@@MrTea-cz4dr Yeah I really hate how they never show the empires side in many things, they may have been brainwashed but we’re still ultimately human. @@walterwhite8387 I mean tbh the stormtroopers are the only part of the empire we constantly see despite being like special forces and not the imperial army.
If you want to read the perspectives of Imperials with the Battle of Endor, Jakku and previous battles such as Hoth and Yavin, you should read Star Wars: Lost Stars by Claudia Gray. It's canon, and without giving much away, tells the story of two childhood friends as they find themselves on opposite sides of the Galactic Civil War. Trust me, even the most ardent anti-Disney Star Wars fan will like it. There's also a manga for it too.

Didn't even watch the full video yet, but I have to say that the intro is the single greatest artistic and thematic thing that I have seen in any SW fan film. It's different, unique, and has a lot of gravitas. Great job!

Agreed I mean stormtroopers are people too
@@AndreNitroX mainly even people who want to do the galaxy a favor and want to fight crime for example
@@AndreNitroX Just because they are people doesn't mean much since they are fighting for the bad side. The empire clearly rules out of fear and terror instead of mutual respect for the everyday imperial citizen. They haven't just treated alien species bad but other humans as well. Not to mention they have committed atrocity after atrocity and either blamed it on others or allowed the public to know they did it in order to keep them in line. Propaganda and also the fear and terror tactics is what keeps the average imperial citizen in line so the Empire can keep a sense of order. Just because Stormtroopers are people doesn't change the fact they are clearly fighting for a regime that rules out of fear and terror in order to keep the everyday citizen in line and is clearly evil.
Watching this after the Bad Batch fits so well
I guess, but theyre 30 years apart
@@kx250fforlife not 30 this is the battle of Endor which took place 23 years after the fall of the republic
It seems to me that the Bad Batch had less story than this short movie
@@trostlf2699 I liked bad batch a lot, but youre so right tbh. these are so much more entertaining than even the mainline stuff, it just feels genuine.
I mean I don't see it myself considering they're like 20+ years apart haha
why is this so unknown?!? i gotta share this. i will share this to everyone!
to bad that most i know dont speak english all to well...
YOU! you who reads this: share this masterpiece with everyone you know too. we have to make it known, getting it supported!
I’ve waited years for Lucasfilm to do a story about Stormtroopers, you’ve not only beaten them to it, you’ve surpassed them on quality and sheer heart! That was amazing, you guys rock 🤘🏼
This is fucking amazing
You have no idea how many Ewoks I’d be willing to murder if it meant I could be an extra in this series lol
i vouch this!! Cause same here!!
Death to the murder bears!
I hate murder bears
22 + 5 children if they were too savage
🤣🤦🏾♂️
Star Wars Theory brought me here and now I am happy.
If someone told me this was done by Lucas Films, I'd believe it. This is absolutely incredible. You guys are freaky good at what you do.
Well, I would personally NOT BELIEVE that Lucasfilms had anything to do with this after Kathleen 'Franchise Destroyer' Kennedy and Disney took it over. This is miles and miles above ANYTHING that they have done.
This is true Star Wars, just a simple studio trying to make its way in the current world where The Mouse has it’s eyes on anything it could monetise.
T H E M O U S E
The RAT
The intro alone proves to me you can put normal music in Star Wars and make it work.
They used the hu in fallen order and it worked brilliant, although idk if you would class Mongolian music as normal
i like how in this you feel like the stormtroopers are actually what they are meant to be, dangerous
ehhhh - they never were dangerous let alone threatening that was more clones. Stormtroopers were more about overwhelming numbers much like the droids, flooding your enemy with bodies making any battle seem hopeless.
@@sephiroaone-of-nine101 501st which we predominantly see in the original trillogy were made up of the clones that survived the formation of the empire. 501st, vader's fist. Anakin's original band during the GAR campaigns.
@@sephiroaone-of-nine101 they were originally meant to be the empire elite shock troops, but in the movies they sucked for plot reasons, which evolved into a fandom meme, which Dave Filoni for some idiotic reason made canon, taking away any threat they once had and make the empire overall incompetent, which personally i think was a big mistake
@@sword4005 ehhh they never looked cool in the first place
Man we probably never get anything official like this. Disney star wars will always have the stormtrooper that turns good (like Fin), but the it's way more interesting to see the "Bad" guys as people with reasons for they do.
*This Is Better Than Big Flicks, it's crazy how fans do better than Hollywood*
Because fans care :p
It helps if you care about the IP and its special and dear to you. Not just a platform to spout your politics.
Because Hollywood is politics now and more about putting real world agendas its so sad.
God if disney just had two brain cells to rub together they would give these guys a million dollars and say, make me something great. I have no doubt that they would produce something incredible
The Force forbid Disney prevents them from crowdfunding, just as they did with Star Wars Theory
That's just the thing, Disney doesn't have any brain cells, they only see the bottom line and that is why they fail...
"product something incredible" - except that despite the machinations of the empire, they've created something here that is rather incredible. Not sure if input from the empire would help or hold this back.
@@styrofoamforbreakfast the only thing I remember about star wars theory is when someone said "I think the amount of overreliance on fanscervice is a bad direction" (or something) and he basically said "no it'd exactly what we need" or something. I've put them in the same court as Collider
Not a good start but this video is really good and deserved to be made and from what I've seen ... yeah it's better than the Mandalorian ... however real reason they won't is obvious. There's no cute Droid or toy that they think they need even Jedi Fallen order had to have one.
Well, sometimes I wonder if disney hates us SW fans? Feels like it most of the time.
Was anyone else thinking “I’m captain Obran, and this is my favorite sacrifice on Endor” because of Mark Meer?
Wow i did not catch that the first time. Thank you for pointing that out that's so cool.
wow the set design is really awesome genuinely feels like its a movie
My first reaction to the opening space scene: "There's no way this is fan film! This looks insane!"
That was awesome. Keep up the great work!
Yes! Mindblowing, Spectacular Top Quality Content! We can all see that obviously this was made with lots of Love. Thank You.
That space scene was better than the Rise of Skywalker, and I don't even particularly hate the sequels, I just was so disappointed by that space battle.
That moment when fans make a movie MUCH better than dISNEY !
That's how you know it's fan made. It's much better quality and content.
Just to imagine that if this was cannon both this squad and Inferno squad watched the Death Star implode on itself in complete awe at the same time
as did many other Imperial Loyalists that day. Many of their stories need to be told too.
@@MrTea-cz4dr Yeah I really hate how they never show the empires side in many things, they may have been brainwashed but we’re still ultimately human. That’s why this film is so good because they highlight the suffering that still effects the bad side. Same goes for the beginning of Force awakens and the Mandolorian.
@@walterwhite8387 I mean tbh the stormtroopers are the only part of the empire we constantly see despite being like special forces and not the imperial army.
Shut up! This WILL be my canon!
Once again, the fans get how in depth this universe can be.
This is stunning!
With the films solely from the point of view of the 'Good Guys', the Rebels and the Jedi and such, we never get to see it from an Imperial Point of View.
The character integrity seems really good, too. I'm in love with what I've seen so far!
Yeah! When you look at it from an Imperial soldier's POV, the Rebels are honestly little more than murderous terrorists.
99% of the time I forgot it was a fan film, amazing work!
I love the humanization of Storm Troopers. It's opened up a whole other universe of characters and emotional story opportunities that Disney failed to capitalize on by leaning into the death of the Skywalker family line
It’s how Finn should’ve been
This is going to be one of the best fan projects ever made :)
The quality of the production design, cinematography, special effects, and the script SHOW. This NEEDS more recognition.
Didn't even watch the full video yet, but I have to say that the intro is the single greatest artistic and thematic thing that I have seen in any SW fan film. It's different, unique, and has a lot of gravitas. Great job!
And THAT is how a Star Wars story is done. Can't wait for the rest of the season!
Well, RIP Mark Meer, I guess someone else is gonna have to have a favorite store on the citadel
Glad I got the Boromir death scene, though! :) ...Do Stormtroopers get to be Force ghosts?
@@markmeer7887 It is good to see you again! We missed you after Mass Effect. 🙏🙋♂️

