Yeah I would say where I live 2 eggs is 13g and a bagel is 8g. Doesn’t quite add up to 30

I never put a Number on it, but I always thought eggs had more protein. Until I started tracking me protein intake. Same with tofu. Has much less than always assumed and talked about. I get my majority of protein from chicken and fish. The easiest way other than supplements.

the cortisol one is so funny to me personally because I'm in fertility treatment right now, and people have been telling me to "lower my cortisol"... only for my bloodwork today to show that my blood cortisol was actually below the normal amount. Gonna pretend that it's just cause I'm sooooo chill and relaxed.
My uncle always has visible abs and he never worked out. He was a crackhead running around our trailer park all hours of the day and night. Dude was ripped tho. Not healthy, but ripped.

The carnivore diet people are absolutely wild. I once posted online about how someone got scurvy by doing it since you don't get enough Vitamin C and made a ton of people mad. Someone even called me a scuttlebutt 😂.

They described the pitting in her bones, and the symptoms of vitamin A poisoning including weakness, and there were still carnivores idiots coming out of the woodwork saying "she must have been an absolute beast, though!"

The brain runs on carbs, which explains a lot.
The diet tribes are the worst. Nobody wants to accept than some people physically cant eat a certain way. They just say "oh it worked for me so that means its the optimal diet for every human" meanwhile its the only time theyve every planned their own meals or did a diet of any kind ..

I got a comment from an older family friend recently about the size of my dumbbells. She saw my set of 15s and 20s and commented "what do you gave those for?" I responded that i use the 20s for lower body only right now because i haven't graduated to using them for chest and back quite yet. Her immediate response was "you know you dont need to do all that to get toned" she annoyed me so much

Must be because I haven't been doing a bunch of bodyweight Pilates 🤔
The lifting luggage overhead is a big one. I started doing strict/military presses at the gym and it has been the most functional training I've done. I was able to get my luggage and help an older man get his luggage last time I was on a plane.

having just finished a 24-week Denali training program where I spent over 10 hours a week on the Stair master, I can confirm it does not give you a snatched waist and there is no way anyone will do that for more than a week

the digestive massage that the one girl was doing is what my mom used to do to me as a child when i'd get "backed up" after having candy that my body didn't agree with but it never gave me visible abs. it's good advice if you can't go number 2 but not if you're looking for ways to get visible abs

For me, adding around-the-world and KB swings as warm-up exercises before pull-days helps me ensure that my core is properly engaged in heavy deadlifts to prevent injuries. Also, I really burst out laughing with the "go fxxx yourself" at the end 😂

If I had to put money on it I would say the reason the kardashians seem to have trainers like this is because when your experience with exercise is that it should suck and should be almost a punishment you want workouts like that. I’m sure their trainers have said, hey you don’t need to do all this, but then they don’t “feel” like they’re working out hard enough. It could also be of course that they only put out workouts like this but they don’t do anything near this challenging every time they workout

Anyway, always enjoy watching these. I know it's probably not your demographic, but I would be interested in seeing a video that looks at the question of 'what really IS the best way for menopausal women to work out?' The channel I follow right now is all about moderate and how working out TOO hard keeps us from losing weight, but I'm so used to hearing 'PUSH HARDER! No pain no gain! Give it your maximum effort!' All I really want to do is keep moving and know that I'm giving myself the best shot at being able to be active into my 90's. Like, go for a walk type of active, not run marathons.

The Kardashian workout? (I didn’t notice who it was at first because I was transfixed by those weird push ups that involve assaulting a Bosu). That workout is definitely getting filed under “Random Crazy Sh*t”.
The Tracey Anderson workout was the standard nonsense and I think the lady involved might need to rethink her use of camera angles (it came very close to a full on colonoscopy).
As for the last one? I’m not great at picking up cues but am I right in thinking that guy will not be the next guest on Fitdown Chat? Just a hunch 😉

I’m on East Coast hours for my job and I don’t get to eat first thing when I wake up cuz I’m busy. But I’m always soooo hungry by 8-8:30 when I finally have the chance to sit down and eat. I don’t get people who choose to skip breakfast.

Man, that last guy. Condescendingly does exercises incorrectly, and then mocks people who actually enjoy kettlebell workouts. (Plus, I think for some exercises, they're just a bit more comfortable to hold than dumbbells.)

A bagel with 2 eggs isn't 30 grams as far as I calculated. 2 eggs are about 12 grams protein and a bagel isn't 18 grams. Overall calories in vs expended is the key.

I asked my doctor to check my hormone levels specifically bc I was very stressed and have family history of pituitary tumor…. Girl only ordered thyroid, follicle stimulating and luteinizing hormone…. AND I’m getting sued for the 500$ that cost because they sent me to collections even though I told them I’m low income and disabled waiting for benefits. Love the American healthcare system. Not.

The Tracy Anderson one jumped out for me because ....isn't she basically doing the exact same exercise three times with minor variations? Like...was that supposed to be the workout? Some weird transverse plane wild thing for an hour straight? Not only not functional but also not varied at all!

I literally checked how far I was into this (13 minutes!), as I wasn’t sure how it could get worse… it did. 🤣 Also, “eat salty foods”, I have to watch how many I eat or I feel so sluggish and get fluid retention!
I just discovered you videos in the gym today while doing my cardio 😂 but what you said about Ladder.. could you maybe explain it a bit further? Last October I started with Ladder, after not working out for years. Started with one coach but after a couple of months didn’t notice any changing and didn’t enjoy her workout any more. Joined a different coach which I really enjoyed and started to feel stronger. She combines Pilates and strength training throughout the week. Thing is. Since a couple months I actually joined our local gym. Really enjoy it and I am strength training there so I was in doubt whether to keep Ladder. So your comment made me realise that a lot of the coaches (not al tho, there are some good ones on there 😅) from Ladder promote that promises for a “snatched physique”. It did give me some valuable lessens, example; motivating myself to push hard, but I think it’s time for me to go 😂 So I would love to hear you point of view!
Ladder uses very predatory marketing techniques that I don't agree with ethically at all. Even if there are coaches on there with fantastic programming, I refuse to support their business since they're simply spreading misinformation to make money. I'm not sure if that's what you were looking for, but that's my take!
Take that, Ryan Reed! 😂 What a douche-allegedly! Regarding lower weights, I started out doing high rep, low weight (5 pounds), and it did seem to increase my strength. I could lift heavy items at Costco. But it was moving fast with lots of reps, I guess that is the difference? I’ve since worked my way up to 12 pounds, and planning on 15 next. Loved the video!
