Dear Jimothy Cool, I am writing to express my deep appreciation for your Competitive Pokémon videos. Just as Sleep Powder gently lulls a Pokémon into a peaceful slumber and Yawn gradually induces drowsiness, your insightful commentary and calming delivery have a similarly soothing effect on me. The detailed strategies and engaging content not only enhance my understanding of competitive play but also help me unwind and transition into a restful state.
Between this and Pinkacross’s videos this has really helped me learn the differences between archetypes. This for the history of offense, and Pinkacross’s for the theory of offense.
I'm so excited to see this Gen III team running around the ADV ladder for the next month. ...anyway I'm off to ladder with this Gen III team, wish me luck.
I'm getting back into pokemon via pokemmo. And I gotta say your vids have been super interesting to me. I always watched competitive pokemon videos. This is the first time I can actually apply anything in my own gameplay!
Enlightening video as always Mr Cool. We truly appreciate the daily videos. However I am here once again asking for your support in shining light on Raichu and other forgotten evolutions on behalf of the F.E.A. Thank you for your time and the great content.
I got into competitive when gen 8 was current. On the first team I ever built scarf Galarian Zapdos, was the MVP. Was probably a pain in the rear for my opponent with how often I clicked u-turn but I had a good time. Had close combat, brave bird, and u-turn. Last move was probably like blaze kick. Ive since built many teams with many mons, but still have soft spot for my little u-turn spammer. In fact I think I might go build a team with it right now.
@@enderchau954 STAB is really valuable though, and speaking of waters, i'm also surprised by the lack of cloyster with Shell smash, suits offensive very well.
13:59 is punishment that popular on gen 5 sets of landorus-T? Don't really see it ever at all in later games as a move you'd want to use competitively.
Big Jim! I’ve lately been enjoying your content and see you like running odd ball teams once in a while, one of my favorite mons was a tauros I had back in the day named Bodacious, and I was wondering if you’d like to run a set with one, maybe a CB set with fighting coverage for Tar, Bliss, Lax?
In Gen1, I got to 1500 with three boomers (Eggy Gengar Snorlax) combined with Alkazam, Tauros and swapping out Chansey for Persian. But I guess that would count as Hyper Offensive already.
I like gen 6 more than gen 7 tbh because i do not love Z moves dealing some damage through protect or the Ultra Beasts and Magearna running rampant...oh, there's also Toxapex wich unsurprisingly is a very toxic wall. However i still enjoy that meta purely because i love the Tapus.

I saw Jynx in the thumbnail and read it, "A History of 'Offensive' Competitive Pokemon" lol
I did, too, at first and was wondering how many could there be lol

That had to be intentional by our old pal Jim.
117 subs? A massive win for offensive people
I must say however, that I do find it very offensive
Between this and Pinkacross’s videos this has really helped me learn the differences between archetypes. This for the history of offense, and Pinkacross’s for the theory of offense.
In competitive Pokemon, there is a spectrum that team styles fall onto.
From defensive to offensive
On the far end of the defensive side is stall

2:26 Yeah, I definitely feel you on this one, especially since everything has maxed out bulk and no items.
Favorite one that comes to mind recently was Tera Poison Heidrigon running sub draco to counter nacl and Kingambit
our horse power is going up like electric cars are going up in flames

Surprised by the lack of ice types, like mamoswine or especially weavile, its a typing thats all about offense.
Ice Beam is so common on water types that it doesn't need heavily and mamo as much.(Unless you're a gen 9 kyurem or you have ice spiner.)
@@enderchau954 STAB is really valuable though, and speaking of waters, i'm also surprised by the lack of cloyster with Shell smash, suits offensive very well.
@et34t34fdf Shell Smash is for hyper offense even without whiteherb. You either using the one time use item or risk dying because of defense drop.

for gen 1 teams, eggy is (if you're skilled enough with team building) a good replacement for chansey due to both of them posessing dual status
