You kept mentioning spirit issues with pulverize, were you running a +4 umbral aspect? With that on or even stacked with a mother's embrace ring your energy is zero issue till the end bosses.
I've got a storm build with the storm's companion [were]wolves, lightning storm, and cataclysm. My storm ability cooldown % is so high, I can keep cataclysm up at all times and can almost spam my wolf leap attack, which is a lot of fun. But I agree the wolves and ravens need a ton of love and I hope companions get more legendary aspects/uniques!
I've been playing Lightning Shred for a bout a week, and I LOVE it. I *still* don't have Tempest Roar, but it's still extremely viable without TR - but it does nearly require that you have the Gibbous to generate the automatic Critical Hits that really power it up. There's obviously a BIG difference in DPS between when you are in DireWolf form or not, but that can be worked around pretty easily and you're still a wrecking ball even in normal wolf form - you just don't want to dive into the biggest packs of elites until your Dire form is ready. Basically, it's a super fun build that doesn't require Tempest Roar for fast clears - that's sayin' something.
It does require it if you're actually attempting to push past mediocre level end game. Spirit management and by extension, single target damage fall off of a cliff without a TR. It is what it is. Bad class design.
Thankyou for this video, covered everything i was looking for when starting to play D4 as a druid. Idk why every build video does'nt give a headsup of all the builds going to be talked about at the start, but the timestamps were enough to skip to where i wanted, ty.
My guy put so many hours into the game and still doesn’t realize claw having the chance to attack twice is not a bug of the crone staff rather it’s literally a part of the claw skill node itself.
Just a note for anyone who plays druid also... Grizzley Rage is only Unstoppable for 6 secs after you cast it. Used to be for the duration of the skill but it's no longer the case.
I recommend you try the shifter/storm strike, pulverize, petrify build. I was rocking the classic earthen might grizzly rage build up until lv 85 and I tried this and I'll never go back. It's better in every possible way, essentially infinite spirit, way higher single target, and 100% vulnerable up time on bosses. Literally deleting bosses in 2 seconds in t55+ NM dungeons. The only known Uber Lilith pulverize druid kill runs a variation of it that you can google if you're curious. There are so many benefits that can be integrated into a build from actually shapeshifting constantly and it feels really good to play, almost like it was what Blizzard intended for the class.
You got any more details on this, or can point be to a guide? This is exactly what I was working on, before the "nerf the fun" patch. I still might give it a go again, if I decide to actually play season 1. I think, like most Druid builds, maybe I was missing a unique to actually make it work. Spirt was one of my biggest problems
I have enjoyed using pulverize while leveling. Werewolf companions can be better than most people give them credit. I got two maxed out aspects for them, turn wolves to werewolf and increase damage 150% and add 1 companion plus 10% damage increase.
Not true, pretty dope when it happens with lightning storm. Just wish I could be allowed to have a tempest roar. Have gotten 3 Vasyley's Prayer's since I've been looking for Roar.
@@HuyNguyen-ev7mp thats why you spec into lucky hit chance. My current lucky hit chance bonus is 34% with earthen might i have about a 49% percent chance for it to proc. Its very consistent for me.
@@vi-vii-xcix496but earthen might has UP TO 5% (10 for crits) chance to proc. Pulv has 25% lucky hit chance. No need for lucky hit chance on gear. People are gearing wrong
Bro! I also have 400 hrs as a Druid and agree almost entirely with your builds. I’m so worried grizzly rage is going to get nerfed and us druids are going to struggle.
I don't know why they don't just leave stuff alone and bring other stuff UP to be even. There's no need to constantly nerf things instead of just making other builds just as good. It's supposed to be about changing the playstyle with builds, not necessarily about what is the strongest build.
You can build pulverize using the shifting passives like resonance along with aspect of natural balance to put your damage through the roof. Insane burst and puts out damage close to straight pulv spam when alternating storm strike/pulverize while never running out of spirit. The only downside is you lose that unstoppable, which can be really problematic with shivering packs and multi-cc packs, so gameplay alternates between roflstomping stuff that doesn't hard cc, and having to pull apart packs that do.
@turnkeyanalytics some of us just enjoyed the shred feel and werewolf aspect.. its about to be totally gone along with my passion to play thanks to a streamer who messed up my chance of finish my version of the build even though it might have hit harder
I don't think grizzly rage will be nerfed. They should make the other builds a little bit more flexible not relying on uniques to be effective. If they nerf grizzly rage, druid would be unplayable. Cause bulwark is not suppose to be a damage dealing skill. With out grizzly rage druid can't tank shit. and if you play nature's fury yes you'll be tanky but you can't kill shit.
