The difference in size between the Su-33 and the MiG-29K is very noticeable here.
Yes! The SU-33 was meant to be a big beautiful aircraft much like the Tomcat! It is to allow for better handling at lower speeds for landing on a carrier and also for super-maneuverability. The SU-33 though is unfortunately being replaced. It sucks because it legit is one of my all time favs, but it was never built in large numbers and was a rushed design. I feel the mig-29k's are a decent stop gap but not really a replacement. For the simple fact the SU-33 is a much more capable Multi-role aircraft than the mig. Especially, with a much larger loadout.
Can you guys do a documentary on the SU-33? It's my favorite jet in the SU-27 family and I even have a 1:72 diecast model of SU-33 "88" on my desk
They actually have documentary on here for it. Well, sort of anyway. It's the best one though as there really is no other docs on this great aircraft. But, they go in great detail.
It's a pretty bad aircraft tbh ...sucks in its role
Great video!
The operation is economical and simple, without the need for catapults. Furthermore, there's a reduction in manpower (nearly none) and a decrease in crowding on the platform.
LOL. Yeah, all of the manpower is down below trying to keep the ship’s engines running.
@@tsptl152and to look out for Japanese torpedo boats
The difference between a mig29 and su33 is very noticeable
Always interesting to see the difference in flight deck operations compared to American carriers
Great footage to be had between fires and towing.
They were practicing flight ops while waiting for the tug to arrive
Beautiful fighters.
How old is this video??? Admiral has been out since 2018 pretty much, first with the crane falling on the flight deck, than fire that devastated it. Its not expected to come back till 2023. Hope they can repair it and modernize it and finally fix that arresting cable issue they had for years. Lost 2 planes cause of that in Syria.
I thought it was back on track after watching this video meh
The arresting cables were the least of the problems. The engines were not uptothe mark and could not deliver the required power.
@@rupayanbandyopadhyay3578 Oh I know that amongst other things,am just saying they lost perfectly good expensive jets as a direct result of broken/inoperable cables. She's is old and need serious upgrade. I vote she goes nuclear powered.
Besides the awful things going on right now, I absolutely respect these Russian naval pilots. The skill it takes to land on the Kuznetsov is amazing.
They have to fly for their country unfortunately. I do not blame the crews, airmen, etc. and most of them probably feel nothing but respect for the Ukrainians, or at least that's what I hope...
@@gillhewerfamily6550 please stop being brainwashed by u.s media. Russia had to help the dobass region. ukraine gov. Is not innocent and they had been bombing the civilians of donbas since 2014.

Great footage 💪☦️
Min 1:11 Mig 29 K naval version of Mig 29 Fulcrum
Is that the carrier that is on fire 3 times a month?
Beautiful aircrafts...!
That thing is stuck at the dock after a fire or something fell on it making it cheaper to build a new one. Or something like that
It had a fire inside & damaged a lot of things and now is also going under a refit too
with new modification to the aircraft carrier. this will be as good as those chinese carriers
Can they take off with full loadouts from the Kuznetsov
The only thing that sucks in this video is the Aircraft Carrier. Other than that, it's impresive
Compare to US aircraft carrier its not so good but it will do the job
@@miko886 i just really hope that Russia is able to fix those issues
@@Kalashnikov413 Russians always keep improving things, like when they made the AK-47 they immediately startet to improve it to fix the bad things about it and make it better, in other hand when Americans made M-16 they didnt improve it for a long time.
69 year old achieved footage
Is this recent footage? I thought it was getting a massive overhaul
No its an old footage. Kuznetsov will be operational by 2025
@@rupayanbandyopadhyay3578 the date has been set back to 2024. At that point many new generation aircrafts would’ve already started flying, including the SU-75. I heard that the Kuznetsov will also be equipped with modern weaponry during this overhaul.
ধন্যবাদ...
thanks
But now that is history
Would love to see an episode on the aircraft carrier. Is there no Catapult
No
He meant there's no catapult
It uses a ski jump ramp. This is there first aircraft carrier for conventional take offs so they decided for something simple.
Well the kuznetsov is far from "combat approved" so idk about that documentary. Maybe after her refit is complete
Actually, they went with the ski ramp design as most countries opted to as well who operate similar sized carriers. It's not just the simplicity but is actually superior to catapult design in many situations and aspects. The downside is a lower weight limit depending on the aircraft. But, with the onset of gimbaled engines that too can be dealt with.
Only one carrier 😯😮🤔🤔
RIP Kuznetsov
Okay, let’s not flatter them by calling this an aircraft carrier, they have a little boat with a ramp
This "little boat" can carry more aircraft than the failure of a design Littoral Combat Ships.
@@nercksrule Try the Gerald R. Ford class out for size.
@@RuneyToonZ Oh, do you mean the most expensive ship ever built that has toilets that cost $400,000 to unclog?
Wow... How impressive.

No. Its stuck in dock after some in incident

@@Kozak806 Hi!!! Russia should scrap this carrier, its not worth trying to repair it, they should stick to the Mistral type warships. Cheers 🥂 🥃

@@Zingalamadumi Hi!!! i don’t like those news networks, i watch local news only. Cheers 🥂 🥃
Huh. Looks like Ace Combat actually did purposely give the SU-33 a catapult bar. I thought that was normal for SU-33s
Why dont these aircraft have any ordinance?
I guess this is just a training
Uploader must have hit with nostalgia! Current Admiral Kuznetsov ship is on dock very very burnt and broken
Last info, it will be on see next year.
The UK has ski jumps, why couldn't they just use arrestor wires and and a angled flight deck.
They are cheap and they don’t have the knowledge
That ramp at the end makes me extremely uncomfortable lmao
i thought this dinosaur was a aircraft crusier or something lol
The amount of smoke that’s coming out of that boat is amazing. It’s polluting more than China. 😂 lol.
the ship is detoxing
Dead hahahahahah
Please keep this channel reserved for documentaries as the name implies. We don't need another short clip Zvezda or Ruptly channel.
You'll just bury awesome documentaries under a whole bunch of 2 min clips.
where is everyone? lmao

Top Gunski !!! Funny, how you never see a Russian or ChiCom jet taking off from a ski-jump ramp with ANY external ordnance. None at all...

Looks pretty aircraft carrierish to me. But yeah they got a whole missle load below decks that's for sure.

Nice.
But Americans are cooler because of using catapult.
that carrier works just as well as the russian language sounds to western non-speakers
I really like the ski jump system its much less complicated than the catapult system of US carriers and can never take the ships aircraft out of action.
Trade-off, catapult fighters can carry over 40,000 more lbs of fuel and weapons.
DAMN..this video is quite OLD!! Kurnestov is on the docks for ETERNAL REPAIRS..come onnnnn
Yeah this video is probably like 3 or 4 years old🤣🤣
@@Kozak806 Yup
and much less rust on it than yanky metal coffins too I notice
Why do the russians jets need a ramp when the americans have a flat deck ?
Because they don’t have catapults

Why don't Russia repair it's keiv class carriers and use it.
