haven't been to the theater for a very long time, cause i don't care for modern cinema that much anymore, but will definitely see those in the theater
It will be an epic watch! Can't wait!
Thanks for this review it's needed. Glad U liked it I can't wait for chapter 1 in June and chapter 2 in August I can't wait. This is gonna be epic.
What a wonderful gem this channel is. As a lover of film I will be continuing to see more of your reviews.
Thanks ~ actually far more interesting and helpful reflection than I thought I was going to see!
I applaud you also.
You are the most open-minded critic I've seen in Cannes. I wish there are more like you.
With that, you earned my subscription. Keep doing your reviews!
Love Costner normally. He is a genius actor filmmaker - and I hope this one is great.
Thank you, just waiting for the streaming
I took the opportunity on a rainy fourth of July to go see this movie. Concerned about the reviews and those piling on regarding its lower revenue the first few days. My take is exactly as the reviewer stated. Two things you immediately come away with is: 1) the eagerness to see the story threads and plots continue 2) the set pieces and detail (aside from the known incredible vista shots and landscape) make you want to see again to observe all those objects in the scenes. Yes, some dialogue in some scenes is a tad weak, but there is some great concentration on "coming of age" morals and ethics as it pertains to retribution and vengeance that keep you on edge in one of the story threads and Costners' bad "fate" in his story line just made me say how many people heading west in that expansion also didn't create their livelihood, but were a product of fate. I give it a solid B, but more importantly, is a quick 3 hour run needed to be seen in the theatre.
I'm looking forward to this movie. I'll planning on only watch three movies this year in theatres. Dune2 and the two Horizon movies. Thanks for the review
Sorry, but must go off topic. As you walk through the streets of the region - I assume Cannes - it makes me eager to get back there. My family trio go to the South of France every other year, and it has begun to feel like home away from home. So, I guess it's homesickness I feel. I had the pleasure of having a nice, cold beer right in front of the red carpeted steps of Cannes' Film Festival site (palais?). Glad you're there! We're due this September!
I loved it.❤
When you're old and got tons of cash, why not make a passion project? You can't take it with you, and you don't want to give to your ex. 😂😂😂
You are entitled to your opinion, but my opinion of yours is he's not old, and you think you're funny when you're not, and you're an idiot because it sounds like your jealous
He’s wealthy but he doesn’t have tons of cash. He had to mortgage his ranch outside of Aspen, CO to help fund it. If he doesn’t make back the money and can’t make payments, he could lose the ranch.
The golden rule of Hollywood is never pay for any movie yourself. Rarely it works. It worked for Mel Gibson for passion of the Christ. It has bankrupted others.
We shall see. I hope it’s successful.
This is why she's the ex.. Kevin told her he was going to quit Yellowstone, mortgage the property and use that money to make the first of 4 Horizon movies out in Utah over the next 4 years. So she filed for divorce.
It's crazy that it was shot on a RED Komodo. Cheap camera.
I really need to update my eye prescription, I read that as "red kimono" 😁😄
Pls do count of Monte Cristo
Breathe mate, breathe :) or you're not gonna be around for part 2
Hah, yeah, for some reason I couldn't catch my breath... I'm out of shape, obviously. But not THAT out of shape. Blame two weeks of less than 4hrs of sleep :)
You need to start doing Some sport there bro!
Have not seen it yet, but it sounds like that Horizon was made in the likes the movie…How the west was won.
I know this film is getting trashed right now but I still very much want to see it.
STOP walking and just give your review!!
This certainly isn't like The Godfather to Godfather 2. Don't compare the western Horizon with greatness, please. The Godfather was written and produced as a stand alone movie, they weren't planning for a part 2, they weren't sure if the movie would be a success. That's partly why The Godfather has a great, complete script, a story that starts, develops and ends perfectly on its own.