I’ve been crushing Lilith & NM 100’s with an Earth/Bear build that I haven’t seen anyone else discover. Here’s the breakdown if anyone wants to try it. The Overview -Infinite Grizzly rage. -Nature’s Fury -TrampleSlide -Grab all Earth Skills on the skill bar. -Max out landslide with Skill points & affixes. Skill Points -Min Upgrade StormStrike, Lightning Storm, & Hurricane(Get anything that procs vulnerability or immobilize) -Get 1 point in Slow from Poison -Get 30X Crit Multiplier on Poisoned Enemies -Grizzly Rage -Nature’s Fury -Max Landslide w/ Terramote Upgrade -Min Upgrade Earth Spike w/ 2x hits vs stun -Min Upgrade Boulder w/ +20% crit chance -Min Upgrade Bulwork for unstoppable (I skip the 2nd upgrade options) -1 Point in Trample ( I just use the free point from my Chest Piece) -SKIP the upgrades that increase the spirit cost of your core skills. -Everything else is relatively straight-forward. (Health Regen, Damage Reduction, More Damage, More Fortify) Uniques: -Bear Helm -Bear Chest -Butcher’s Cleaver (Optional) Offensive Affix Priority: -Max out Crit chance -Max out CDR -Max out Attack Speed -Vulnerability is nice… but it’s actually not 100% necessary. -Crit Damage -Damage vs CC -Lucky Hit -Crowd Control Duration Aspects -Get the Aspect that gives you +4 Mana per CC Application -Get the aspect that extends Grizzly Rage -Get the aspect that causes slow on earth skills. -Get the aspect that casts 2x per landslide. -Trampleslide Affix -Use any defensive affix you want for the pants. -Put the Attack Speed Aspect on Your Necklace Skill Rotation: Essentially… You’re want to use everything in your arsenal to quickly ramp up Grizzly Rage crit damage as soon as you pop it. -Pop Grizzly Rage. -Burn Your Spirit bar with Landslide. -Cast Trample Slide to build it back up. -Burn Your Spirit Bar -Use Boulder to regen your spirit bar. -Burn Your Spirit Bar -Rotate Earth Spike & LandSlide until TrampleSlide is off CD. -When TrampleSlide is back up… rinse & repeat. In low-density mob fights, you might not regen a full bar of spirit off of trampleslide & boulder. Keep the same rotation, but use earth spike to top off your spirit as needed. Note: -Butcher’s Cleaver is extremely powerful for this build because we already prioritize crit chance & CC bonuses. Because butcher’s cleaver causes 2 CC effects per proc, we get an additional 8 spirit & it allows us to spam LandSlide a lot more. It also makes this build stagger bosses faster than any other build in the game. -Non-Upgraded Tornado Procs still hit a lot of enemies vs densely populated enemies. -Lightning Storm Procs always hit 5+ enemies (You don’t need to ramp it up like you do when it’s on your skill bar) -LandSlide is actually an AOE & is great at melee range or for single-target enemies. -Due to your high attack speed & rotation, you should usually have the damage reduction buff from storm-strike even though it’s not on your bar. -Because Boulder & Trample have relatively short CD’s & can proc Hurricane… your average uptime is higher with this build than it would be if Hurricane was actually on your skill bar. -TrampleSlide is extremely powerful & triggers all sorts of free skills with one cast. It’s not uncommon to proc Hurricane, Tornados, Lightning storm, Hit enemies with two waves of landslide, And hit enemies with Trample itself. (Never leave it off CD). -This build also benefits from the ability to face tank as a ranged DPS build. You don’t have to kite enemies, you don’t have to chase down enemies; you just spam spells 100% of the time until everything is dead. -You still have 3 Unstoppable Spells on your skill bar to minimize the recent Grizzly Rage nerf. -This build is super versatile & performs well in just about every scenario. (CC “scales” particularly well in groups & your Grizzly Rage ramps up even better when the trash mobs don’t immediately die from AOE abilities) Paragon: You want to dip into the paragon board that gives your nature skills a chance to poison/Immobilize enemies. -You want to enhance poison duration to max out the time you get for the crit multiplier vs poisoned enemies. -And the rest of the paragon board is relatively obvious. If I missed anything, let me know.
My two cents- been running a pulverize/trample slide build with temerity, vasily all the bis in my opinion at level 85 and she kicks ass and takes names,i love her.... finally got tempest, mad wolf glee, and made a werenado build, and as it completely deletes bosses and is OP... I'm just not a fan,i spent so much time and millions of currency to switch, and switch back, all this excitement for this tempest roar,im back to DIRTY BEAR! my pulverize beast.
Druid basically depends on the Rampaging Werebeast aspect to clear high NM dungeons. One nerf to that aspect and Bulwark both would just drop druid to F tier damage. Although the new aspect that casts landslide in a circle around your poison creeper would make for some fun Nature's Fury builds.
Just bought D4 Friday. Had to wait couldn't let it absorb all my summer time. Now that grandkids are headed back to school I'm done taking them to the beach and hiking. I started with a druid and decided to try lighting spells and pulverize
I'm having an issue with Druid. Every time I look up a build it requires a lot of gear to get it off the ground. I phrase it like this because if I play my Necro I only need one piece of gear to help blast me from 1-60. With Druid it also looks like all the builds specifically build around the gear and not the actual skill tree. The skills on their own feel underwhelming and I get people counter that with gear but it makes things like choosing the correct key passive when I'm building more confusing.
I combined the Landslide build with the stormclaw build. As claw and Stormstrike are 2 attacks in one and the chance to strike double on top with the attack speed upgrade you have almost no downtime with landslide and bulwark. You're cooldowns are almost erased. Works great for me. Love it. Oh and also you can cast bulwark almost every 2 to 3 seconds which deals aoe every time it explodes when you cast it again and it's still up.
