Well, considering the decentralized politics of Skyrim, we have to consider that, except for the conquest of Highrock wich was led by the Vrage himself, the invasions were launched by the jarls, in the name of the High King, but he had very little to do with it. With this in mind, we can say that the provinces of High Rock and especially continental Morrowind weren't entirely conquered. For instance, it is said that the nords only conquered the eastern parts of Highrock, since they were stopped at the Bjoulsae river. Then, the foundation of Daggerfall is to be associated with the foundation of Dublin in our timeline, by colonists that arrived by sea. As to Morrowind, i cannot believe that the nords with irregular armies could hold that much of territories with an effective administration. The western parts of the province may have been annexed to the eastern holds of Skyrim, but nothing else. My theory there is that the nords used some allied chimer tribes to control the rest of the province for them and subdue any restistance in exchange for wealth and political power from the jarls.
I see the Nordic "Empire" similar to the Great Heathen invasion of Britain in our own timeline where instead of a unified Empire there was instead a lose confederation of largely independent (still swore fealty to High King Vrage) Jarldoms.
Cope. This is obviously propaganda by knife ears and br*tons. The Nordic Empire was GLORIOUS, and is a testament to the PURE VITALITY of NORDIC CONQUEST. YSMIR, DRAGON OF THE NORTH, AND HIS GLORIOUS TONGUES. GLORY TO SKYRIM. GLORY TO SHOR.
Here is a suggestion on future topics: cover the connection of Gauldur to the Eye of Magnus. There should be the reason why one of his sons was buried with the eye in Saarthal and Gauldur himself being such a powerful magician.
Dude wrong Era I was talking about the political struggle in oblivion also I think you got the wrong guy Hjalti is Ysmir who brought back the Nordic pantheon from the imperial one it was Olaf one eye who replace the Nordic with the imperial one
+Archus orez Olaf didn't replace the Nordic Pantheon, as Olaf died in the First Era, yet the Nords still worshipped their own gods well into the Third Era. They only changed Pantheons sometime in the Fourth Era.
As stated in the video Olaf indeed did replace Nordic pantheon however Ysmir restored the pantheon later in the 1st era which is why the nords worshipped their gods in the third era
Imperial knowledge you missed ysmir wulfharth the one who freed skyrim of the allession pantheon and reestablish the nordic one he also took back the reach from the reachmen
really the ghost brother of Hjalti tells you ysmir conquered it granted the reach always slips away from skyrim control now and then looking at the recent incident in markarth anywho after Olaf's death the reach was lost by skyrim and fell under the reachmen again
proudest son of terra literally in the video the reach was conqeured in conquest of the Nordic empire being among the first provinces of the empire so yes the reach belongs to skyrim
sword brother my bad regarding Hjalti's name it was Ysmir first name it was the grey beards that gave him the name Ysmir dragon of the north my argument stands Ysmir had to take back the reach
I know it wouldn't be a lore video but I would like to see what you think of the ESO alliances and what you would do instead if you have a problem of how it was done.
Thu'um > altermer magic Lesson? Tonal magic *Is* magic, i have my suspecions that not just the dweamer knew thisbbut that the psjjic order also knows this and its why they can reshape their island at will
This is pretty much a summary, for a lot of the more detailed story I can reccomend reading pocket guide to the empire first edition section skyrim!

Anyone else think Ulfric has a map like this? Showing the true Old Kingdom.

Yeah, I highly doubt all of Morrowind was conquered, most of the east was probably taken, but not the entire province.

I assume you read Skyrim books?

Long live the Nordic Empire
Nordic pantheon for the win remember in oblivion when Nords we're nearly successful in replacing the allession pantheon

@@Doralga No, Olaf One Eye did not replace the Nordic Pantheon, that was High King Borgis. Wulfharth tried to restore the Nordic Pantheon.
That would be so cool if the Stormcloaks turn Skyrim into a Nordic Empire the second Nordic Empire
I don’t that’s possible due to the fact that after the civil war IF they win they will be weak and in an era of reconstruction.
When your about to go to sleep but then a new elder scrolls lore video comes out 😪🙃
Please do a lengthened version of it also you're amazing!
Could you do a video on the Morag Tong?
Could you make video about kingdoms of High Rock?
Good video! I covered this in an earlier video of mine. It was awesome to see this topic from another’s perspective. Keep it up!

Hjalti and Ysmir is basically both Talos personified. So, both of them have presumably took Reach under control.

Could you make like a timeline video or something cus when this happened kinda confused me and I think it would be cool. Still love the video tho
Will put it on request list!
Keep up the good work 👍

Where to get that map
I hope one day you can fix the climates on the map. Unless that is supposed to be Merethic Tamriel
Why is it called the First Nordic Empire when there was only one?
It was the first empire of humans, so i guess that's why
