Laser rifles with split beams like either the standard one with beam splitter or tri-beam can crit for each beam as well and do absurd amounts of damage. I prefer the beam splitter on regular rifle though because it only uses 1 mfc per shot, has 24 shots/reload, extremely low shot spread, super high zoom without a scope, so great fov while aiming, and only requires 25 in energy weapons to use while tri-beam requires 75. Additionally there is an infinite cap glitch with the casinos where if you get something like 33k chips, then drop those, when you try to pick them up again it'll return a negative value, and you can infinitely return the chips to the cashier for 33k caps payout each time, letting you buy out all the implants and weapons/armor you could want at lvl 1 if you know how to get to Vegas early.
9:10 you can be 'neutrally against" them and still get the key and be liked by everyone gotta silently kill ncr guys and collect their dogtags just farm them in their bases and cycle every 2 or 1 weeks

11:00 Actually, Joshua Graham's armor also gives a crit rate bonus. It gives +3% rather than +5%, but it also gives more DT and it's an easier DLC to clear.
Fun fact, the Dead Money perks are bugged so that they don't get removed when you 'Travel Onward' from good springs and re-spec. This means you can level up within good springs using a nonsense build for skill checks, and take Light Touch as a free perk. I managed to hit level 4 even without the Chet glitch to add Old World Gourmet for the addiction resistance. Basically lets you take two extra perks down the line for more min-maxing. This also applies to the 'Skilled' trait, so you can take it once at Doc Mitchell, again when Travelling Onward, and then change it out when you get to the Big MT Auto-Doc for a more build-relevant perk. This lets you hit 100 of every skill relatively easily, especially if you collect skill books diligently, letting you save a few SPECIAL points by going with just 5-7 INT and not even taking Educated. I'm currently running a build to max both CRIT, Vats accuracy and Action Points using this trick and it makes it possible to get basically every even tangentially relevant perk, including Comprehension and Voracious Reader for infinite +10% chance Police Stories magazines.
The saved SPECIAL points let you take 5 STR, 5 PER, 5 END, 1 CHA, 6 INT, 9 AGI, 9 LCK. 5 END affords you 5 implants, plus completing Lonesome road gives you another free SPECIAL point, and Reinforced Spine gives you +2 STR. This gives you an effective endgame SPECIAL spread of: 5 + 1 + 2 = 8 STR, letting you wield almost any weapon. and you can use power armor to wield STR 9 and 10 weapons. 6 PER to afford the Better Criticals perk. 6 END to take the Atomic! perk which gives much better AP Regen when you have rad sickness. 7 INT to afford Voracious Reader. 10 AGI for max AP. 10 LCK for max Crit chance. Super sweaty optimisation.
@@thomaskilroy3199 luck can be a point lower, because lucky shades exist. And you will probably get more mileage out of higher END and GRX implant it unlocks, than 10 AGI, that at most opens up a melee perk and a slightly faster sneaking perk. Reload speed is nice, but it only matters for heavy weapons/shotguns/.357 magnum build, and all of them either are not synergistic with crit, or don’t have enough damage in the endgame. STR can also be lower, as you only really need enough of it to hold your gun without sway (that’s not even true, bc steady exists) and cast vast majority of STR requirements on crit weapons are way below 6. Reinforced spine and power armor by themselves will give you enough to hold majority of the guns, and if you factor in drugs you can get away with str as low as 2.
@@max7971 I approached optimization from the perspective of using minimal consumable-based buffs, and minimal equipment-based buffs. The idea being it would give maximum freedom if most of the build's strength was inherent in the stats. Especially good for doing the DLCs where you can transfer limited inventory, most of all Dead Money. Hence why I didn't factor in Lucky Shades or Drug buffs for STR. GRX I opted against simply because I figured all fighting would be done in VATs so AP mattered more than normal speed.