@@unbidmuffin yes it's basically the Trampleslide build. But I use the Crone staff with claw. I feel it plays better than with Stormstrike only. It's still based on luck because the cooldowns reduction aspect still has a %chance to proc but at least in my sight it procs a lot more often than Stormstrike only. Oh and with earthen bulwark you should go with Innate earthen bulwark instead of preserving bulwark. That does aoe when it expires so every time the cooldown is set to zero and you cast it again you do this explosion. Also your barrier stacks if you use it often which also increases the damage
@@unbidmuffin I personally don't like the tornado build. It feels strange to play somehow. At least for me. I think I will run the Trampleslide claw build until I finally can get the tempest roar helmet. Then I will give the shred build a try 😉
I just respecced from a pure storm build, which got me to level 50, to a pulverize build. I still can't seem to run anything in tier 3, but I do live a bit longer. LoL, it's amazing that I was able to beat the tier 2 capstone dungeon with my lightning build, I had absolutely no defensive skills. Adding a mangled(?) Aspect helped a bit with the spirit issues pulverize has. It gives you three spirit every time you're hit. A thirty percent chance, anyway. I'm going to try something else, if I can farm some different gear. I do like the aspects that turn my bear skills into earth skills paired with the natures fury(?) passive. It's fun.
I disagree. Being able to do higher tier nightmare dungeons directly correlates with how much better a build is. Also PvP, If your build gets slaughtered regularly, it needs work. Those are 2 big factors for me.
Have you tried trampslide with lightning storm? It fixes spirit gen issues and with natures fury you get bulwork protection and sometimes double lightning storm casts. Works well without unique but once you have tempest roar pop grizzly rage when you need single target.
My leveling build was the No Core Skill/Crone Staff Claw build. Just max out basic attack speed and damage, and done. Easily clear up to NMD 60, which well beyond what is needed to level. The only real downside is it's basically pretty boring. Keep up rage, bulwark, hurricane, and press one button. Edgemaster perfect. A little slow overall. It's not going to wow you with damage. But you'll easily survive, and do anything solo.
I’m still just leveling up, but I can say that the poisonous vine, which additionally activateth a landslide with the help of an aspect that (landslide) is also pumped up, killeth the entire crowd with one button.
My build is as follows : Trample Landslide Creeper Petrify Earthan bulwark I use the following aspects: Landslide hits twice Landslide procs when using creeper and trample Gain a second companion (creeper) Increase attack speed Basic attacks reduce cooldowns by 5 seconds Earthan bulwark lasts an extra 6 seconds And the increase armor aspect. I also am running exploit and I'm using the legendary node that gives you extra damage when surrounded by atleast 3 poisoned enemies I get like 80% bonus damage. I'm only 62 and I do around 200k damage per hit and with barber I get a million here and there. It's so fun
I’ve been playing lightning storm from the beginning… love it. A little weak single target… but doable. Especially after getting the unique ring that refunds resource…. It’s sooooo helpful :)
I started with Lightning Storm build without any good aspect, it can carry me to t3 with some struggling, then I switched to pulverize build, with the right gear pulverize is amazing build. I am currently using bulwark build just because I'm curious, I am able to clear NM dungeon tier 60+ while still lvl 85. I am still grinding Tempest Roar, I hope i can get it before season 1 started.
Great to see such a list! Though I stray as far away from common/ meta builds and mix my own. I went with pure werewolf skills and some poison + ravens for vulnerable at first BUT after getting the paragon up and running, jamming the Exploit ( which makes enemeies get vuln by touch )glyph into the first socket, I ditched the ravens and only went Cyclone armor as the only non-ww skill. It also buff allies and vuln enemies+ sliw them even. I poison rip zip zap between enemies and trash mobs easly, high endurance with barrier aspects, some fortify. I do struggle a bit vs single high health targets... yet. Need more werebear earth builds. And Earth wolf, Storm bear builds would be great to see aswell even if theres afaIk no synergy aspects/ items for that
Very entertaining video. I did a sorceress 1st to around level 80 then decided to change things up. Fell in love with the druid bear. I used a pulverize build and the funny thing is, the shockwave aspect did not drop for me until lvl 70. When I added that to my build, i literally laughed out loud at how bad I DESTROYED up tp Tier 40 dungeons at 80. It's harder to see dmg numbers on the console but when i started suddenly seeing 7 digits.....oooh boy was that fun. I have been saving the wolfnado for the Season but plan on giving it a try at low levels. I also leveled warrior and necro to wt4. Rogue, I did not like the twitchy playstyle. yes, it's amazing dmg especially for leveling but I felt it was too much effort (I'm on console so I am assuming its a controller vs keyboard thing) I believe you said wolfnado is accessible for leveling without relying on specific drops, am I correct? I figure when I do druid, I will use a new build until I hit wt4 then decide to keep it or switch back to Pulverize. Hulk Smash is just so much fun since i normally play ranged casters in these games. Like you, I play my favorite "feel". I also never did the bulwark because cmon, its OBVIOUSLY gonna get patched. Lastly, I like how you don't drone on like some of these dudes and get to the point quickly. I watched a smart dude build video buy he took like 25 minutes jsut to go over the skill tree. It's like, if we watching for min/max we ALREADY KNOW why you picked the damn skill...hehe. To answer your question, i am leaning towards starting Season 1 with a necro bone spear build until we see how the malignants work and what they might offer. (Also because I will have family in town and my time will be erratic and when I do my druid, i wanna be invested all in) Good chance, Ill just switch back to druid after getting a taste of the other side. I won't be doing a sorc again until they fix survivability. (I was messing around at lvl 90 in Helltide and got one shot WITH my ice armor up AND a barrier. How TF does that happen?)
