods: The Whip Stitch and the Seamless stitch.
I'll use either or depending on what I feel the amigurumi needs!
Look for my tips on when to use what!
In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to sew an amigurumi together using a Mario Mushroom crochet project. Let me know which stitch you prefer for sewing your amigurumis!

When I made my first amigurumi, the assembly was a headache for me. This makes it look so much easier! Thanks! I’ll try your methods 💗
The seamless stitch is so nice to know, other tutorials just speed that up. Thanks for the video ❤
You made my day! I've been struggling to attach the muzzle/snout of a bear on but it never looked right. I used your seamless way and it looks really nice and clean now. Thank you! 🌹🌹🌹
Love that mushroom, so cute! When I whip stitch I usually go through just the back loops only. That way the front loops end up creating a neat join that partially covers up the stitches (hope that makes sense). The running stitch (your seamless option) is perfect, as you mentioned, for flat pieces. Depending on the design, I sometimes also crochet pieces together using slip stitch or single crochet. I think this is a great option for amigurumi for kids as it's almost impossible to pull them apart, lol. Thanks so much for sharing what you do!
Do you know of a video that shows this for amigurumi?
You just made my day! This is the best tutorial I've seen so far. I crochet my amigurumi eyes and was having a hard time sewing them on without the stitches showing. Thank you so much.
Thank you! I just started crocheting this week and this was super beginner friendly with great directions. 🍄
Thank you for your tutorial. I managed to do a much neater seam after learning from you.
This was a really helpful tutorial thank you :D
This is one of the better attaching videos for sure. You are short sweet and to the point and no needless talking for half the video. Plus you actually show what stitches to go through and are very thorough. Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!
This was very helpful. Thank you 😊
Thank you. My flat pieces didn't seem as nice cause I was sewing over the stitches instead of going to the next stitch. I finally understood what I was doing wrong, thanks to you.
I'm so glad you found it helpful. It does definitely make for a nicer finish!
This was very helpful thank you!!

Glad you found it useful!
I'm so glad i found your video because i was having so much trouble joining my pieces together. Best instructions i've seen so far. Thank you 😢😢😢
Great video but I didn't really understand how to do the seamless join. Like where exactly do you go in & out
Try to think the seamless stitch as going in between the sides of the stitches. You never want to go OVER or on TOP of the stitches.
You're basically sewing under and over the posts of your crochet stitches, underneath the head of each stitch. Hopefully I didn't just confuse you more, lol
THANK YOUUUU AMI YOU HELPED MAKE MY FIRST MUSHROOM
