Journey is a great American rock band formed in 1973 by former members of Santana, Steve Miller Band & Frumious Bandersnatch. Journey had their biggest commercial success between 78-87, when Steve Perry was lead vocalist. They had so many hits including "Faithfully", "Who's Crying Now", "Still They Ride", "Wheel In The Sky", "Send Her My Love", "After The Fall", "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'", "Any Way You Want It" etc.

Journey is awesome, you mentioned Don't Stop Believing, every morning when I start my workout, I put in my earbuds, and that's the first song on my playlist. Thanks for the shoutout to Veterans and First Responders too, I did 4 years in the navy back in the 80's, and retired as a Firefighter.

I gotta give props to Cathy! This was a collab between the 2 of us! I love me some Journey! Can't go wrong with the 80s!! I'm so happy to see you enjoying yourself with these reactions!

Thanks to you and Cathy for this. I was lucky enough to see Journey live a couple of times. They are one of the few bands and individual singers who were just as good live as the studio version.

It’s so awesome watching these reactions to the songs I grew up on and falling in love with them just like we did as teenagers. Journey during the Steve Perry years was an amazing and epic experience. They were at their pinnacle of success. Keep the Journey reactions coming. There’s so many huge songs…the rabbit hole goes deep with them. Journey On.

This is the music of my childhood here. I had this album on vinyl and played it constantly.
The lead singer Steve Perry stopped recording for years, but just a couple of years ago he finally put out a new album again. You should check it out. My favorite song off his new album is "Most Of All"

Seen them live back inthe day
They sound better live..was an awesome show and it was outside. Show was scheduled for 1.5 hours started lightly raining Steve said if you are willing to be in the rain, we'll keep playing almost 3 hours. Even let people come up, and sing, play. I'll never forget it.

Steve Perry was also a part of USA for Africa "We Are the World", right after Kenny Loggins. I saw you just reviewed that one. ~ Ha, with Journey/Steve Perry, you can't beat 'live'.

Written by Steve Perry and Jonathan Cain.
Jonathan Cain wrote the music when he was a member of The Babys 👶. He presented the music to lead singer John Waite, but he rejected it! 😖 Later that year, 1980, The Babys broke up (perhaps because they grew up! L 🤣 L).
Keyboard 🎹 player and lead singer Greg Rolie retired. Thus, Jonathan Cain joined Journey. He presented the music to Steve Perry. He liked 👍 it and wrote the lyrics.
This song was in the movies 🎥 Heavy Metal and The Last American Virgin. Great 👍 song 🎵
John Waite has no regrets in rejecting Open Arms. 🙄 He sang and is the main writer for Missing You. It was a big hot in 1984! 🤯
When Journey broke up, Bad English and The Storm were formed. Those were 2 bands with members of Journey. A few years ago, Arnel Pineda became the lead singer for Journey. Steve Perry left and is a solo singer.
Suggested videos 📹: 1 John Waite songs Missing You 2 Bad English performs Straight to Your Heart 3 The Storm performs I've Got a Lot to Learn about Love 4 Arnel Pineda and Morissette Amon sing I've Finally Found Someone 5 Steve Perry sings Foolish Heart.

According to the liner notes in Journey's Time3 compilation, Jonathan Cain came to Journey with this melody already written. It could have been a song for the Babys, his previous band, except that Babys vocalist John Waite rejected the melody as "too syrupy." He sheepishly showed the tune to Perry on his portable Wurlitzer keyboard and Perry immediately wanted to do it. The rest of the band wasn't so sure.
"They were opposed to the ballad," said Perry. "Neal hated the idea and Jon Cain thought maybe John Waite was right."
The third single from Escape not only went on to become the band's highest charting single and sent album sales into orbit, but pioneered the entire concept of the power ballad. "Now everybody's got to have one," said Perry. Neil said it became a joke if Neil doesn't like it, it will be a hit.

When there's an official video made for a song, ALWAYS react to that one. There is always a story that goes with the song that brings the meaning out a little more than just listening to audio or watching a live performance.