I had my shock wave aspect with 168% damage drop around 60. my second dropped a couple of levels later at 180%. I have that one in the bank and waiting to put it on an ancestral weapon.
Wolfnado is actually the hardest build to gear for. And you may be the first person to say I get to the point quickly lol... I like to talk and show emotions and I get excited when I'm into something which leads to me rambling. (go watch my son's of the forest video lol) Good luck in season 1 and thanks for the great comment
I love the hell out of my Crone Staff/TrampleSlide combo. Fun as hell storming across helltides, outrunning horses with giant spikes covering the entire screen. I can essentially permanently be in Trample.
@KenWilliamson it definitely helps, but for the longest while I had the 20% damage reduction on basic attack legendary (I had one with like +12% basic attack speed). Honestly, for pushing higher NM dungeons, that may be the way to go, I'll have to test more.
Nice video. Shred isn't a good leveling build and doesn't feel good at all until you get massive ressource generation / reduction to get it rolling. Its single target is very lacking, its aoe is super small, the damage multiplier comes mainly in the form of crit strike / crit hit dmg, which you dont have until T4 really. You have excellent mobility but if you cant kill ennemies you're not getting xp. So nope, not good for leveling.
You should See my shred druid, at lvl74 I managed to clear NMD with lvl90 mobs without dying. Ultra fast kill speed. But yes not good for bosses, but it works
Great vid… I like the personal touch and the fairness behind all the wording use. I am a Pulverize addict for now, but got so much aspects and unique to play a Shred build that I will restart season 1 with a new Druid character :) Thanks for the great advises
@@monsieurpatate5034 I leveled as human lightning and when I got my tempest roar, I kept with the theme. I love the range we have and clearing those 50+ nightmares goes so quickly when helping lower levels through. I do admit that I struggle at the 70+ nightmare levels but in a team environment, I manage through.
i started as a companion druid cuz i read it was super easy and safe. played it til level 50 and the higher i got in levels, the worse it became. by the end of campaign, like he says, could barely even clear open world mobs, i would die to pretty much every boss at least once. since then ive switched to pulverize as it seemed fairly easy to get the aspects needed, and its so much better. will have to try other builds as i get the necessary items for them
18:49 only build I ran so far (Casual player) and built it almost exactly as listed, before ever watching videos. super fun build!! Tornados just seemed so random vs lightning storm, even though everyone suggested Tornados.
Creeper landslide with the double up and hearts is ridiculous right now legit the best build 1-80 no problem also the new creeper landslide synergy fixes the single target as well like complete slaughter. Really cool PC btw
I did a 3x wherewolves with rabies and other specific aspects and gear level bonuses... i was so sad my wolves and my madwolf crone claw build was inferior. I loved the fantasy of that.
Been chilling with the trampleslide build for a long time now. It is NOT the fastest clear build at all but the survivabilty is just stupid high so i can just chill through any content and any size packs comfortably without ever needing to worry about life or hp at all. It needs the crone staff and will be even better with tempest roar but i only have the staff and it is super chill to just enjoy.
I love the Tramplslide build. No uniques, no permanent bear, more like a spellcaster. Got me to 55 sigils. Tornado is boring but it's just powerful and easy, without using a bug.
@@steveozone4910 not aiming or kiting correctly. I try not to hit any enemies. Laying down 2 overlapping fields of landslide. Use the actual landslide as a single target clean up. It's a more active playstyle than grizzly rage, tornado 1 button. I play solo self found and was lvl 100, in 10 days. If I didn't care about trying to beat lilith there was 0 reason to switch. Trampleslide, built and used correctly, does more damage than my tornado build. Tornado just gets grizzly rage and that extra DR for enemies over lvl 115 or so
@@icquintos I uninstalled the game and reinstalled Path of Exile. I bought the digital deluxe edition and I still can't be bothered. I logged in after ran some NM dungeons and said no thanks.
I leveled my Druid from the beginning with Pulverize and didn't find any issues during that. I'm not a rookie of course, but I don't think it's hard at all. Anyway, such a good video!
I also tried to play shred with greatstaff of crone that droped to me some days ago, i dont know if its wise but i might try the axe you mention, great video btw :)
I feel like i got super lucky with my druid, I got all of the stuff you need within a few hours into world tier 4. I got tempest roar at 68, tornado seeking at 69, and both maxed aspect for grizzly rage and the direwolf aspect at 69 or 70.
As a pulverised earth bear main from 1 to max . I ca honestly say you can almost fix the spirit issue entirely with one aspect on the ring . You also only need to clear a dungeon to get the aspect. Hardest thing I found was trying to get shockwave aspect to drop . I've had 2 drop even with 3 days of solid obal farming . My rng was sooo bad
I'm L71 right now and have the unique helm but not crones or tempest roar items. Been doing a pulverize build but have lots of aspects and gear set aside to do a lightning or hurricane build. For example I have the aspect that spins up 3 seeking tornadoes. Anyway, I seem really spirit starved and don't want to spend the time or money swapping over to a different build if it's going to be a bad move without tempest roar. So... should I go lightning or hurricane, and what would I do to make it viable at L71 without tempest roar? Good video thanks.
The only druid that can easily push T90 without much skills is the bugged Bulwark Druid. If you are lazy and wants to press only 2 buttons, not worry about spirit etc. That's the build for you and definitely for me.
