I am buying the 2025 new one and I am here thank u !!!! Ur video is soooo valuable and I have been searching for a video like this it’s so clear and I am a new subscriber indeeed + gonna watch the the video for the other 12 bose one
I will say personally speaking. Just bought a 2023 cx30 preferred so 8 speaker harmonics speaker. They are very balanced speakers. The default presets are not great, but the listening experience is quite clear on its audio. It is not very bass heavy and I just bought a subwoofer to try and I stall myself. I am gonna slap that in after some work the next few days. For the audiophiles it is very crisp and clear. It sparkles on the high end and the bass is a little thin even when EQd all the way up for my taste. I don't have a lot of reference to compare against in cars but it is like putting on reference headphones vs getting in my old truck where everything is a bit muddy on the sound. I want some more bass to have fun with so I am gonna try to add a sub and see if that fills out the listening.
This is mazda's harmonic acoustic system. They used pioneer speakers and say its equal to bose. Nobody knows and thinks its base cheapy speakers when its really not
My roommate and I share the CX-30 Carbon with that system, and definitely need EQ it. I use my iPad microphone to capture the pink noise from CarPlay and calibrated to be nearly flat across the spectrum. I need to tune down 10kHz and 16kHz band all the way down, as there is a huge bump up in treble with default setting, and my ear is slightly uncomfortable with that. I need to tune up sub-bass by 2-3 units, and tune down 125Hz by 3-4. Midrange is fine for my unit, and overall it is now pretty balanced and is quite enjoyable for most of the content (except classical music, my roommate reports violin is trash on this system, may be from the tweeter setting).
(Obligatory "I have a mazda 3 with this exact system") The automatic source level adjustment is what's messing with the volume of the guitar at the beginning of the song at 10:30. If you ever get to drive a mazda 3 or cx-30 with the base sound system give it a try! (an other obligatory "I love your vids bla bla bla keep it up!)
Hi,I've just watched your great video and have one question. I'm planning to buy cx30 and want to ask you,in yor opinion, is it worth to go after Bose system or this basic is more the enough for good sound. Thanks😃
Would you recommend to pay the additional price for the BOSE system? O.k...it´s a package and not only the sound system but it is not cheap. And...the Bose sounds really awesome in your test!
@@DailyMotorSound I have a cx30 with this sound system. How could this system be improved? A subwoofer in the trunk or would it be necessary to change a speaker? Great review
Again this is the only system we get here with the CX30 and the Mazda3. No Bose. Like you said, it doesn't matter that much if the upgraded system is mehh. But the Bose is sooo good that getting a Mazda with this system just feels underwhelming.
Dunno if I got a lemon but I have a high pitch sound from my speakers that is really prominent during sounds with loud cymbals and hi-hats. Curious if this is normal or just my car?
I rented one of these in 2022, it was a 2021 model and the sound system was the only thing I didn’t like about it. I’ve heard many new cars with worse sounding systems though. It was alright but not what I’m use to coming from older Chrysler products over the years. The sound system in my 1994 Chrysler Concorde, 2004 dodge ram 1500, and 2006 Chrysler Sebring all blow this out of the water.
I just got a 2024 CX-30 and the sound is horrible. I purposely stayed away from the BOSE as it was in my 2016 CX-5. Who puts 3.5" speakers in a vehicle!? The fader fades to the rear speakers and there is no sound from the alleged rear speakers. I should have known, having so much trouble with the previous CX-5 infotainment system. Ya know, for Mazda to be so 'proud' of their infotainment system, they really crapped the bed with this info-turd.
Honestly not bad. Considering a CX30 Mild Hybrid but the lack of Bose had me on the fence. It's good enough for me.
As someone who uses this sound system daily, it needs a HEAVY eq! The good part is the Equalizer is like 13 bands and gives you a ton of flexibility

Thanks now I can buy the select trim
Did you get it?

How did you install the subwoofer? How to connect it?

I feel the exact same way with this comment, did you end up installing it? And also from where did you buy it?

Its unfortunate that Charlie didn’t catch this for the review
Your channel is so underrated !!
Seems really good for the vehicle price point of just over 30K. Did they provide a wattage of the system?

It's worth it to get the Bose

Yes, the standard system is a big drop down

I agree.
If you never had a car with good speakers, I would give these a B-. It gets the job done.
I was about to say, it sure rains a lot where you are.

How many watts does normal audio have with 8 speakers and how many watts does it have with Bose audio?
Not sure if you tried the base 8 speaker sound system in a Mazda 3 (hatch/sedan), but would you say it's the same as this non-Bose CX-30?
I'd say there's a good chance, yeah
do they all use bose speakers

All you need in this is a woofer and it’s better than Bose !
yes, but how to connect it? Can the spare wheel sub from the mazda bose system be easily added?
I added a 10 inch sub box in mine and it sounds amazing
It's the worst I've ever heard in a stock system since the 80s
There are NO speakers in the rear doors. Move the fader all the way to the rear and there is no sound.

Interesting take. Are there others in this class that you prefer from a sound system point?
@@DailyMotorSound I'm sure any of them would be much better than this sound system.
These 8 speakers are very poor. No bass, flat...sad.
hein frl ???
