    You should never replace computerized electrical components without first disconnecting the battery. That and the unit is grounded by the mounting bolts (which were not installed upon start-up) so that too could potentially damage the unit. Other than that, God bless you, Charles!

    I had a "no crank, no start" condition on my 2003 Town and Country - 216,000 miles - babied it's entire life. I had two "hiccups" in the month preceding the ECM/PCM totally failing where I had very brief "no crank, no start" moments but they were so split second, I second guessed if I was actuating the keyed cylinder completely. Once I was "into" the condition fully, I started to troubleshoot fuses, relays, starter, battery, ignition switch and surmised that the ECM was the culprit. I ordered a replacement from All Computer Resources in Homestead, Florida (couldn't recommend them more strongly - they were awesome) and it fixed me up. Back on the road, van running as good as ever.

    Awesome job Charles. Hello Denoy the problem to the A/C blower only working on high might be a defective HVAC blower motor resister. They usually default to work on high only when they go bad. If you have a friend that has A/C gauges he might help you if you need freon or tell you if it is completely empty of freon. God bless you Danoy keep on vaning

    Pick up a 3M headlight lens cleaning kit for $10 on Amazon so you can see at night...will make those yellowed lenses new again. Also, a new blower motor control/resistor will allow all fans speeds. Cheap and ez to replace, about $8 Rock Auto. God bless.

    I don't know why Chrysler did this but the check engine light in 2002 was on the stupid piece of plastic on top of the dash. In 2003 they moved the check engine light to the gauge cluster and then they replaced the oil pressure light and check engine light that was on the piece of plastic on top of the dash with warning lights for diesel vehicles a glow plug warning light and a water in fuel light and I'm guessing they moved the oil pressure light to the gauge cluster too

    If you didn't change your injector harness... You'll be replacing that pcm soon. The injector harness is that causes 99% of the issues with the pcm in these vans

    • @alainlangdon
      @alainlangdon Рік тому

      What is the link between the injector harness and the PCM ? My injector in the center front of the motor don't work. I mesure 13 volts on one of the wire of the connector and 0.3 volt on the other wire. So, I suspect it is the PCM/EMC that fail to apply the ground to the injector. Can I change the ECM for a 2007 version instead of 2005? And if I change the ECM, will I be able to start the car or does it have to be reproprammed at the concessionary first? And what is the link with the injector harness?

      @@LivingInAVan I finally figured it out. On the front of the actual fuse box (they call it IPM - Integrated Power Module) there is another module called the FCM - Front Control Module. It is attached to the front of the fuse box with 4 torx screws so you need a special screwdriver. By the way you have to remove the battery first so you can pull the fuse box out, which is done by inserting a flat screwdriver on the side of the fuse box and twisting, the fuse box then tilts, and there are light grey clips under there to release the other side under the fuse box. Anyway once you have the fuse box tilted up, you can remove the 4 torx screws and remove the FCM. There are a bunch of pins connecting the FCM to the fuse box. Some are round and the bottom ones are flat. The flat pins need to be twisted slightly and cleaned, so they make better contact when you plug the FCM back in and put the 4 torx screws back. Then re-attach the fuse box, put the battery back in, and it's fixed. Basically just a bad connection with those flat connector pins. Hope this helps someone in the future!
