    I love your videos and artistic/creative style. The whole vibe of your channel is so soothing and meditative…it makes me feel as if I can relax a little while a paint, a rare feat for me, haha. I’m quite a novice at watercolor, I’ve only been painting a year and I haven’t really had my “breakthrough” moment yet or found my own artistic voice. But your videos have been a source of positive inspiration. Every night I spend a few hours painting along to your tutorials just to wind down from the day. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. I can’t wait for your next tutorial!

      Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I absolutely love having a certain aesthetic with calming vibes. That’s what I like to watch so I’m really glad that I can bring it to others out there as well.

    You're amazing! This painting is so beautiful. I truly appreciate the way you explained everything with such detail. Thank you so much.
    I'm going to try this painting, and follow along with you, later in the week when i'm not so busy.
    I have every brush you mentioned. I use Daniel Smith paint (I have used M. Graham, Winsor and Newton, and some Paul Rueben) but my favorite is Daniel Smith.
    I use Arches cold pressed paper but i also like Boahong.
    Thanks again Jackie for bringing us these informative tutorials. Sometime I would love to meet your sweet cat. 🙂🐾💕x

    Gosh its lovely. I love mist. Your technique for the trees is simple but so effective. Where I live, we often get atmospheric inversions, separating the rolling hills and fields. They don't always last long but I love to see them. Thank you.

      Thank you so much. I appreciate you watching and leaving me a comment. And I hope that you can get more and more of those misty scenes in your own landscape at home. I always feel that the fog never lasts long and it always goes away as soon as it comes so I get that as well.

      I most certainly do it is my favorite and beloved subject to paint so of course it’s what I always want to share. But I do plan on sharing some coastal scenes, but as always my tutorials will more than likely have a moodier vibe.

      We hear this all the time, and it's not always easy because we put so many hours into it, but the trick is to keep on painting. Keep on painting the subject you are trying to learn. Sometimes it helps just to practice the mist without trees. Move the paint around with different amounts of water and paint. Let it flow.

    I have recently discovered your youtube channel and have been exploring this beautiful technique for the first time. Thank you so much for your detailed explanations and sharing your tremendous talent with the rest of us. I have been intrigued by your tiny little square palette dishes, the ones with just a single color of paint in them...can you share on your blog (which I just signed up for!) where you find these amazing small receptacles? I have to say that the "messy palette" that I see most artists use, is not my favorite way to paint...and these seem like an amazing way to keep paints separate and portable from one painting to another! Thank you again for your innovation and teaching us.

      Hey hey! So glad you're here and welcome :) I love those little square dishes. I actually ordered them from an Etsy shop. I can't find the shop now, which is a shame, but if you search enamel pans a bunch should show up.

    Great tutorial, thank you. I am currently painting along (trying to) and using Roman Szmal synthetic squirrel 113 (small mop) for the mist and will use Willow Wolfe Calia fine round 1200 and Roman Szmal synthetic squirrel liner for the finer details.

      Thank you so much for your comment. You are too kind. Yes I have used a dagger brush before by Princeton in the Neptune series but in all honesty, I don’t ever use it for my landscapes. But if you do, let me know how it goes and whether or not you would recommend it. 🌲🤍

    😢perline green. What is an alternative green for that

    • @JackiePeacock
      @JackiePeacock  5 місяців тому +2

      It’s a very dark green so if you wanted to use green with black and a little bit of red, you can get something quite close to it. The more red that you add though the gray and more muted the green will be so if you want it very vibrant you can also add even a darker blue and that’s going to keep it even cooler.