I call it afk build. The only thing that kills me is when things blowup because I can't get out of aoe fast enough. Every time I die it says "me killed by me". Definitely a lazy build unless pushing high content which gotta focus on moving out of explosions.
@@icekangz817 Yes you are right, killed by explosions. hahaha. And also not forgetting the "Sniper" Arrow... shoots from farm and 1 shot, mostly killed without fortified.
there's 100 videos about best druid build and they are all different..just pick the skills that are the most fun. Having said that, in my experience (as a crappy player I might add), ravens > wolves for offense, and creeper is very effective and Earthen.. (the one with the rocks surrounding you) made my character stronger. Also wererbear > werewolf
Your build guides fir lighting storm there is one slot missing from your boons , does that mean you can put it anywhere ,and thank you for the guides massive help
Hey man, great vid. Question, i read that all items in stash carry over to S1. So if my Tempest roar is in stash do i keep it for seasonal character or do we all gotta farm it again?
Not all items in stash. There will be one specific tab you will use to transfer gear over. Yes you should be able to bring your tempest roar back to eternal realm
I wish there was an item that let druid recover spirit over time. I love the class, but its so annoying that you end up mana starved all the time. There was a similar problem in Diablo 2, but at least there you had items that offered mana regen per hit or per kill. With D4 you just have to accept you'll spend 60% of the fight grinding back your mana.
Bulwark at C tier? its probbly the strongest build in the entire game because it scales with enemy HP on top of already absurd damage. not to mention you get the huge barrier and immue to CC every seconds! If any nerfs comming, bulwark build will be the first one getting hit.
Currently Level 75 with Pulverize... Will wait to see what todays Season Patch brings before I decide what to play in the season. Those two tier S builds are likely if they don't get nerfed.
Pulverize druid will always be my go to whenever I decide I will assume the Incredible hulk in bear form and slam the competition into oblivion. I do want to try other druid builds and see how it fairs out. I might do that come season 1. As far as Pulverize as a leveling build, I will have to disagree. You you can get all your aspects as youre levelin as the only aspect you cant get is the shockwave aspect which is a random drop. as long as youre mauling your targets you wont run out of spirit. I still have 0 issues and im at lv 70. Vasily's you can get before 60 and it help alot. The chest piece that makes you a permanent werebear I also got before 60. The 3rd and final piece you can go for but is an option is Temetry (leg unique). at the very minimum Vasily's helm is your mandatory piece to aim for. The other two are optional but great for speed clears. But I started as a pulverize druid from level one and found no issues with it.
For the claw build. Use natures fury and earth spike. Also use the aspect that makes Earth Spike travel in a line. You can then buff and attack with 3 basic skills at the same time. This also gives a somewhat single target build some aoe potential. You can use Grizzly rage to make the damage ramp quickly because you hit with so many crits. I had a lot of fun playing it.
I'd recommend gambling for totems. They only roll offensive aspects and they are inexpensive. I've been able to get shockwave aspect no problem doing that.
I deleted my alt druid after 90 levels, only a few more levels to go until season, and still no Tempest Roar. Of the builds I tried (Trampleslide, Crohn Claw, Bulwark), I agree 100% with your ratings!
Shrednado! Best of both worlds! Might not be able to push as far in nightmare dungeons than pure nado but you get the speed of shred while still having the tankiness and resource gen of nado.
I played alotta druid builds... pulverrize feels the best for me. Currently can do NM70s. Btw.. tornado build LACKS alot. Hard to get spirit going when mob density is spread out. Also.. u can EASILY get one shotted by ranged mobs. It feels clunky
Yes sure feels clunky sometimes because of lack of density but the first druid NM100 was cleared by a nado build which actually can be tanky if you set up your paragon properly aka the sanctum defensive build
Shred > Werenado. Nado is so resource starved it is silly unless you are level 95+ and have perfect Dire wolf Aspects. Even at 30%+ Lucky hit and Crit i still don't get the proc often enough to keep resource topped up so i find myself autoing mobs. ALSO if your CDR isn't high enough nado is essentially useless as it REQUIRES Grizzly Rage in order to do decent damage and actually fire off more than three tornados. Shred on the other hand claps cheeks and never runs out of Resource and h as so much life steal you can face tank any boss pretty easily AND doesn't require Tempest Roar (Requires waxing gibbus though which is equally as hard to find I've discovered)
Hopefully they buff the other ultimate skills. Most druid builds rebolve around Grizzly rage, and that starts to get boring. I always thought it was dumb that a wearwolf would be casting spells. So maybe the spirit cost reduction aspect can work in human form instead. Lightning storm is also my fave build rught now. Except the bug that makes you immobile for a few seconds after channelling.
Tornado build shouldn’t be nerfed, the Nados are bugged, they sometimes don’t follow mobs, they disappear on walls, corpse walls cannot be target by it, sucks for duo high T dungeons since mob keeps chasing the ally , even with high luck hit chance it rely on a lot of rng to get going, it really depends on good bta gear to be effective at T90+
What an amazing video, exactly what I was looking for, thank you for doing this. Big Thumbs up. I have a question for anyone who may have an answer. Does unique drops have anything to do with your spec? I have had five Vasily's Prayer drop and still at 94 i have no tempest roar to do the build i wanted. I've stayed pulverize and pulverize/slide because of this. I was thinking they dropped because of my pulverize spec. I was dumb enough to think I came up with pulverize=trample/slide but once i looked around everyone had the same idea lol. Also, I can agree and understand why they would nerf/fix the Bullwark build but would they really nerf tornado druids before nerfing the crap out of Rouge's? That would be really sad IMO.
