Jill, thank you sooooo very much for this cheese sauce!!!!! I have thrown away so many of the cheese sauces I have tried. Yours was delicious! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Just tried this recipe. Used Cannellini beans instead. Used the juice of the beans in place of the water. OMG this is so good. This would be good on a vegan burger. Or anything else as a great topping.
I thought to myself oh, Jill she's such a nice lady she makes nice recipes. And then I tried this nacho cheese sauce. My socks were knocked off! This is better than any nacho cheese sauce I had had previous. Unbelievable!
Rinse corn tortillas under water, cut them into triangle quarters, toss them in a bowl with salt, put in the air frier....Super Crunchy. Taste like out of the bag.
This was so delicious oh my goodness!!! Jill mentions that the raisins could be 1 tb the amount listed in the recipe is the way her family likes it. I added only 1 Tb of raisins, 3 tbsp of nutritional yeast and I used garlic powder because I had ran out of onion powder. Give this a try it’s amazing!! God bless
This is fantastic! I’ve been making “cheezy bakes” with it - covering cauliflower, romanesco, mushrooms, and purple potatoes with it and baking for 20 minutes. Delicious! I also add a Brazil nut (for the selenium) and a B12 tablet to the cheeze. Also, a few leaves of cilantro - it adds a nice “Mexicanness” to it. Yummy!
Besides getting great recipes from you, I also find your presentations very mentally therapeutic. Thanks to you and your husband for making this all possible.
I was nervous making this, but as soon as I tasted it. Oh. My. Goodness!!! You are my HERO. I LOVE this dip... and I'm a bit of a Dairy Snob when it comes to dairy replacements that claim to be good. WOW!!! I replaced the Paprika with Liquid Smoke and it worked well.
I have noticed that many of the corn tortillas available in grocery stores are actually made with GMO corn. In rural areas such as where I live it is very hard to find organic corn tortillas

Fabulous recipe! I've been making this since I first discovered it. Great on veggies, especially stir fry or roasted veg. A quick wrap with left over rice & veg with this sauce... heaven! I have made it with oats instead, love the lower fat, not quite as creamy. Have also done half cashews, half oats. Eat it fast - spoils in about 1 week.
Update - I have also tried this with Garbanzos in place of cashews or oats. I still prefer the cashews for creamiest texture, but I'm certain they are the highest fat option. Always good to have options if you gotta have Jill's Cheese Sauce and a less than accommodating pantry!
This looks amazing. An alternative to the oven method for the tortilla chips is to put them in a panini press, although doesn't make as many at a time it works quite well. Like your constant inventiveness and that it's always healthy.

I’m happy I watched..I assumed you were going to make a potato version for some reason which I don’t generally like. I happen to have some raw cashews in my freezer. And I always have all the other ingredients on hand. I’m making this today!
Dang! I can't do Nutritional Yeast or Vinegar while healing. I've been steaming russet and sweet potato while baking a jalapeño, green chili, red bell pepper, onion and garlic at 400. I blend all this together w smoked paprika, onion powder, coconut aminos and maple syrup. It's delicious and pretty cheesy too... plus no fats (you could add cashews or tanini) and healing benefits of the potato, peppers and onion/garlic!
I'll tryed this since it has low content of nutritional yiest. I dont care much for its flavor. Hopefully I dance for joy like you did 😁 Keep up the good work God bless you
Thanks for the video Jill, I have made a similar dip many times - yum! It helps to blend if the cashews are soaked 🙂 I love your fast put them whole and break them up later tortilla chips tip 😁
Thanks Jill. I am sitting here seating the cheese sauce on potatoes and broccoli. Made a few substitutions to make with food I already had, it turned out great.

This is good but was too sweet with the raisins. I think next time I’ll probably leave them out. I also added some chipotle chili powder for added kick.
Hi Jill, I hope you get this message given it's over a year after the video... you mention a less calorie alternative to cashews being rolled oats. Can I use steel cut oats and do they need to be cooked first? THANK YOU!
Hi, did you blend the sauce until it was hot? (About 10 mins in a vitamix) or just until it was smooth? I’ve just discovered your site and am loving it, thank you x
Hi I will try this although being in England not sure what nacho cheese dip is but sounds good and thinking can I omit the smoked paprika for it to be a regular cheese sauce? So envious of American food and shopping - would love to buy big old tubs of 'greens' instead of miserable little packets 🤤
I will say first that I have not yet tried YOUR recipe for this cheese sauce attempt. Been vegan eating for nearly a year now, loving it but ... I miss REAL CHEESE!!! I have been scouring the UA-cams to find a suitable recipe for oh god, ANY cheese that tastes somewhat similar to what I am missing. Every time I try a new recipe I am left disappointed as the hosts continue to say: "this recipe tastes just like this or that kind of cheese." I make it, I eat it, it tastes NOTHING like the real cheese. Recently though, I FINALLY did find a recipe from the channel on UA-cam "Yeung Man Cooking" where he made an alfredo cheese sauce that I made as well and it BLEW ME AWAY! It actually DID taste like real alfredo sauce. I was flabbergasted! So I have hope for others now. Lets see what you have here with this one. I just wish I had more money to spend on trial and error recipes, lol. Thank you soooo much for sharing your recipes with us Jill. I know it may seem like a thankless job but I watch your recipe videos all the time and I know what it takes to cook. Gosh, I just made Kimchi last night, and made the mistake of starting at 11:30 at night. *Gulp* I didn't finish till 3 am!! Your hard work is appreciated. Lee
This is my go-to cheese sauce ever since I learned it from you. I still use teaspoons for all the measurements as it was in the original recipe. Curious to see the difference by using a tablespoon for some. Thank you for a great recipe!
Hi Jill, I can't wait to make it.. I love chips too. I am allergic to nuts and I am happy that we can change it for rolled oats...Do I use the same amount as the raw cashews? Thank you for your recipes..
With oats the dip will not have the same taste or creaminess in my opinion, I suggest you try it with sunflower seeds instead of nuts, it will be almost identical 😉
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow I made this and it is the best vegan cheese dip I’ve EVER had!! I ended up using raisins because I found some. My whole family loved it including my meat eating husband. I made impossible nachos and topped them with this cheese. Outstanding!!

Raw cashews are what makes it so creamy. If they are roasted, it will be a little gritty.
