I have been on TRT for the last 6 months, and while I have gained a significant amount of muscle with my 5 day a week training split, I haven’t seen any fat loss. This has made my body composition better of course, as lean mass percentage has been gained, therefore body fat percentage would be lower. However I have not lost any inches off my waist/love handles where I needed to. I did think they TRT would help melt some fat over the 6 months. Actually being on TRT and having my hormones boarderlining on super physiological levels constantly, increased my ghrelin hormone massively, and I am constantly hungry. It has made sticking to a calorie deficit harder than ever before and binge eating has been an issue, which is not a problem I had before TRT. But the science is clear, calories in calories out, if I am not losing body fat, I am obviously consuming too much, Even for my new bigger size.
I’m in the same boat as you are I’m 6’3 250 and I’ve been trying to figure out correct dosage my doc gave me an AI but I’m hesitant to take it but dieting down has been such a struggle as I’m always hungry…. Have you had any success since you posted this comment
@@gabrielholts5515 I have been on TRT for about 2 months now and I am 6'2" down from 315 to 297. Whenever I am struggling with the hunger, I usually take in some sort of fiber (specifically Metamucil). It helps keep me full longer and helps with the gut health. I am hoping to catch up to you guys keep up the great work!
Can you be on semaglutide and TRT simultaneously? I am significantly overweight and have tried all diets in the book and once even lost 50kg, but I gained it all back (and then some) because I desire good foods and especially sweet too much. I would like to start semaglutide treatment to lower appetite when not needed and TRT so I could actually get some results at the gym. I'm tired of being tired.
Trt on week 4. My sleep has been horrible. Sleep before it it was great. Specially while fasting. Sleep now has been really bad. Another issue is random chest tightness. Never dealt with this but apparently it’s normal. Decided to hop off. I was on 100 a week
Hi guys, I am within EU and I saw on your site that you have EU clinics. The issue is that my country does not allow carrying medicines between countries (for example for me to go to UK for medicines), but good thing is that EU prescription is valid within EU. In case I qualify for TRT do you offer prescriptions so I can order medicines within a country or will I have to travel to those clinics every time I need prescriptions/meds personally?
I am obese and I have very very low testosterone. I was thinking on going to weightloss surgery. I have high insulin resistance. I tried also testosterone but did not help with weight loss
Sometimes testosterone can increase appetite and make it difficult to stay in a calorie deficit. Overtime trt and lifestyle changes can help but sometimes other options can be considered. Weight loss surgery, such as gastric bypass or laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, can lead to significant weight loss and improvement in related conditions such as insulin resistance and testosterone levels. However, it's important to consider that weight loss surgery is a major procedure with potential risks and side effects, and should only be considered after attempting other weight loss methods, such as dietary changes and increased physical activity, have failed.
The great problem is: obese man with low shbg and insuline resistance can't fat loss on trt. It's my problem, i gain fat on trt, even in hypocaloric diet and workouts 6x/week. Do you think associate TRT with keto diet a good choice?
Some men may retain water initially with some injectable testosterone treatments. Some men experience an increase in appetite. Everyone is different on how they respond. Did you gain muscle or maintain muscle ? It’s hard to suggest what exactly is happening here. For many men there is a positive improvement in lean muscle but others it may be less noticeable if they retain water weight.
@@balancemyhormones I was 23% bf and 35 years old when the doctor started TRT. I gained much more fat than muscle, even in a caloric deficit it became impossible to lose subcutaneous fat. We tried several protocols: splitting doses, decreasing the dose to 100mg/week, anastrozole, exemestane, oxandrolone, nandrolone... In those 7 years without getting good results, I even looked for a coach and he gave me stano, that's when I gained more muscle. It's been 1 month since I watched a Brazilian doctor saying that patients with Mosh Syndrome tend to respond poorly to TRT, due to the low shbg and increased insulin resistance caused by steroids, which tends to increase peripheral aromatization. So I stopped the TRT and started low doses of clomid EOD + Carnivore Diet, I managed to lose 6kg and I am much less anxious.
Yes, there is a link between obesity and elevated cortisol levels. Cortisol is a stress hormone that can increase appetite and promote fat storage, especially in the abdominal area. Obesity can also contribute to chronic stress, which in turn can raise cortisol levels, creating a vicious cycle. However, the exact relationship between obesity and cortisol is complex and not fully understood, and other factors such as diet, sleep, and genetics can also play a role.
The question to ask is once you have low T do you want low testosterone for life ? TRT has improved quality of life so why would you stop? Of course all the symptoms you originally had will most likely return when you stop TRT.
This channel doesn't get the viewing numbers it deserves. Informative as always 👌👏
Thanks for your comment. We really appreciate it.
Not watched yet, but hope the advice is yes. Started 3weeks back 🤞

I'm sorry to hear about your sleep troubles and chest tightness. It's important to listen to your body and make the best decision for your health.

I have also high cortisol numbers too, maybe because I am obese..
It really depends on how high and the time of day measured.

Once on TRT, does it have to be used for the rest of your life?
