    Guys! I’m SO sorry about the weird volumes. I kept moving my head away from my tiny mic. 🙈 Next video will be better I promise. 🌲

    Thank you got sharing that it doesn't always turn out how you envision. I get down on myself when i don't paint what I'm envisioning and I need to adopt the way you looked at it!

    I smile again at your laid back and no worries approach. You explain your process nicely nonetheless and leave us with a very nice and achievable example, which simply amplifies your process. A nice start to the new year. Thank you.

      Haha so glad I am coming off that way. It's taken work. Some days I still struggle with perfectionism.
      Happy New Year to you, Michael! I wish you many joyous paintings.

    I'm new to this and I painted along with it. It was my first attempt at mountains. The painting turned out to be my best effort yet.

    As always Jackie, the painting is beautiful. When I see a video from you I get so excited. There are not many artists that paint a misty forest in watercolor.😥
    I don't know what goes on in anyone's life but, I do wish you could give us more of your lovely paintings and teaching ideas.
    Take care Jackie and stay warm.💕🖌🌲

      I’m trying to work on sharing more. Life is always so crazy haha. But I love UA-cam and don’t plan on going anywhere. I’m going to do my best to post once a week, and I still need to get my Facebook community started. 🤍🌲

    I saw your video, and I decided to attempt it, I love how you teach, but I saw that my desire for want was a lesson in patience, abilities, and determination. I feel this painting taught me quite a bit. For me, it was four hrs because I was hard on myself. At the end, when I painted the forest, I was sooooo happy with the outcome that I completely forgot about the snow. I didn't want to put snow on the trees, but I knew I had to finish my picture. I reluctantly applied the white to my picture, but by the time I was done, I was overwhelmed with the beauty of it all. Thank you for picture number 6 in my learning series. It's not exact but very close. Looking forward to our next lesson. My thanks for helping shape my learning. 😊❤

      Thank you for talking about the mistakes and things you would have done differently! Had you not said anything, I wouldn’t have noticed and thought it a beautiful painting regardless! So it’s a great lesson in reminding yourself not to get too hung up on mistakes because the viewer probably won’t even notice!🙏🏽😂

    I was glad to see you pop up in my notifications. I was wondering what happened to my forest girl. This is probably my favorite misty pine ridge you made yet. I wish I could do it, but some how my attempts don't look as nice as yours.

      Glad you got notified! And thank you for sticking around even though I've been inconsistent with posting. I appreciate it.
      I'm so glad you've enjoyed this scene! And it's so easy to compare our art and get frustrated. I know I still do it. I have to shut off IG quite often. But keep painting and hang your own art up on your walls so find inspiration in yourself.

    Jackie, I have a quick question. What do we do with all our paintings......good, bad or indifferent. I have a box full. I hate to throw them out but I'm not sure why I am keeping them.....lol. Most of them are practice or somewhat failed attempts. Just wondering.

    • @JackiePeacock
      @JackiePeacock  7 місяців тому

      Hmm that's a great question. For me, I will take old paintings I've done that are no good and use the back of them as practice paper for brush strokes and color mixing. Obviously you wouldn't want to use the back of your paper for an actual painting, but it's great for "non-sense" practice. Otherwise, I have bins full of art pieces. If you can sell them, then that's a major win!

    I love your work. You have such a beautiful talent! I do have a hard time watching with volume because of the "s's" ..they are very whistle-like? So volume down for me.

    • @JackiePeacock
      @JackiePeacock  7 місяців тому

      Totally understand. I think I need to retrain how I pronounce S haha but playing an instrument for years probably didn't help. I'm looking into some
      De-esser settings in my editing to help that, because I totally get that. I have struggles with some readers on audiobooks.
