How to stop snacking! Or how to make your meals more well balanced. That’s what I always struggle with while in a cut.

Jenna Henson yes! Snacking is my downfall.

What helped me with this was planning my whole day of food on my fitness pal a day in advance, add snacks into your daily calorie goals. If you have an extra snack that’s not already tracked, just track it, that will either motivate you to stick to the plan better or you can always eliminate a snack you had planned later in the day🙂

I absolutely love food and eating it. It has been a comfort for me and also cures any boredom i may have. I would over eat until i was stuffed and eat again as soon as there was just a little bit of room and i would eat anything i wanted. With that being said, THAT compared to snacking is a huge difference. So if my tactic can work for me, it might be able to help you. Food and the relationship we have with it activates the reward sensor in the brain so if you can try to force yourself to start viewing food as fuel instead of a reward, a relationship or whatever it may be, you might be able to not have such a hard time. That helps me a lot not only to stop over eating but also to make wiser food choices. I started looking at unhealthy foods as sludge and starting looking at my body as a high dollar car and told myself to take care of it because its valuable. Don't put sludge in your Lamborghini girl lol
      I hope this helps :)

have you suffered from any body dysmorphia since losing a lot of weight? I have lost 20 pounds since my journey began, and that 20 pounds has changed my body drastically, but some days I look in the mirror and see myself when I was at my beginning weight, and it can be very debililating.

Most times i can try to push through it and cry the entire way home.... if i get too bad, i leave, take a day off and come back to redo that days workout so I know I completed it the best I can. It was not that expensive compared to other nice ones. It is a Renpho scale. The reviews were great and I have had it for about a year and it is extremely accurate. They have an app that bluetooth connects to the scale and so you open the app, step on the scale and then then all the info will show up on your phone and tell you if your levels are low, normal, or high and it also keeps track of everything, each time you weigh yourself. The app has trend graphs. Its honestly really cool

Make sure you eat enough "healty" calories. If you eat enough of that in a day you would be full and maybe not crave those fast foods anymore. What helps me, every time i crave fast food or wanna go binge eating make sure you got veggies in house like cuccumber or carrot. When you feel a craving comming up you can eat those veggies and not gain a lot of calories

Don’t lower your calories to drastically and don’t be too strict . I struggled w / binge eating and what helped me is doing a kinda 80/20 . I eat chocolate , donuts everyday or try and fit sth in I crave instead of going for the low calorie protein options . That way I still achieve my goals but I do not feel deprived of anything .
Also I still crave fast food but I tell myself that I am grateful that I get to choose healthy options and embark on this journey and , that way I get excited to go for a healthy option over processed foods because of the way it makes me feel :))

i am a big fan of weighting myself everyday. i did this for 10 years. i think it depends on why you do this. i was never in a diet. i just wanted to have a comparison without any pressure while training hard and gaining muscles. anyway, throughout this i know how much your weight can be influenced through the cycle you are in (as a woman), how much water/ salt/ carbohydrates / sleep you had yesterday. because i know my body so well, i can not recommend to wheigt yourself once a week or every two weeks. it says nothing.

I don’t know whether just eating what I want is good? I eat very healthily meal wise but snack on sugary things often. I have tried snacking healthily, fruit with almond butter, little bits of dark chocolate, nuts & seeds, etc. But no matter what the snack how nice it is or how much of it I eat, I always still want that one unhealthy snack. Is it better to just eat the unhealthy snack to begin with , say, a chocolate bar? Rather than overeat all the healthy snacks and end up eating too many calories & still craving the unhealthy stuff?

Mari! How long should we wait until we decrease our calorie intake again? A week? Two weeks? And what is a healthy amount of calories to eliminate?
Like for example, if you eat 2000 cal. a day, and you decrease by 100 so that you're eating 1900 cal., how long do we do that before we decrease again, and how much is too much cutting?

Would also love to know more about how many bulk / cut phases you’ve gone through and how long they were / how much your body changed in each phase.

