Welcome to Sg. It’s a small island with great public transport system buses / trains / taxis (including Grab). The things u need to get upon arrival are: (1) prepaid SIM card with data for your smart phone (2) Easylink card to use the public transport system (buses & MRT only) (3) For setting up home u can go to Daiso shop for very affordable cutlery & kitchen stuff or IKEA mega malls (3) For groceries / supermarkets go to NTUC FairPrice or Sheng Siong or Cold Storage. Cold Storage tend to be more expensive. (4) For good value affordable Sg local food , go to our hawker centres (not the touristy ones like Newton). (5) we have plenty of parks to enjoy your walks.
What a fabulous list - thank you so much for providing this for not only Si and Me but also anyone reading the comments that might be doing something like this in the future!
I am not sure - how I will handle this in the videos - originally I thought only people that lived in the US would be interested in my videos ( largely just family and friends) and of course they are more familiar with Fahrenheit - but it has been amazing that people from Singapore have found my videos and are leaving comments.
But if we are able to travel it is gateway to the half of the world I have never had a chance to experience, and so much is packed into Singapore itself.
We do not have a set time in Singapore. Of course the Employment Pass is just for two years and then it would need renewal.. But the company did not put a time limit. So who knows how long we will be in Singapore - but looking forward to the experience. Thank you for the kind welcome!

I noted you used Fahrenheit for the temperature, you would soon be seeing and using SI units in Singapore.

Glad you decided to join me and Si on this little adventure.
Singapore is very small ,but very nice.

It is intereting to watch this with you now being in Singapore. Can hear the tension and worry in your voice.
Hope that all is going ok.
As you know - it will be that way for a while - just so much to navigate and learn.
@@beyondthenest you and Si will get things sorted and it will work out well.