FANTASTIC
Sup. Interesting to see you here
general kenobi, you are a bold one
still cant wait to see clone wars obi wan vs anakin
Wow that was incredible!
Can't wait for part 2 :)
6:05 The poor Ewok destroyed by his own trap.
Did anyone realize that the intro starting at 1:06 is the entire series? I calculate 2-3 episode long series. It's just a teaser of the following episodes. Great job. I usually watch 1 minute of fan films then leave. I stayed all the way through and even watched the intro 3 more times after. This right here is dedication!
I’ve felt more emotions in 10 minutes watching this than I have watching the entire sequel trilogy. This is beautifully done.
The majority emotion while watching the sequel "trilogy" that I experienced was humor. But this? It can be taken seriously.
@Aquarium Go What a predictable comment...
@@stevenf.gonzalez1080 it may be predictable, but that is only because it is true.
@@stevenf.gonzalez1080 what would be preferable? Something like "oh the sequel trilogy was well done, with amazing writing and actors but this was pretty good for a fan film?"
Lol nah. No need to shill for that comedic hot mess. Pulling force powers out of her ass whenever the instance called for it. After failing basic force training... Bahaha I laughed the whole time.
The only emotion anyone but idiots got from the sequels were disappointment
How soon before Disney shuts this amazing project down? I pray they miss it for as long as it takes to finish all the episodes.
this really shows how war affects everyone, Rebels, Storms, Clones, Droids, no one leaves the war without getting scarred
If only Disney could make quality work like this.. Absolutely blew me away with the cinematography, acting, props and those small minute details that make this piece really come to life in the star wars universe. Also! Those DX9 really made me smile :)
That was totally awesome! I cannot wait for the next episode!
They even added the Willhelm scream amazing so proud of what the fans are doing
YES! and in the first scene.... thank you!!!
...and TK-1977 at the end - love the throwbacks done in a non-garish way - how have I not come across this before!!!
This is better than most, if not all, Star Wars movies. This IS the show we’re looking for!
The most competent stormtroopers I’ve seen. Y’all knocked it out of the park! Looking forwards to more.
Tantive IV
This is how storm troopers should be shown. Compared to Disney ruining them
@@Collision_9 thats so true
Stormtroopers are supposed to be the elite marine corps of the empire. They're well trained and equiped with cutting edge tech. Even if Disney wants to present the empire's forces as incompetent morons they should at least present one of the empire's most elite branches as slightly competent.
my youtube recommendations just went from 0-100 really fast today
This is probably the best Star Wars fan project out there. Everything from the acting to the effects to the costume and set designs are incredible. I’m also in love with that intro. I really can’t wait to see more of this
