    I love my GB70 so much I leave my lights on overnight so I can use it the next day 🙃

    I bought the GB70 and a carrying case for it several years ago after reading all the reviews and doing a lot of research. I live in a state where the snow is deep and the temps plummet at night. Unless you can plug your car in at night, it can be difficult to start it in the morning, even for batteries with the highest CCA. The GB70 has never failed me and will take on more than I could ever put it thru. It's the best purchase you will ever make. It's very portable and easy to use, not to mention safer to use as well should you ever hook up the clamps to the wrong terminals. I can do quite a number of jumps with it and it would still show a full charge. I didn't use it for a full year one time and when I checked it to see if I needed to charge it, it still had a full charge. I used to haul around one of those huge, heavy, lead acid battery ones that were a pain in the ass. You had to constantly keep recharging them after one or two jumps or check them for a full charge before you could use them if you let them set for longer than a couple of weeks. Plus their life expectancy was short lived after recharging them so many times. I love the GB70 and will buy another one when it comes time to. When that will be, I honestly can't say. It is still performing just as strong as the day I received it several years ago.

    Main issue with these things is the price. For what this costs you can get a really powerful lead-acid unit that will be much safer to use and leave charging unattended.

    What I hate about the noco’s is that they only put out 12v. Most others, Hulkman, gooloo, etc…put out 16v and more power is good if the battery is very low or dead.

      I have a couple of other starters now and this one is the strongest, it will start my di transit with no battery fitted

      It’s not the Voltage that starts your vehicle but the Amps. The amount of amperage your vehicle’s battery that its capable of providing when the vehicles starter try’s to crank over your engine. The true rating on most any battery you should be concerned about used to start your vehicle is its amp or CCA cold cranking amps rating. The voltage is just that the amount of voltage contained in it.
      I hope I explained it right I am 79 years with some dementia that affects my memory. I have had my NoCo 2,000 amp jump starter for 4 years now and I would not leave home without it.

    They say with the noco jump starter when you put it on give it 30 seconds to a 1 min then start it. Where did you get it for £150

    • @smhorse
      @smhorse Рік тому

      I heard that as well. Depends on the state of the battery - sometimes you may need more than a minute.

  • @AgathaAndAnything
    @AgathaAndAnything 3 роки тому

    £150 is good if you rely on having to jump a car quickly and don’t have another car to jump off etc but it’s not something I’d buy. Beard’s coming on tho lol ZZ Top soon ?

    • @NicksGarageUk
      @NicksGarageUk  3 роки тому +2

      Beard is certainly taking over 😬 I bought it because of the low miles I do in the truck so was always expecting it to drop off, battery has a five year warranty tho. Noco maintenance charger has arrived now but the truck may end up parked around the corner from the house depending on the wife so wanted something easy,, plus I will use it for 12v in the metro

    Is the noco still working, a lot of the units fail after very little use due to the internal circuit boards failing.

      @@David-zf5ex I suggest you keep a watch on it.. You do,nt want to rely on it only to realise it,s failed,, My Noco lasted two years then when I came to use it ,it was dead... Its in new condition still have all the boxes,,, it cost me alot of money so am not warning you lightly

      @@lipsee100 Yes I have had a couple fail on me and they had very little use, still looked like brand new, I have been using Topdon units lately and find them brilliant at only half the price of the Gb70, I drive about a lot with work and have used these Topdons to start many people's cars but couldn't risk killing a noco for a stranger.

      I understand your feedback and can only assume you haven’t come across my channel before, I’m totally diy showing the progress of my own projects. I don’t do car repair videos as such just the ups and downs of self repair.. I could have easily edited out my mistake but I’m 100% honest in my videos and that wouldn’t be true to my subscribers
