  • Jeff and Sarah and her son Aiden visited Yosemite National Park in April and document the tremendous force of water pouring over the sheer granite walls. Come with us to see some natural beauty and learn a little bit more about the historic buildings of this gorgeous national park!

Many years ago when I was young, a small group of us climbed the Yosemite Falls trail under the light of a full moon. Stayed up there to watch the sunrise.

One of the most beautiful places on earth. How can one say they ever lived if they haven't experience the majestic Yosemite? God, just seeing this gives me goosebumps. I can still smell the pines after so many years since when I went. We are so small and our time is so short and this place grounds you back to reality.

What a beautiful place to visit, I should get up there before I move down south. The grandeur of the granite cliffs is awe inspiring. I climbed up the cable side of Half Dome in 1991 with my high school church buddies, although we had long graduated high school 18 years prior. We tossed a football around at the top which was the size of 5 football fields! Thank you for your research & tour Jeff & Sarah!

I drove over the Sonora pass three weeks ago; the amount of snow was amazing.
PS, if you have never been, the Mountains southeast of Lee Vining have a lot of rich history. The White and Inyo Mountains hide historic towns like Brenton Hot Springs. And, the area is beautiful.
A drive all the way to Beatty, Nevada could give you a lot of good videos.

My one & only trip to Yosemite was with the Luther League group in the winter of '64. We had cabins, but were snowed in & had limited time outdoors. The roads were clear enough for us to get out but by then, we were mostly confined to the cabins. Sigh. Some trip!---It's nice to travel along with you folks, in order to see what I've missed!

Jeff and Sarah thank you so much for a wonderful video today. Yosemite National Park is really a beautiful area. Jeff I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman that was from Cleveland Ohio who actually owned the rights to make Indian motorcycle bikes in the early 1950s, he and his family used to come up to the Henry Ford Museum and we would sit and have lunch outside in Greenfield Village. He died about 1998 and I lost contact with his family after that. Anyway have a great day thank you so much for sharing.

When I was a youngster, Memorial Day Weekend (4 days) was the "Boys Fishing Weekend". Dad would hitch up our little camp trailer and off to the mountains. We seemed to rotate between Mammoth Twin Lakes, Sequoia National Park, or Yosemite. At the risk of dating myself, last time I visited Yosemite, each evening, at dusk, we would find a spot with a good view of Glacier Point, and await that booming call: "LET... THE... FIRE.. FALL!"
    Again, thanx for the memories!

Nice to see Le Conte mentioned. I taught campfire music there for 3 years and we always drop in when we are there. All of Yosemite has been fought for for over 100 years. John Muir fought to save Hetch Hetchie Valley from the SF water barrons but he lost and they built the dam and the water is piped to San Francisco. I've been going to Yosemite since I was 6 and I'm 83 now. I've backpacked all over the high country. It is a second home to us. Kudos to the Yosemite Conservancy for all the good work they do. P.S. Wawona hosts wonderful evenings in the hotel with Tom Bopp, a ranger/piano bar guy. He is one of a kind. He knows all kinds of songs & if asked he'l pull out a slide show of history of Wawona and or/ Curry.

My dad worked for the government during WWII culling dead trees in Yosemite and knew Ansell Adams. I think because of my dad's great love of photography, I developed my own of the craft. Im 64 so of course Im refering to film and print photos and all that went with it. We used to stay every summer at Tuolumne Meadows at a camp ground run by the Sierra Club (when they were a camping organization). We used to find obsidian arrow heads all over the place. I miss those days... and my dad.

If you like Yosemite National Park, you would probably also like Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, IL near St. Louis.
Pere Marquette is a national park caliber state park. It has 8,000 acres of gorgeous wooded hills adjacent to the Illinois River.
It also has a beautiful, rustic, national park caliber lodge and cabins that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) that opened in 1940.
The nearby stretch of Illinois Route 100, The Great River Road, between Alton, IL and Grafton is one of the most scenic drives in all of America and does not look anything like one would expect of Illinois.
This stretch of the Great River Road is immediately adjacent to the Mississippi River to the West and towering limestone bluffs to the East.
As a friendly heads up, please be forewarned that most other stretches of the Great River Road are nowhere near as scenic as this particular stretch.

Just such a beautiful place! I've enjoyed all the videos you've done on the park. The buildings that have been constructed are just amazing. Thank you for sharing and taking us on the adventure.

My husband and I visited this park in 1975 and again in 1987. Loved both visits.
    Wonderful video and great music.

Think you are the first utuber i follow that has filmed in a natural park since permits are required.

I always wanted to go to this beautiful place and enjoy nature as it should be seen, but I was not privileged to, now as an adult one of my dreams but I'm disabled and can't go. Looks wonderful and I'm glad you had a good time ☺️
