if you don't like to aim at the scorpion with eterra's blessing, why don't you take the "triage" node ? i think it would still be better than serpent strike
Would just like to say thanks. Had trouble trying to get a Beasmaster build that I liked, thought a mix of Gathering Storm, wolves, and ravens would work. It did not. Switched to Scorpion and Swipe, but with a few tweaks. I'm taking advantage of Maelstrom's movespeed and frenzy branch, and combine that with Thorn Totems for more nuking. I'm also going baby scorpions to further exploit the attack speed and poison on-hit, since they're not blocked by your passive limiting you to one companion. Lastly I've got Blessing, but I've never gotten a refresh off of that, I do want to swap that skill out once I find a decent enough spear. One-hander and shield has been necessary for survival through the campaign so far. Not sure if this variation works, but it's been fun so far. Might have to take Leap and Warcry eventually, but we'll see.
@@RoundedTikTak Update: switched out Blessing for Serpent Strike, liking the DPS boost overall now that I have a spammable ability again. Hadn't noticed the little added bonus interaction it has with Maelstrom, fully intend to exploit it. Also took the Summon Snake on kill node, that still works with the passives. So even though I'm taking the single companion passives, I have one giant scorpion, three babies, and occasionally a snake all getting Frenzy buffed from Maelstrom spam, and the Thorn Totem nuke for when I want to keep my distance. I'm about to hit end-game, it's been good aside from a few one-shot situations, but my resistances aren't capped yet, so... swings and roundabouts, to be expected in that regard. Looking forward to the end game version, see if there's any ideas I missed.
Good Video. There is a level 29 Spear that REALLY blows this build up for leveling quickly, sadly I forgot the name but I will add it in a little while when I log back into the game. Thumbs Up for this one. EDIT...................The name of the Spear is a level 29 named Draalsting. This Spear dropped on my Main a 71 Hammer Paladin, I then came to UA-cam and found your video, I just made level 29 this morning, on my Beast Master and I am off to the races and having a blast.
This build is good however i would recommend replacing warcry with the frenzy totem because the totem upgrades has poison stats and also even more area increase for your venom nova it also has things that will buff and heal your scorpion.
@@nickq8093 Could be. This one has Serpent strike while yours use Eterra's Blessing instead. I guess it depends if you want to be more offensive (SS) or defensive (EB). But very similar I admit. Lets see the bright side. He helped to promote a real beginner build (no specific gear needed). There isn't much real beginner builds out there. In any case, these builds are 1.0 and the game had a fair amount of changes since then, and many guides hasen't been updated. A lot of Stier builds at that time are now Atier, if not Btier and some went up.
@@tonyverdechi9157 the best proof is his attunement. He has like 40 for no good reason, it doesn't scale his damage or survivability, the only thing it gives him is some mana efficiency that he doesn't need, his only mana intensive skill is scorp nova which is on a high cooldown. So why does he have 40 attunement? Because the build he stole from needs that attunement for the mana efficiency scaling on eterra's blessing and scorp nova so it can cast them all the time. He even mentions running eterra's blessing in the video. Also it's not a choice between offensive and defensive because the blessing version gives far more damage than his due to being able to spam nova a lot more. He could promote the beginner friendly build while giving credit. He doesn't get any points for stealing more accessible builds.
thank you so much for this video, i was struggling with my build , im not very good in this type of games altho i love them , and this looks cool thanks alot for the effort , i just tried it on 1 monolight 100 corruption and is destroying everything xD, i just bought the spear 1 ring and is not even with same stats holy fuck , imagine if i had 100% crit chance hooly moly
I went from Tempest/Earthquake to this because I was getting destroyed in empowered monos. I'm trying this now but is taking me a bit to get used to since I was doing rapid melee previously. Looks like there is no rapid/spam melee here right? Just Serpent Strike, Scorpion pool and Swipe - all when their cooldowns are up?
Hey i really love this buid and been playing it for 50 lvls now. However since im new to the game and not quiet familiar with the stats. Can you rank the Stats priority for the build? Poison Dmg - Minion dmg - melee dmg - damage over time, and so on? Would be great!