I'm new to the game and have been playing as a stormwolf throughout my time and I just feel weak compared to everything else... I don't know what build to use anymore, maybe I should respec to shred or something?
Great video, pretty accurate. I am a bit confuse tho... about the Diablo 4 experience. As a old hardcore gamer and now casual lol, got my Best in slot in one month. If item is not the end game, are we suppose to create build ? For the vast of majority of the casual players, learn by heart the parangon board, do the maths etc... is not just possible. So get a op build confirmed from the web and apply it in game. How long this thing will be fun ? Am i alone or... ?
Here is my take... Even though the game has been in development for years and years, content has been cut to extend into seasons. I know for a fact during play tests there were almost double the amount of uniques, now they are just not in game. I think about season 3 or 4 it's going to get a monster size update that's akin to Reaper of Souls or Forsaken from destiny.
It is just mad how many of the druid builds rely on Tempest Roar to be good to play. That should be a takent/paragon/spirit boon that makes builds, not some very rare unique. I have 2-5 pieces of the other uniques without a single TR already. I am almost done playing this game before getting the one item that is supposed to enable other playstyles.
Barber is so shit. Like. It's good, but man is it annoying. Not seeing numbers, not knowing if you crit. Lucky hit... Really wish they impmentes it better.
Do you have a link to the Shred leveling build? You mentioned some act 1 aspects to farm from dungeons - which ones are important to that Shred leveling build?
Even bulwark damage is bugged. The capability of clearing everything without breaking a sweat deserves a S tier. I have played both tornado and bulwark. I don’t even bother going back to tornado build now.
So after watching this video I have to say I am extremely with the build I have made for my druid. I built it myself and it is nothing like anything of these builds. Currently I'm level 96 with 15k attack power. If any anyone has questions about my build feel free to ask me.
I feel like that's a design flaw, the whole game is based around CORE SKILLS which is dumb. If I want to be a hurricane/cataclysm druid. Let me buff those skills somehow that's actually relevant.
I have tried bulwark/trampleslide hybrid, not using crone. I don’t think there was a difference in bulwark burst. My hybrid build did not use crone, previous bulwark build did use crone. I switched to the hybrid build to aid in aoe clear for easy tier 50-60 runs. Bulwark burst hits about 3 times harder in nightmare dungeons. Maybe more. That means it still is great if you consider what it hits for in open world. Also fun in pvp, as long as you don’t run into a HOTA barb.

You kept mentioning spirit issues with pulverize, were you running a +4 umbral aspect? With that on or even stacked with a mother's embrace ring your energy is zero issue till the end bosses.
What about now? I just started playing the game
Bad class design.
not the biggest damage dealer but the mobility is on a level of it's own...
Thankyou for this video, covered everything i was looking for when starting to play D4 as a druid.
Idk why every build video does'nt give a headsup of all the builds going to be talked about at the start, but the timestamps were enough to skip to where i wanted, ty.
First content creator to call Bulwark a bug. If it gets nerfed I'm blaming you!
I am by far not the first. There was a post about it on reddit today even.
My guy put so many hours into the game and still doesn’t realize claw having the chance to attack twice is not a bug of the crone staff rather it’s literally a part of the claw skill node itself.
Yes... I'm aware of this. The bug is it double Proccing earthen bukwark...
@@RoundedTikTakcomes from a item or a inpronted item, or one of the spirit boobs maybe
@@RoundedTikTakhow is it a bug if it’s double proccing? Each hit is a separate storm skill
Got a link to this build?
You got any more details on this, or can point be to a guide?
This is exactly what I was working on, before the "nerf the fun" patch. I still might give it a go again, if I decide to actually play season 1. I think, like most Druid builds, maybe I was missing a unique to actually make it work. Spirt was one of my biggest problems
I feel like if you take hardcore into consideration, Pulverize build may move up a spot or two.
I'm convinced Tempest Roar is a myth
I have enjoyed using pulverize while leveling. Werewolf companions can be better than most people give them credit. I got two maxed out aspects for them, turn wolves to werewolf and increase damage 150% and add 1 companion plus 10% damage increase.
There is something addicting with getting earthen might to activate with paulverize. No other build in the game scratches that itch.
man you knowi it, iust hits just right
it feels inconsistent for me ngl, the build deals no dmg when it dont proc and i hate that such a good build rely on a single passive
So freaking true!!! Like it's that or we are squishy and not doing damage enough not to die
The Overview
-Infinite Grizzly rage.
-Nature’s Fury
-TrampleSlide
-Grab all Earth Skills on the skill bar.
-Max out landslide with Skill points & affixes.
Skill Points
-Min Upgrade StormStrike, Lightning Storm, & Hurricane(Get anything that procs vulnerability or immobilize)
-Get 1 point in Slow from Poison
-Get 30X Crit Multiplier on Poisoned Enemies
-Grizzly Rage
-Nature’s Fury
-Max Landslide w/ Terramote Upgrade
-Min Upgrade Earth Spike w/ 2x hits vs stun
-Min Upgrade Boulder w/ +20% crit chance
-Min Upgrade Bulwork for unstoppable (I skip the 2nd upgrade options)
-1 Point in Trample ( I just use the free point from my Chest Piece)
-SKIP the upgrades that increase the spirit cost of your core skills.