Don’t know if you are aware but you don’t have to buy that gun. You can steal it from the room behind the dude who sells it. It’s just on a shelf in there. You can also kill manny in Novac for his first recon beret (with silenced weapon or one shot stealth) during the quest to find out info on the great khans. It has +perception and +3 crit chance I believe. It’s my favourite hat. It has unlimited durability once repaired to full. 👍🏻
2:39 That Gun doesn't particularly have a greater crit rate than Lucky. Both have a 2.5x multiplier, meaning they're equal in that regard. Additionally, an often-overlooked gun for critical builds is Paciencia, its critical hits inflict about the same damage as Anti-Materiel Rifle crits (110 DAM on top of normal damage), and with a 2x crit multiplier, you can get a base ~80% crit chance, meaning using hollow point ammunition (+75% DAM, 3x target DT) is better than any other ammunition type in just about any situation, since crits always ignore DT. It is an exceptionally powerful weapon, allowing you to one-shot mother and alpha deathclaws. I have a very short video demonstrating this on my channel, if you care to look. Another great weapon for a crit build is Pew Pew, with its extreme damage already being good, it also has a 2.5x crit chance, allowing for 100%+ crit chance, though it has a 'reduced' crit damage of +0.75x DAM instead of the usual +1x. Nevertheless, running max charge energy cells on it (1.5x DAM) results in some pretty insane damage, only pretty costly on the ammo front.
@@sleepygamermax6782 Oh jeez I didn't mean for it to come out as harsh or anything! Just as a more informative thing since I am just running a CRIT build on NV and had a bunch of fresh info in mind! The meltdown perk also bases the chain reaction damage on the initial hit so maxing the damage on Pew Pew means every Crit is a devastating AoE explosion. One of the most visually OP guns in the game.
Isn’t there an alien gun from wild wasteland encounter that has 100% crit rate? Edit: I just checked and yes, it’s called Alien Blaster. It has x100 crit% multiplier, which means it will crit even with 1 luck and 0 perks. However, it uses special ammo, that drops from the Alien Captain (you also get the gun from him), who doesn’t respawn, which means it’s a limited use weapon (unless you use commands to spawn more ammo). Also, I’m not sure if you can repair this gun
Fun fact, the laser rifle is bugged so fully modding it increases the damage output over 50 per shot, which is higher than the unique in vault 22, you don't need the scope that's just preference and the tri bram has nutty damage anyway
@@sleepygamermax6782 The key is if you max out to level 50 and take just lucky I'm alive, better criticals. Casinos aren’t as good as you think. I prefer to steal combat armor from boomers, max out its item health, and then go to the crimson caravan and speak to their vendor. Then I trade it in for the lowest CND combat armor they have and for some reason it’s profitable and the game lets me keep my max CND combat armor. It’s overpowered and lets you max out on ammo for any weapon category.
There are shitton of ways to make money in Vegas. people are laser focused on Chet exploit and casinos for some reason, but if they spent 5 minutes to learn caravan they could earn 3k+ caps daily just from that. Just -Put a greenscreen on video layer 2 -Put what you want behind the greenscreen on layer 1 -Find whatever chroma key tool you have and apply it to the greenscreen -Then adjust line thickness and feathering And that's green screening in a nutshell. Hope this helps.
Casinos make you way more than 30k caps. Win at poker until you're just below the max win limit, then save scum at the roulette table putting max bets on 0 or 00. Sometimes it takes awhile, but usually it's only a few loads before you get a win. That's an additional 7500 caps per casino. Per. Casino. Don't leave almost 40k sitting on the table, pun intended.
I’ve been told you can make way more than 30K(It was just a quick estimate I threw in there) but it becomes harder to meaningfully spend the caps at that point. I finished the game with 15K.
It’s doable. Especially if you use paciencia which has a x2 crit rate. 100% crit rate is possible but not necessarily viable. Was a fun research project nonetheless.

