It was not a 4000 elo bot.A 4000 elo bot does not exist yet and its probably a 2000-2100 level engine.Brand new stockfish I think 3750 would finish the game a long time ago

I had to wear coke-bottle bottom glasses as they called them when I was growing up in the 70's and Canadian kids were merciless. I was physically mentally and emotionally abused to the point that even mow 50 years later, that scars of this society are still painful. I understand your reservation. at the same time isn't it entirely possible there are savants that dont play chess because they gonna make a lot more studying to be doctors? or don't do well socially and get picked up on the chess the scene, people like dustin hoffman's rainman? I mean it's online so you obviously can never tell, but there's plenty of evidence of peoples brains working like supercomputers when it comes to stuff like this, just because they aren't known chess players doesn't necessarily mean they are cheating
and i imagine if they got banned they'd probably not care and move on
its just a hypothetical but if rainman beat you at chess and got banned, he'd probably go for drive instead, he's an excellent driver

Depends on the game. If you catch someone with a known idea and checkmate them in seven moves, you can get a 100% game at like 400. Basically, accuracy doesn't mean much if the moves are known or easy to find. Obviously, in this guy's case, it went the other way.

Noticed in chat someone mentioned him taking 8 seconds to move. That's an old rule, the engines are faster than that now and if it's a bot it can move in 0.1-0.3 seconds every single move.
You can set the time. So if you’re playing rapid you might set it to 8 to make the moves look more realistic

8 seconds is roughly the time for someone who cant play chess making the move in an engine in another tab, then copying the response