-Everything else is relatively straight-forward. (Health Regen, Damage Reduction, More Damage, More Fortify)
Uniques:
-Bear Helm
-Bear Chest
-Butcher’s Cleaver (Optional)
Offensive Affix Priority:
-Max out Crit chance
-Max out CDR
-Max out Attack Speed
-Vulnerability is nice… but it’s actually not 100% necessary.
-Crit Damage
-Damage vs CC
-Lucky Hit
-Crowd Control Duration
Aspects
-Get the Aspect that gives you +4 Mana per CC Application
-Get the aspect that extends Grizzly Rage
-Get the aspect that causes slow on earth skills.
-Get the aspect that casts 2x per landslide.
-Trampleslide Affix
-Use any defensive affix you want for the pants.
-Put the Attack Speed Aspect on Your Necklace
Skill Rotation:
Essentially… You’re want to use everything in your arsenal to quickly ramp up Grizzly Rage crit damage as soon as you pop it.
-Pop Grizzly Rage.
-Burn Your Spirit bar with Landslide.
-Cast Trample Slide to build it back up.
-Burn Your Spirit Bar
-Use Boulder to regen your spirit bar.
-Burn Your Spirit Bar
-Rotate Earth Spike & LandSlide until TrampleSlide is off CD.
-When TrampleSlide is back up… rinse & repeat.
In low-density mob fights, you might not regen a full bar of spirit off of trampleslide & boulder. Keep the same rotation, but use earth spike to top off your spirit as needed.
Note:
-Butcher’s Cleaver is extremely powerful for this build because we already prioritize crit chance & CC bonuses.
-Lightning Storm Procs always hit 5+ enemies (You don’t need to ramp it up like you do when it’s on your skill bar)
-LandSlide is actually an AOE & is great at melee range or for single-target enemies.
(CC “scales” particularly well in groups & your Grizzly Rage ramps up even better when the trash mobs don’t immediately die from AOE abilities)
Paragon:
You want to dip into the paragon board that gives your nature skills a chance to poison/Immobilize enemies.
-You want to enhance poison duration to max out the time you get for the crit multiplier vs poisoned enemies.
-And the rest of the paragon board is relatively obvious.
If I missed anything, let me know.

Hi, which one of these builds is best for pvp ?
Oooo. Lemme see the requirements.
I've been using a mostly earth/tornado build with wolves to be my distracts so i can attack from the distance.
That's basically a variation of the bugged Croneslide build he mentioned.
Tried the tornado werewolf, didn't like it. Switched to Pulverize bear, best choice i've ever made. This build hits like a truck !
What ive learned from here is you should never mistake the Forrest for the Trees
Most of the time i skip the in video adds to the rest of the video and then my jaw dropped and was like i need those potions lol
My build is as follows :
Trample
Landslide
Creeper
Petrify
Earthan bulwark
I use the following aspects:
Landslide hits twice
Landslide procs when using creeper and trample
Gain a second companion (creeper)
Increase attack speed
Basic attacks reduce cooldowns by 5 seconds
Earthan bulwark lasts an extra 6 seconds
And the increase armor aspect.
Rogue, I did not like the twitchy playstyle. yes, it's amazing dmg especially for leveling but I felt it was too much effort (I'm on console so I am assuming its a controller vs keyboard thing)
I believe you said wolfnado is accessible for leveling without relying on specific drops, am I correct?
(go watch my son's of the forest video lol)
Good luck in season 1 and thanks for the great comment
I love the hell out of my Crone Staff/TrampleSlide combo. Fun as hell storming across helltides, outrunning horses with giant spikes covering the entire screen. I can essentially permanently be in Trample.
Are you using Tempest Roar? Or just the staff?
I use all storm skills only, still looking for uneques to complete the build and its only 78 atm but the funnest character I've played with for sure
Great vid… I like the personal touch and the fairness behind all the wording use. I am a Pulverize addict for now, but got so much aspects and unique to play a Shred build that I will restart season 1 with a new Druid character :)
Thanks for the great advises
I feel like most of them are viable with the right gear
I've been using lightning druid
i tried them all and my favorite is also lighting
@@monsieurpatate5034 I leveled as human lightning and when I got my tempest roar, I kept with the theme. I love the range we have and clearing those 50+ nightmares goes so quickly when helping lower levels through. I do admit that I struggle at the 70+ nightmare levels but in a team environment, I manage through.
Thank you man for all the trouble resuming everything.
I'd like to try your wolfnado build, do you have it in d4 build?
i started as a companion druid cuz i read it was super easy and safe. played it til level 50 and the higher i got in levels, the worse it became.
by the end of campaign, like he says, could barely even clear open world mobs, i would die to pretty much every boss at least once.
since then ive switched to pulverize as it seemed fairly easy to get the aspects needed, and its so much better.
will have to try other builds as i get the necessary items for them
18:49 only build I ran so far (Casual player) and built it almost exactly as listed, before ever watching videos. super fun build!!
Imma try rabies when it gets bugged.
I agree with trampleslide! I don't know why few youtube videos about it. it's an unlimited spam of trampleslide and it's so much fun to use.