Question! So you mentioned when starting out, we should eat as many calories as possible and slowly decrease to encourage better results. I’m not sure how many calories I started out at, probably like 2,000 per day. But I’ve cut it down to 1,200 most days. So of course I am losing weight but now I’m wondering how to go about correcting this! Starting to go to the gym, mostly cardio and some weights. How should I adjust my calories now? Slowly increase? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks 💗

Kristen Jeffries Drink ACV Daily diluted. Try OMAD. Drink 1 glass of water before you eat. You’d most likely be a bit fuller. When you think you’re hungry drink water. Most times your thirsty not hungry. Stop eating after 8pm. Be consistent ! Make it a lifestyle not a diet.

    • @mir8469
      @mir8469 4 роки тому +2

Cralisa Victoria why stop eating after 8 pm . I don’t mean to be disrespectful but that is total bs ! Your body has no “ clock “ so it really doesn’t matter when you eat , as long as you eat in a deficit / maintenance.
You can try to eat intuitively and eat when you are hungry and stop whenever you are full . Drinking a glass of water is actually a good idea because you normally are thirsty and not hungry .
If you want to start tracking your food , I’d suggest downloading a calorie counting app and tracking what you eat for a day . If you maintained your weight for the last months you know that this amount is what you need to maintained your weight . If are gaining weight you can start lowering calories up to about 20% .
You can also go onto macrocalculator.com and have your calories calculated manually .
You can then distribute those calories over the course of the day / how ever many meals you want to eat .
If you have any other questions feel free to ask . I hope that helped :)

Maybe tips for eating meals in the dining hall at college. When I'm home I feel I snack less and eat better but at my school, it can be hard to eat healthy without literally eating a salad and chicken every night or rice and chicken.

Perfect timing! I wanted to start cutting. I’m on week 7 on guide 1. I’m definitely getting a lot stronger but not losing much fat. I used to do a good bit of cardio (Peloton 2-3x a week and running). Wondering if I need to add in cardio again.. should I do HIIT or steady state cardio? I’d love to get meal ideas! Any thoughts on intermittent fasting?

Monica Guadalupe Garcia I watched an old video of hers that said she started off doing weight training for a few months bc she did not workout previously and that was enough. Eventually she plateaued and incorporated cardio for 15mins 3-5 days a week along with weight training. Hope this helps!

Hi! I'm a college student and I eat my meals at my school cafeteria because it is much cheaper. I started avoiding bakery in the morning and I put more veggies on my plate at lunch and dinner with some kind of meat
(we usually have fried chicken breast) and a small salad on the side(they only have small ones available). And sometimes I take a chocolate muffin or a chocolate bar to eat at home later(I have a sweet tooth 😂). It's really frustrating not knowing if I'm in a deficit or not, and if I am,by how much exactly because I can't measure my own food. I wanted to ask do you have any tips for a college student like me to make sure they are in a deficit while eating in a cafeteria, and how to maximize my protein intake without protein shakes. I want to lose fat and keep and gain muscle, so I am getting into the routine of going to the gym. Not sure will you see this comment, it's definitely a bit of a long one, but just want to add that I'm really thankful for everything that you do ❤️

Just jumping in to share my opinion :)
Add more meat, chicken, fish and protein-dense plant products such as tofu and beans to your meal (preferrably not fried).
Also, instead of having muffin every night, try to switch to dark chocolate bar maybe?
It's still as yummy imo, minus all the extra carbs from flour & sugar & butter in muffins.
Once you get used to cutting muffins/cakes/sweets, try to switch it up with banana or blueberries (which imo are equally sweet and satisfying).
Sugar addiction is real (you can read all about it) so try to slowly cut down on added sugar.
      Also, no soda/packaged juice/sweetened drinks :)
I guarantee after 2 weeks you'll notice pretty obvious difference!
Eating clean on budget/limited food option is challenging but definitely possible. Good luck :)

Hey love, I couldn’t help but notice... don’t you think 1900 calories for maintenance is pretty low considering you’re 5’11? The average female (5’5ish) maintenance is 1900-2000 cals. I’m 5’5, an avid runner and I maintain on 2400 ish cals. You’re really tall, so I was just shocked. Maybe work on increasing your cals and subsequently metabolism so you can eat more and maintain if you’re interested in that? Love your channel! Xx