the AMR, the only tool purpose crafted for producing limbless torsos at a rate of however quickly you can afford ammo for it
7:02 We have all watched that video with the deathclaw at least a dozen times, also there was an extreme lack of paciencia in this crit build
Yeah I realize I didn’t use the paciencia that much. I just like the Anti-Mat Rifle too much.
Ran a similar build with laser weapons a while back. So fun.
9:10 you can be 'neutrally against" them and still get the key and be liked by everyone
gotta silently kill ncr guys and collect their dogtags
just farm them in their bases and cycle every 2 or 1 weeks
I tried stealth killing and always got lowered reputation. But it may be possible if you bait legion hit squads in NCR territory (pre killing Benny). Maybe.
11:00 Actually, Joshua Graham's armor also gives a crit rate bonus. It gives +3% rather than +5%, but it also gives more DT and it's an easier DLC to clear.
True. I’d wear it if I wasn’t min maxing crit (incorrectly sadly)
Just use a stealth boy in silver rush loot the whole place, and sell. No need to individually take each item to the back room
1:40 that’s some impressive ai to dodge like that
Phenomenal editing, you've earned a new fan! 🪭
Oh sweet I love fans 🪭🪭
A'ight
Gonna build this in my FALLOUT NEW VEGAS ENHANCED EDITION
This gives you an effective endgame SPECIAL spread of:
5 + 1 + 2 = 8 STR, letting you wield almost any weapon. and you can use power armor to wield STR 9 and 10 weapons.
@@thomaskilroy3199 You’re doing min-maxers proud. I can tell you put a lot of planning into this cause it’s almost a 100% build.
*cries in using the wrong weapons for a crit build*
I'm so sorry, I am definitely out of the league here lol. Thanks for the information tho!
@@sleepygamermax6782 Oh jeez I didn't mean for it to come out as harsh or anything! Just as a more informative thing since I am just running a CRIT build on NV and had a bunch of fresh info in mind! Your vid is still plenty fun, I just wanted to give some good suggestions to other commenters and you!
@@joelfilho2625 You good spread your information. It’s really on me doing bad research and putting it in the final video.
The meltdown perk also bases the chain reaction damage on the initial hit so maxing the damage on Pew Pew means every Crit is a devastating AoE explosion.
One of the most visually OP guns in the game.
11:28 not even the 4gb patch on PC?!? You might as well be playing it on a PS3, I think your pc is limited to a whole 2gbs of vram without it.
Yes. Yes there is. I forgot it.
The rawest killcam ever edits had me laughing everytime
Fun fact, the laser rifle is bugged so fully modding it increases the damage output over 50 per shot, which is higher than the unique in vault 22, you don't need the scope that's just preference and the tri bram has nutty damage anyway
The more people comment about the bugs in this game the more I realize playing this game normally isn’t a crutch.
Elite recon armor also gives +5 crit chance. And looks better
Unfortunately doesn’t stack with Light Touch (don’t think I mentioned that in the vid) but is probably better overall.
@@sleepygamermax6782 Ahhhhh! I see! Dangit
Instead using Ulysses duster for the plus 5 crit chance use the elite riot gear that does that and has more DT
Guaranteed crits are fair and balanced
Compliance Enforcer be poppin' off with this build.
ok the FFX hymm of the faith destroyed me
A man of culture. Very hard isn't so hard anymore, and you really unlock some weapons power with 100% crit
It’s really the early game armor enemies. Just wish out of the 3 guns with 100% crit more than one was endgame viable.
@@sleepygamermax6782 The key is if you max out to level 50 and take just lucky I'm alive, better criticals.
Actually, my build usually run at 55% crit chance to 70% but in practice I was always criting. Dropping level 50 lonesome road deathclaws in under 2 seconds.
The survivalist rifle, mf hyperbreeder, and paciencia are the best critical weapons in my experience. The unique bb gun has cheap ammo, lightweight in hardcore, and gets deadly with a crit build
@@LegateLynxusing a BB gun unironically is the ultimate Chad Courier move (doesn't it also get a bonus from Cowboy because it's technically a lever action?)
like for the awesome video, and for heartbeat, heartbreak
DEAD MEAT REFERENCED! BUSINESS!