Unless you play in groups with a Druid playing it. All they do is knock enemies around the screen 😂
Tornado just gets grizzly rage and that extra DR for enemies over lvl 115 or so
@@OldGoat-cw8he There's a new aspect that boosts the trampleslide build. Creeper also casts Landslide!!!
I play the natures fury slide Druid. You covered it perfectly. Spot on.
My rng was sooo bad
im at 98 and Ive only found 1 umbral ring so far with a +2 to spirit
I'm L71 right now and have the unique helm but not crones or tempest roar items. Been doing a pulverize build but have lots of aspects and gear set aside to do a lightning or hurricane build. For example I have the aspect that spins up 3 seeking tornadoes. Anyway, I seem really spirit starved and don't want to spend the time or money swapping over to a different build if it's going to be a bad move without tempest roar. So... should I go lightning or hurricane, and what would I do to make it viable at L71 without tempest roar? Good video thanks.
I don't know what to call my build. But skills I have are: Lacerate - Poison Creeper - Ravens - Hurricane - Wind Shear - Lightning Storm.
Whats the green aura around your toon? Ive noticed that a few times watching your content, and it definitely helps with toon visibility
You can highlight your character, its in the setting>gameplay>scroll down, there is highlight option
I play stormclaw at level ~70 and it really melts, love it
Is there a video guide on your Lightning storm leveling build? Only saw you have a video for it but its a lvl 100 guide
Your build guides fir lighting storm there is one slot missing from your boons , does that mean you can put it anywhere ,and thank you for the guides massive help
Does the Stormclaw's Aspect bugfix kill the shred build? Or will it still be a strong contender in season one with that change in mind?
I'll take the landslide poison build in season 1 over all the rest
I do a shred bulwark build. Because no TR after 100 hours and lvl 90...
Exactly why it's in c tier.
I think its funny how bulwark is the strongest and ya see people play it on their content but its more like a social faux pas
Hey Tiktak, I'm new to the channel but do you have any earth bending/storm builds? I have a decent build, I'll comment what it is later when I'm home.
I wanted to build a storm wolf but all the gear wants me to build a bear
But I started as a pulverize druid from level one and found no issues with it.
me stick with Pulz Bear from the beginning haha Still rock with it after 100
Just got my Tempest Roar. Tornado is shockingly op. But, Pulverslide carried me for till I got my TR at lvl 79.
I don't get it. How can you use earth spike in werewolf form?
is it better then he pulverize build? already tried the normal version never thought about doing that with the earth spike
The only problem with pulverize is the shockwave aspect is super rare. In 100 hours of druid, ive found 1 at level 48.
I'd recommend gambling for totems. They only roll offensive aspects and they are inexpensive. I've been able to get shockwave aspect no problem doing that.
@@brandonpogue7922 irrelevant now that it comes with tier 2 season rewards
I deleted my alt druid after 90 levels, only a few more levels to go until season, and still no Tempest Roar. Of the builds I tried (Trampleslide, Crohn Claw, Bulwark), I agree 100% with your ratings!
You really have Bulwark that low? I've 62 Bulwark and it seems strong and like its only getting better
Of all the ones you ranked, which is the best build for leveling?
Says he's played all the builds then admits he's never played earthen bulwark at the end RIP
Thanks, that's EXACTLY the info I needed to get started on this new druid, just for fun, obviously :P
Werebear has me in love with druid, so imma pulverslide until the wheels fall off
sry but i have to ask what does your druid / wolf form makes you spectral glowing is that somthing you could buy from the shop?
I think about season 3 or 4 it's going to get a monster size update that's akin to Reaper of Souls or Forsaken from destiny.
in the tornado footage, what buff is making your druid blue?
It is just mad how many of the druid builds rely on Tempest Roar to be good to play. That should be a takent/paragon/spirit boon that makes builds, not some very rare unique. I have 2-5 pieces of the other uniques without a single TR already. I am almost done playing this game before getting the one item that is supposed to enable other playstyles.
BARBER AND landslide trample aspect have changed everything for those who may be watching this its not as cut and dry now.
Poison shred build on my channel about a month old
@@RoundedTikTakappreciate the reply!
Have your tried companions on the new PTR?
So you gonna link the shred build?
What about a "thorns" build, i've got 2 of those unique max rollend chestpieces but hacen't seen any druid builds around it
Even bulwark damage is bugged.
I tried all builds the most fun build is wearbear build without comparing
Good luck man!
It's crazy how much build diversity Druid has but most of the builds come down to spam 1 ability
I feel like that's a design flaw, the whole game is based around CORE SKILLS which is dumb. If I want to be a hurricane/cataclysm druid. Let me buff those skills somehow that's actually relevant.
Poison shred with Waxing gibbous has become my favorite
I love the lightning and turnado druid (btw have fun cleaning this pc)
I have tried bulwark/trampleslide hybrid, not using crone. I don’t think there was a difference in bulwark burst. My hybrid build did not use crone, previous bulwark build did use crone. I switched to the hybrid build to aid in aoe clear for easy tier 50-60 runs. Bulwark burst hits about 3 times harder in nightmare dungeons. Maybe more. That means it still is great if you consider what it hits for in open world. Also fun in pvp, as long as you don’t run into a HOTA barb.
HOTS barb in pvp is so damn dumb
Realy good guide, would also like to see your pvp opinion cuz there is content to unlock aswell