Dmg over time from minions is number 1, then mix and match the rest. (don't quote me on this but) I think everything is additive. So as long as your damage type corresponds to the type your doing you should be fine. However since minions scale differently that's why we focus on that 2
Hello. i was doing a totem poison, so i finally mixed with Scorpio. Replacing Rage jump by spikes totem. it add another layer of poison dot with flexible area to cover at will. Need to level up to try but sounds nice
does damage over time for player or poison chance affect the scorpion? wondering if scaling this build will be difficult if it lacks modifiers that affect scorpion
That would be awesome. I've been really enjoying this in hardcore right now. Just was wondering if i should even both getting player poison chance and DoT as originally stated (since I noticed your snapshot had some equipment with DoT)@@RoundedTikTak
Will this build be updated at any point? With Blessings and level 100 gear? I am currently playing this build on 1 of my characters and enjoy it a lot :)
@roundedtiktak thanks so much for this build! its been really fun. Im wondering what your take is on the spear "Draalsting". im wondering if the poison dam % and chance on hit % is better for DPS than say an exhalt with T6+ attack speed
Thanks for the guide man! Great job! I was wondering if Frenzy Totem could be used with the scorpion? It has several talents that synergize with it and its poison nova...
I play an alternative version with frenzy totem. Frenzy totem specced only for minions give a lot attack speed to gain a lot of poison stacks and, more important, global poison chance that is applied also to venom nova and venom spits. Also with decent cd reduction you can cast every 3.5 sec or less to reset scorpion nova. totem is teleported with scorpion by leap so the effect is always active. I also put 1 point in Pinches and pokes to make the scorpion hit aoe. What do you think? p.s. the venom poison area becomes HUGE with frenzy totem and hits a lot of mobs.
Hello Sir Looking amazing. What leveling way would you recommend? Stick with maxroll beastmaster leveling guide or swap to scorpion as soon as I can? I am new to the game this looks like easy build to start with. Cheers :)
I tried his build briefly before servers went down for update today. I leveled with Maxroll BM Primalist leveling guide. For clarity, I leveled to 35 with wolves using Maxrolls above leveling guide loot filter for BM. And at lvl 35 I just changed some of the affix filters they had set up which didn’t look for attunement, DoT, and poison affixes. Then after farming some starter gear I refunded my passives and went to poison Scorpion build. Only lvl 38 but it was cheese for sure, I had enough passives by Act 7 in campaign at lvl 42 to spec well into this build and I plan on running it into end game, into Monoliths, and when I get half way thru the non-corruption Monoliths and start collecting the monolith bonuses I’ll re-spec into an Earthquake Primalist DOT build from The Curse - shoutout TC. That way I’m collecting the right Monolith bonuses for my true end game build and I can have one final EQ DoT setup to run Monoliths well into the 600-700 Corruption lvl cuz that LowLife EarthQuake build just slaps and feels like invul face tanking with a couple “Life to Ward” items. Also ez to obtain all items for this entire run. Obviously once you start pushing 100+ corruption your items will start becoming Legendaries and whatnot but nothing special required until you get to 200+ corruption
Hello and thanks for the guide! I am confused, but for some reason I cannot use Serpent Strike with one handers (I tested to use one hand swords or axes) and I feel that I am not tanky enough to go for spears. Am I missing something? Or should I not use Serpent Strike if playing without spears? Thanks a lot !!
1 tip to make ur guide better is if you dont show skills at least make note of when to take skills like do i go for all the stuff in druid first is it the last thing u take just to give me an idea but otherwise thanks for an awesome build im about to try out
NORMALLY its should just be minion damage, but as im finishing up the end game version video it seems base poison damage works as well. Why you ask? No idea. Above my pay grade.
Eterras blessing works better with controller because it auto targets pets but in general its a poorly designed skill and it should just be a big aoe heal around the caster so you don't need to constantly track your pets while trying to see past all the pretty spell effects and enemies.
@dTikTak Any ETA on that? You could update the core link - I think you could fill out the progression in 10 minutes or less. I think a lot of viewers would appreciate it. Not asking to bug ya - asking because I want to genuinely try the build.
Just picked up this game... Mostly intersted in falconer and beastmaster right now. Nice to play some pet classes that aren't just necromancer, not that I don't love necromancers lol
Minion damage scales with strength, their abilities scale with attunement though. When you summon your minions and hover over the active skill in your skill bar u can see the tag change into attunement
I was actually looking for this answer - are you sure about this ? so in general it is mandatory that "minion" is there and all other sources of poison and dot are useless ?
