Great seeing a dad and his son reacting to videos together. It's a great way of teaching respect of all music to the son. Even if it's not something you would normally listen to, you can still find great musicianship in every genre. The drum battle is epic to see live. Seen it twice and hope to see many more. Godsmack is my favorite band because Sully is an incredible musician. Shannon and the other guys are awesome also💖
Thank you Indeed. We have always encouraged him to explore music and to not judge before giving it a shot. Turns out he has a very wide taste as I do. Being we both have musical backgrounds, we do tend to appreciate more of the Musician vs just a song. Great problem to have. It has also led us to make friends around the world. He has been on stage with a Grammy award winning Country Band from the 90's, Competed in the Bluegrass world with Guitar, and Rocked out to Iron Maiden Live. Those who are confined to a box, only know the box. Hope you have a great day my friend
Awesome I was able to see this performed 3 times then I meet my wife who is a huge Godsmack fan and we were able to see them 3 more times if you get a chance please see them live they don't disappoint
I don't know why they call this a " drum battle", it's not. They compliment each other so well, it's not a drum battle, it's a perfectly executed drum duo!!!
@@PositiveCrunch great video by the way and yeah they usually do it i wanna say i have seen them 4 times and they have done it 3 of those and they are really good live as far as the rest goes as well, haqve you guys heard much of their music
@@PositiveCrunch best part is..I got to share this with my then 24 yr old daughter!..We have become concert buddies!..She and I both share love the same kind of music!! I taught her how to work the floor to get up real close!! Shes the best concert date I have ever had!!!
When I was in my early 20's I saw Godsmack and was too young/ drunk to appreciate what is going on with this drum battle. I sobered up and saw them again years later. I could listen to a whole show with just this. Sully is an absolute beast. I've been a fan of Shannon Larkin since his Wrathchild America days.
Great intro guys.👍🏻👍🏻Gotta give your script writer a raise🤣🤣🤣That definitely epic, awesome and mind blowing. All of the above😆😆😆😆 Funny you should mention it, but I spent a few years working in the Congo. Did hear it, quite a few times, in our local bar😃😃
It's not really a drum battle, but more of a performance the likes few have ever witnessed. Whatever your opinion is on Godsmack the band, there's simply no denying the fact that that performance was extraordinary. Even Neil Peart would've said at the ending of that performance....."Damn, that was really good." I've seen this video no less than a hundred times and it has never gotten old. I've seen quite a few reactions to this video, and it's funny that there has only been like one person to notice that it was Seth Rogan in the crowd at 3:52. I somehow picked him out the very first time I watched the video. Also few notice at 9:40 how Sully catches his stick behind his head. Which was pretty damn awesome.
Sully may be the lead singer, but he started out as a drummer, he even did the drum parts on their first album before they hired Tony the original drummer before Shannon
Shamefully, I have to admit ignorance about these two gentlemen. Both seem very solid with their own style, and are still able to mesh their styles together. Diana Bastet should have been there! This idea has kept me hoping: Both Jukka and Kai on the stage, backing up Nightwish at the same time. Wouldn't that be AMAZE BALLZ!?!?
