Not saying it had anything to do with your problems nut don't ever trust starline to work correctly just because it's new, over half there range is not fit for purpose 😒

The camshaft in the pump , pushes on the pistons up , a spring bring that piston back down . the only issue is that on a pump that has been sitting too long , the piston goes up but not back down . the fix is with the help of some atf , to push by hand the piston back down , now the pump will work .that used to be a commen problem .

my diesel bmw wouldnt start when warm and it turned out to be the starter motor would start fine when cold - old starter was still working good.

Id suggest removing the extra fuel pump and look into the engine turning over speed. Maybe a starter on the way out or not quite a good enough ground this can be cheacked easily with a jump lead from battery to starter.

I can understand why you taken the old transit engine out they are slow and noisy but they are bullet proof and reliable but all the time and hard work putting the bmw diesel in (not a bmw expert) and it's all ready braking down can't you make the problem a bit simpler and use one fuel pump with the fuel system but im not a technical person im same as you but i couldn't do all that wireing like you have but good luck im sure you will sort it out mate

We use one pump and one filter fitting m57 into defenders...think your complicating it...

I’m curious as to the two fuel pumps is this for pressure or flow ? What was the pump from the bmw like was it possible to fit it in with the mod that way you have the pump the engine had by design ? Cracking job though well done

I now own the car just failed mot again today on emissions only. Everything else passed with flying colours. Mot tester said its the aftermarket cat. Just bought a new approved cat for it hopefully will pass tommorow

Great work here! I thought the cosworth V6 going into my Transit was quite heavy at 183kg, i think the MT75 gearbox on it is less than 50kg (total= 233kg) but 306kg is astonishing.

I really did think it was a lot of work and not a simple task to make that Bmw engine fit but at least you can use a computer and make parts for it (Not like me) technology I struggle with that's why I gave up being a mechanic my Nvq was in the mid 90s so I carried on being a welder fabricator instead and stick to Ford's or Vauxhall no later then 2005 I can fix but you're doing a great job to do everything correct for your transit that's a good lad helping dad out with it wish my two boys would of learned off me with my trade but wasn't interested it's going to be a great can for carrying vehicles and for towing will have some pulling power and sound great i did see you short clip of you driving it 👍

Good to see it back on the road it sounds great bet it goes well just depends what it's like with weight on or towing but should be fine as you did alot of work to fit that engine 👍

I watched you cut up an MX5 before this video. I will now watch in order. I have a similar plan so will be interesting to see how you go about it. Is there any particular reason you didnt start with a duratec engined car? When i say duratec i mean the mazda version. This will be good 🙂