Is this patched or am I doing something wrong? I currently have 195% damage over time and 387% poison damage with 155% minion poison damage and 179% minion damage over time and struggled fighting the kraken boss in eye of the storm (level 72). Do I need a lot more minion damage over time for this to work?
So for my first time playing this game I went with this build and everything melts in my path. I’m level 56 and now I Beat lagoon now I’m pretty much bouta grind gear soon and I went with fortune guild to increase my item chance

I've been running a different version of this that imo is much better. If you run Eterra's blessing instead of viper strike you can spam the hell out of venom nova. Bosses and mobs melt like nothing even with shit gear in empowered monoliths. It's more mobile too you just gotta get into the rhythm of using it.
@@Keszamot097 I can send you a link to the build i based mine of. Only thing i'll say is that it's not as straight forward as the viper strike version. For this version you want more attunement and some extra mana regen. Eterra's blessing buffs your scorpion but you have to aim it, it also refreshes the venom nova meaning you have to cast it right after. You essentially want to keep moving while getting as many venom nova's off as possible until you can cast swipe. It's the better version of the build but it's higher apm and there's more stuff to manage. For me that makes it more fun but since both builds work well anyways you should pick what seems the most fun to you. I based mine on this build from last patch. www.lastepochtools.com/planner/ZA8Zz6kB
Yea I know, I talk about it in the video. It's a pain in the ass to manage lol. I've died SO MANY TIMES looking for my scorpion to heal instead of watching the scream and then getting 1 shot
@@RoundedTikTak i guess my reply got removed because of a link despite being harmless but yeah it's a harder build to run. I think it's more fun because there's more stuff to manage but since both builds work so well it's really a matter of preference. It's kind of tricky in the start but you get used to it, there's a rhythm to it that is quite fun to me and it's rewarding to have skill matter since i can absolutely destroy the bosses if i'm quick enough with my presses.
@@RoundedTikTak Another thing to note is that when you get used to the build you stop looking for the scorpion since you sort of understand how it paths intuitively, it's mostly an apm thing at that point.
Dude you should be arrested for making a build this good. at first i thought it was bad or average at best. But once i put that point into PRIMAL RESONANCE. This build became insane. i purposely don't upgrade my gear and go 5-10 levels before putting points in because its so good and i feel like im cheating
The perk. You need drops on 5 items. 1 hand and 2 hand swords and axes And 2 hand spear So anyone of them. When you psuh hard content your gonna want a 1h and a shield anyway.
Ugh started leveling a beastmaster. By L30 I just couldn't take it any more. It's so slow and clunky - the worst I've played. Kind of killed the interest in trying this build out. Note I've played every other class in 1.0 and never had problems leveling...
Since most of us are probably new, It would have been helpful to put put in a leveling tree. Without that, this guide is pretty much useless for beginners.
It looks fun, but with all due respect, you have ca. 1k life, the mapping looks extremely slow and you don´t show any endgame boss fights. That´s not an insane build.
So a softcore build should be discredited for the sole reason that it's softcore? That's a bit aggressive. Not everyone wants to play hardcore, especially new players... which is what he's hinting at in this video.
Not sure why this is hard to understand... but if you play the game on practice mode you shouldn't be trying to guide others on how to play the game since you aren't even confident enough to step into hc yet. @@adavis7292
It looks fun... but its hardly an insane build. Mapping is not great. Boss damage is below average And you really need to spec some out of damage and into defenses.. otherwise your going to splat. However, scorpion is super fun.
It's a starter build my friend. The mapping is literally wild you just walk to the end, and I've killed every mono boss in less than 20 seconds. With absolute trash gear. Plus you need 0 uniques to make it work.
Yh any NEW PLAYERS do NOT build this build is so bad early and the guide is so low effort compared to other video even in the build planer new players cant see what order to spec into skills and passives, its ok DMG the whole idea of this build is cool nothing else also if you do go this build go Eterra's blessing instead of viper strike EB is SO much better... Viper strike is just lazy

if you don't like to aim at the scorpion with eterra's blessing, why don't you take the "triage" node ?
i think it would still be better than serpent strike
I always say go offense till you need the defense. Glad your enjoying it. The end game version of the build is coming soon.
