- This is my video on how you can install a aftermarket stereo in your 2004 dodge neon. Mine happens to be the SXT trim package but I'm sure that it works on all other trim models as well. If you like the video, please comment, rate, and subscribe. Thanks!!

dude that was awesome thank you so much. Now I know how to install my aftermarket stereo on my 2005 dodge neon. without peeling any wires from the original connections like most people do. you rock on brother.
Picked up the same radio for $16 bucks on sale at Walmart. Followed your video, and everything was spot on. Also picked up the Scosche UAA1 Universal Antenna Adapter at Walmart. Great Video. Thanks again.
I picked up a BT board from ali express for $4 and got to keep my system stock. But this works too :)
You the man! Thanks alot! Would be lost without you
Thanks mine worked perfectly!!! Awesome
Same car and bought the same radio 😂😂😂😂 thanks
Thx bro, that is super helpful
not all heroes wear capes.
Thanks man this help me out a lot
Your video helped a lot thanks
You should solder the wires with that splicing method, or just use insulated wire crimps.
Excellent how- to ... Thx. Think I purchased the wrong harness though
Always ask or look at the back of adaptors. Will tell you what make and model it can fit
Thanks a lot dude.
This was super helpful, I have a 2003 dodge neon, do you know if they’re pretty similar in regards to the stereo specifications?
Yes! Pretty much 100 from 2000till 05
I have a 2002 I was just going to ask that! Lol
@@Burrberry954 me too lol
Thanks for the help!
Hey so where did u get the adapter to be able to fit it into the dash. I dont have that
Thanks for the video but add the part #s next time
There no orange illumination wire on the stereo will that affect the dash board lights ?
Outstanding.
It sounds good.
I bought an Alpine from Crutchfield and they had an available wiring harness premade. Tomorrow I put it in, and after watching the video I am a lot less nervous about taking it apart! I do have a question, I have a CD in the OEM unit, how can I get that out without destroying it?
Would this work for an older model that has the tape deck there instead of cd? the deck replacement i mean
Can I use electrical tape instead of heat srinks?
If I don't have the adapter, can I connect directly the aftermarket stereo wires to the car wires? Or is it better to purchase the adapter?
Fingoldhros u can, but its way better to get the $10 adapter
EFFEKT Record's Ok, thanks a lot
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼thanks 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I pulled out my old deck. Do i still need the wires?
Do you have to turn off airbags and disconnect the battery before doing the stereo replacement? I heard rumors that you should and don’t want to electrocute my self 😂
Is it gonna be the same process for a 2005? I’ve never done this and don’t wanna screw anything up...
Yep
I THOUGHT IT WAS AN SRT4 AWW BALLS😂😂😂
Ok I have a 2001 dodge neon and I got a radio harness from the same car as you. I bought the exact same stuff as you but there's no orange illumination wire. What do I do ? Will my dash board light up or will it be dark from now on ?
I have a 2003 Dodge Neon and I have to figure out how to which one I need to do all that lol
and the antenna connection... if not fm wont work
Help! Ok so tryjng to help my stepson put a new radio in his 04. We bought the dash kit and recommended wiring harness but when we took the radio it it had 2 connections. The longer wide one you showed plus a smaller wide square i cant find an adapter with the smaller connection. Will the radio srill work without it or do i need to keep looking?
What if the original radio turns on but no sound comes out. How to fix?
I installed and it works fine but then I try to start my car. It starts then flutters out. Please help
Where did you get the adapter? I can't find one
Walmart
I have an 01 stratus that takes the same adapters
should have connected the antenna before installing the radio.
john b I thought I was the only one to see that lmao
I'm Installing my radio right now do you need to do that first before connecting any wires or are you just saying to check to see if it fits first before install ?
He said he didn't have the adapter and did not care for the radio... Did you watch the video.
Where did you get the connector kit
Hey are you using an adapter
What adapter would you need for the antenna
Does this work with a Pioneer Car Radio too?
donde comprastes todo el kit para instalarlo
No le pusiste la conexión de la antena
How well did the radio work have a 2001 neon that I'm about to be doing it too but with an additional 12-inch subwoofer
I cant seem to either get a good ground or remote
What stereo is that?
I replaced my aftermarket with this stereo in my 2001 neon. Everything works until I connect my phone to charge..it turns off and turns back on repeatably. what could be wrong ?
My heart just sank cuz I just bought all that shit to do the install on my 2001 dodge neon. Ima be installing it tommoro. I'll let you know what goes on with mine and if I have the same problem 💪💪
@@minimotorcruz7877 so what happened?

@@minimotorcruz7877 does the sirius app work with Bluetooth thats a #1 for me?

Where did u get the yellow trim around the radio and heater????
I want to change mine from gray to blue
Spray paint buddy