12:55 you may believe everyone is protected in the eyes of god, but in this long frozen moment, you are the one staring at him.
Fun fact, can't get critical with explosive damage.
Honestly explosion weapons don’t need crits. Some of them are stupid powerful as is.
Top tier editing 😂
heartbeat heartbreak is so peak holyyy
I tend to prefer the modded laser rifle over the unique, but the AER14 is definitely a better VATS weapon. Cool video.
Apparently there’s an exploit where the base laser rifles can do more damage than the AER14.
But I really just wanted to make that Vault 22 joke.
@@sleepygamermax6782 if you’re on pc with mods, it’s likely fixed in your version. In the vanilla game the beam splitter is bugged and gives you two extra beams instead of only just one. It’s absolutely ridiculous, but only outside of VATS. I have to figure the fixed version is still good, but significantly less so.
2:05 and on:
This song is from Super Smash Bros Melee.
But I haven't been able to discover its name for over A DECADE.

J-sawyer mod playthrough when?
Also just finished the video, great job!
9:45 I fucking hate that vault also.
Add all the loot that is placed in the game by default (combat armor, brotherhood patrol armor, lonesome road being accessible from lvl 1) and you’ll be swimming in caps. And what would you even spend them on, outside of implants and odd bough weapon?
@@max7971Implants really. If you start with 8 Luck you can raise it up to 9 by buying the Naughty Nightwear from Mick & Ralphs, get enough money to buy the Luck Implant and then use 10 Luck to just win free money at the casinos without even having to savescum.
The vault 22 made me lose it i am in it right now and have been running around in it for 20 min now. I beat the game many times, but this damn vault is a mess
Just use a riot shotgun with as much crit as possible
7:00 - Caesar's Space program
Sucks late game and then you got lil devil with its 2x crit multiplier😭
Can't wait for you to do a 100% crit experience on Fallout: The Frontier next 🤰
Nah, Fallout 76
The Frontier?.. Oh god, don't remind me of that abomination
what software did you use to get the american psycho walking meme inposed over the fallout footage?
I use Filmora on PC but you can use any editing software really. Just
-Put a greenscreen on video layer 2
-Put what you want behind the greenscreen on layer 1
-Find whatever chroma key tool you have and apply it to the greenscreen
-Then adjust line thickness and feathering
And that's green screening in a nutshell. Hope this helps.
@@sleepygamermax6782 awesome! But next question, where would one find these meme videos to super impose anyway?
Casinos make you way more than 30k caps. Win at poker until you're just below the max win limit, then save scum at the roulette table putting max bets on 0 or 00. Sometimes it takes awhile, but usually it's only a few loads before you get a win.
That's an additional 7500 caps per casino.
Per. Casino.
Don't leave almost 40k sitting on the table, pun intended.
I’ve been told you can make way more than 30K(It was just a quick estimate I threw in there) but it becomes harder to meaningfully spend the caps at that point. I finished the game with 15K.
It's ~41 K at the five vanilla casinos and ~10 K pre-war money at the Sierra Madre, if you only do blackjack.
Ngl, your pause on the ninja perk gave me some important info I did not have. cool
Didn’t know that either until I researched every increase to crit. The perks in this game don’t function properly 🤣

The american psycho edits are making me lose it 😊
>Console commands to kill NPCs for exploits
Why not just give yourself caps and ammo
Thank you for making this video. I've been looking at How to max out my Crit chance for Over five years.
It’s doable. Especially if you use paciencia which has a x2 crit rate. 100% crit rate is possible but not necessarily viable. Was a fun research project nonetheless.
Still much less (random) crits than 1 minute of tf2 casual.
TRUE!!! Spit your facts homie