This build is good however i would recommend replacing warcry with the frenzy totem because the totem upgrades has poison stats and also even more area increase for your venom nova it also has things that will buff and heal your scorpion.
any updates to this since it was only a couple days old when you made the video?
no because he threw together the build on the char to push content then ditched it cos he stole the build and doesn't understand it enough.
@@nickq8093 Stoled to who?
@@tonyverdechi9157 it's from a build guide on LE tools. Totemless scorp nova BM by cookbook
So many wolf builds even though there are a lot of pets and people are sleeping on so many builds. GLad to see something different.
thank you so much for this video, i was struggling with my build , im not very good in this type of games altho i love them , and this looks cool thanks alot for the effort , i just tried it on 1 monolight 100 corruption and is destroying everything xD, i just bought the spear 1 ring and is not even with same stats holy fuck , imagine if i had 100% crit chance hooly moly
However since minions scale differently that's why we focus on that 2
i use the spear version and am loving it. mobs just melt with the scorp + serp strike.
When you list the 5 stats we should look for, are those listed in order of importance?
Hey @RoundedTikTak how is this build looking for the new cycle next week?
Can you share a loot filter?
Are there any werebear uniqueless builds? You need more vids on UA-cam so i can stream on my Roku.
Hello. i was doing a totem poison, so i finally mixed with Scorpio.
Poison works. It shouldn't. But it's does. My dots hit for 1.2 million. IRL keeps getting in the way but trying to post the endgame version.
Really looking forward to a scorpion build and this looks decent 👍
I play an alternative version with frenzy totem. Frenzy totem specced only for minions give a lot attack speed to gain a lot of poison stacks and, more important, global poison chance that is applied also to venom nova and venom spits. Also with decent cd reduction you can cast every 3.5 sec or less to reset scorpion nova. totem is teleported with scorpion by leap so the effect is always active. I also put 1 point in Pinches and pokes to make the scorpion hit aoe. What do you think? p.s. the venom poison area becomes HUGE with frenzy totem and hits a lot of mobs.
instead of war cry?
@@TheKeegsters instead of serpent strike.
i just found that frenzy totem can cast eterra's blessing with healing pulse node. Must try it.
Update. It's great.
@@TheKeegsters are you using frenzy and warcry or frenzy and eterra?
Hello Sir
Looking amazing.
Thanks a lot !!
serpent strike requires spears, it says on the skill itself
Great video!
hi m8 iam trying this build u show....there any loot filter for this leveling build. thx in advance
1 tip to make ur guide better is if you dont show skills at least make note of when to take skills like do i go for all the stuff in druid first is it the last thing u take just to give me an idea but otherwise thanks for an awesome build im about to try out
I have a question: does the dmg of poison nova of the scorpion get boosted by minion dmg or the character's poison damage?
NORMALLY its should just be minion damage, but as im finishing up the end game version video it seems base poison damage works as well. Why you ask? No idea. Above my pay grade.
Is this a good build for a mid game Draalsting? I have that weapon to pass off to an alt and want to use it.
Eterras blessing works better with controller because it auto targets pets but in general its a poorly designed skill and it should just be a big aoe heal around the caster so you don't need to constantly track your pets while trying to see past all the pretty spell effects and enemies.
If I don't have a spear, what do you I replace Serpent Strike with, since it requires a spear?
Thanks for the video! Would be great for you to put the progression order in the build link...
It's my first one I'll do better on the updated build
@dTikTak Any ETA on that? You could update the core link - I think you could fill out the progression in 10 minutes or less. I think a lot of viewers would appreciate it. Not asking to bug ya - asking because I want to genuinely try the build.
i used the frenzy totem for instead of sweep it has a tree that strengths poison
Where does the sustain come from in this build tho? What keeps u alive?
ha ha, whar a fun to play build :) "The Scorpion KING"
dont u think is not better to play with blessng of eterra to give the scorpion 100% more dmg ? then that seprents strike ?
Yes its better but it's a pain in the ass. I mention it in the video lol
Just picked up this game... Mostly intersted in falconer and beastmaster right now. Nice to play some pet classes that aren't just necromancer, not that I don't love necromancers lol
Can I still do this as a Shaman in lower levels (around 30-40)?
hi~
I'm growing it well while watching the guide video. Please update the endgame build guide item setting
This is my first time playing this game. Will follow this build seems easier to follow as a first timer. Waiting for link though.
www.lastepochtools.com/planner/OBjr6m1B try this website is still being weird
do you have a filter?
