Love Godsmack. Their drum duels are awesome live. Sully Erna is badass. He learned the drums at just 3.5 years old. He’s highly talented. Lead singer, guitar, piano and drums
I bet the first time they rehearsed this they knew it was gonna blow the crowd away. Seen this live and it was amazing. You could feel the beats in your body.
I know this was put out 2 years ago, but I can't thank you enough for doing this video with NO INTERRUPTIONS!! ZERO!! NINGUNO!! NONE!! NULL!! That is so damn refreshing for a change. I can't begin to tell you how annoying it can be when they pause a video 10 or 15 times, often for minutes at a time. It totally ruins the momentum and the tempo. Thank you, thank you and thank you so much. 😃
When I saw Godsmack back in 2002, The band took a break, but not Sully. He literally played every instrument that was set up on stage for like an hour. It was unbelievable to watch how talented Sully is. And I met him in 2019 in Manchester NH. He’s a cool dude, and very short 😉
I actually was privileged to see this Drum Battle Masterpiece live in person at a Metallica and Godsmack concert around 2003 or so in Oklahoma City and it's even more impressive to witness in person!!! My favorite Metal Band of all time
Had to watch this again tonight! LOOOVE the performance! I come from a drummer family - my Dad is a drummer, his sister (my aunt), my brother & my son. I should have been a drummer because I do have the skill, but just don't do anything about it, except when I'm alone! 🤔 Yes, I was/am dumb! Seen this performance various times live at Godsmack concerts & although I am almost 55, I still gear towards drumming videos. Thank you for giving Godsmack some love!! ❤ P.S. you have a beautiful smile!! 😁
Hey, I’m a drummer, too! I don’t play much anymore, but I got a set at age 9 and played with big brother. I saw Godsmack and saw this drum battle live. IT WAS AWESOME! Sully is the lead singer, too.
Sully Erna is THE NICEST GUY EVER. I’ve played poker with him a few times and he is just an absolute joy to talk to. Tiny man. Huge presence. He actually cashed the World Series of Poker Main Event twice in 2 years which is crazy hard.
Thank u. Thank u thank u!!! I watched other reactions and they had themselves bigger than the drummers and u couldn't see the drummers good. But u made u small so people could see the drummers. Like ur video and didn't the others. Have a good day
Yeah....guy is extremely talented musician. A drummer by trade but plays guitar and is lead singer for the band. By the way, also plays piano.....again crazy talented!
@@bradr8129 Shannon Larkin is the most genuine person I've ever met (despite my hard crush on Sully)😂 he took the time to sit and talk with me while I searched for my marker so he could sign my bongos. Great guy, great band and the revolving drum kits in person was amazing. 🤗🥁🪘
Don't forget the Harmonica! And yes he actually picks up guitar in the live version of their song Bulletproof... I've seen this band live and in person upwards of 20 times. They are my favorite Sully can play any instrument that you put in front of him.. Shannon Larkin, Tony Rumbola and of course Robbie Merrill... All these guys are class acts... And damn sure are in my Mount Rushmore of rock bands
This is the first time I've listen to this group. I remember in the late 90's people wearing Godsmack t-shirts with a woman who reminded me of Cindy Lauper. I always wondered about the group. I also remember at that time people wearing Tori Amos t-shirts with her and a baby pig.
This is so unique and so flawless… play drums in my young years and I know what you mean by feelings … I was out of any words when I saw this first time 👍👍👍👍wish I could go back to my young years to be at stage again …
I believe that's from the concert footage "Changes", which has so many great performances, you should check out a few, their music is hard rock with a edgy modern vibe, I love almost every song from that dvd ... great reaction as always
Shannon Larkin is consistently one of the most entertaining drummers to watch play. He’s phenomenal! Check out Godsmack’s instrumental track entitled The Oracle. I LOVE that song.
That's what happens when you start playing at age 3 while other kids are building blocks and coloring with crayons. Sully has truly been a musician his whole life and he is prolific at it. 🤘🏼
I've watched this drum duel exactly 4 million times in the last two days.
Love Godsmack. Their drum duels are awesome live. Sully Erna is badass. He learned the drums at just 3.5 years old. He’s highly talented. Lead singer, guitar, piano and drums

I have watched the drum battle probably 50 times, & i still get chills. LOVE them!! Both are very talented. Keep on rocking guys!🤘🎸😘
Same, love it
I've seen them do this LIVE 4 times... TRULY PERFECTION every time!! ❤️

I SMILED THE WHOLE VIDEO // I BOUGHT THIS LIVE VERSION AFTER I SAW IT !!!!!

I got to see the boys do this in 04 when they leveled Kansas City`s Memorial Hall!
got to see a version of this battle live. was super amazing. watching their drumsticks fly in the air still gets me. and those bongos tho!
Hey, I’m a drummer, too! I don’t play much anymore, but I got a set at age 9 and played with big brother. I saw Godsmack and saw this drum battle live. IT WAS AWESOME! Sully is the lead singer, too.
I agree that is the best drum duo solo I've ever been privileged to watch. Gobsmacked by Godsmack!
Sully Erna is THE NICEST GUY EVER.

I saw this for myself here in the UK last. Truly amazing. 💙

Sully ( the bongo player) isn’t even the bands drummer. He’s the lead singer. I believe he’s pretty good with the strings, too!
Yeah....guy is extremely talented musician. A drummer by trade but plays guitar and is lead singer for the band. By the way, also plays piano.....again crazy talented!

Automatic like. That was awesome, man. Been a huge Godsmack fan since I was a kiddo.
Awestruck. I didn't know their singer was a multi-instrumental beast.
I saw these guys do this at one of their shows... it's so cool!!

This was awesome in concert

Favorite Godsmack song “Under Your Scars” live. React to Shinedown “Cut the Cord”, Sound of Maddness”🔥
Great reaction! 😜👍🔥
Thats something...wow
Sully started out as a drummer,he actually played drums on the first Godsmack album
Sully is multi-talented. He can play guitar also. I believe he plays harmonica as well
This is incredible.
Talented band
Dude you were grinning the entire time. Like the reaction. Check out Renegades of Funk by Rage Against The Machine
Shannon is my favorite of all time.
I think their song Vampires runs 2 sets through the song. I may be wrong, I've only heard the audio version.
A Simple Request you might Like : Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (Live at Madison Square Garden) Video!
You may like dream theater instrumedly, live at the buddokan! It's ridiculous!
Seemed like a brief Neal Peart tribute, at that restart.
if this was in Montreal at the bell centre I was there lol
Shannon Larkin is consistently one of the most entertaining drummers to watch play. He’s phenomenal!
Check out Godsmack’s instrumental track entitled The Oracle. I LOVE that song.
Shannon Larkin is absolutely one of the best rock drummers ever... you could sully as well, but he's technically a singer/ guitarist lol
i like how you didn't talk during the song.
Larkin beats those drums like a Mayweather girlfriend
Stress, and Keep Away are some other good songs 🤘
Bonham too
Listen to me on this.
You must treat yourself to
Alex Rudinger....xenochrist play through.
You will be blown away. TRUST ME
Sully is better than shanon