What a great Build!!!😛
why is attunement needed? isnt scorpion get scales by strength?
Minion damage scales with strength, their abilities scale with attunement though. When you summon your minions and hover over the active skill in your skill bar u can see the tag change into attunement
Hello anyone else cant see the poison pool ingame or do i miss something in my build
I mention it in the video. It is bugged and goes UNDER the map you can see it if you use it on the edge of the map. Still works tho.
@@RoundedTikTak cool thanks and thank u so much for the build really fun and easy to play and insanly strong 😱
poison and damage over time does nothing if its not minion poison or minion dot
I was actually looking for this answer - are you sure about this ? so in general it is mandatory that "minion" is there and all other sources of poison and dot are useless ?
How much corruption u push with this build?
Is this patched or am I doing something wrong? I currently have 195% damage over time and 387% poison damage with 155% minion poison damage and 179% minion damage over time and struggled fighting the kraken boss in eye of the storm (level 72). Do I need a lot more minion damage over time for this to work?
Link me your build? Your doing SOMETHING wrong, not sure what. This build should get you through the campaign with ease.
And Corruption?200 or more do you have build link? Great video❤

Man if only this game was on PlayStation so I could play it
how are you making your companion teleport to you
His boots have a perk that makes your minions jump with you on traversal skill usage.
So for my first time playing this game I went with this build and everything melts in my path. I’m level 56 and now I Beat lagoon now I’m pretty much bouta grind gear soon and I went with fortune guild to increase my item chance
this build still going strong?
companion size make the enemy more likely to atack the pet over you.
If the servers are busted and we need to play offline, I will try this build, thank you.

Makes me want to play the game tbh, but i still got a bit of ptsd from how complicated POE stats and builds were
I promise it's not as bad
so one question^^ can we overlap the poisen novas? or do i need to wait until the nova is over
Overlap away enjoy!
Hey, do you maybe have some planner or what to invest differently?
@@RoundedTikTak Another thing to note is that when you get used to the build you stop looking for the scorpion since you sort of understand how it paths intuitively, it's mostly an apm thing at that point.
see you at end game!
Dude you should be arrested for making a build this good. at first i thought it was bad or average at best. But once i put that point into PRIMAL RESONANCE. This build became insane. i purposely don't upgrade my gear and go 5-10 levels before putting points in because its so good and i feel like im cheating
he shouldn't get arrested because he didn't make the build. he stole it from a build guide on LEtools and doesn't actually understand it.
Its stronger build squirrels?
that spear is gonna be hard to get !!!!!!!!!!!
Would there be any way to make a spell-caster (non-swipe, non-melee) version of this build? I love the idea of a Scorpions, but I'm terrible at melee.
You could focus on eterras blessing for the constant reset of poison nova and maybe frenzy totem so your scorpions melee are a bit better?
Hey man ,thanks for the good build . What other weapon you would suggest if not spear ?
The perk. You need drops on 5 items.
1 hand and 2 hand swords and axes
And 2 hand spear
So anyone of them.
When you psuh hard content your gonna want a 1h and a shield anyway.
blessings ?
you are using a good loot filter for this build?
loot filter plss
dude ! this is melting every boss holy shit ahhahaa i wish i had more hp tho xddd
This build is good to clear low lvl monolits - later, sorry this is crap.
where lootfilter?((((

Ugh started leveling a beastmaster. By L30 I just couldn't take it any more. It's so slow and clunky - the worst I've played. Kind of killed the interest in trying this build out. Note I've played every other class in 1.0 and never had problems leveling...
Since most of us are probably new, It would have been helpful to put put in a leveling tree. Without that, this guide is pretty much useless for beginners.
It looks fun, but with all due respect, you have ca. 1k life, the mapping looks extremely slow and you don´t show any endgame boss fights. That´s not an insane build.
I show a lvl 92 soulfirebastion fight at lvl 72 I just blurred it out for spoilers. But the health bar is there.
you play softcore. it's all moot.@@RoundedTikTak
What makes my first video of Last Epoch so low effort? And EB is better but is clunky af to use.
"Warlock is a hard class to survive on" rofl talk about clueless
If I said warlock I apologize, I meant necromancer. Warlock is absolutely busted.
Dont make build guides if you play softcore
