I just watched a video I saved that you made on food storage 8 years ago. You were practically a baby. I’m glad to see that you are still making videos
@LadyK_RD Yes! Vinegar works so well! I wash my sister's laundry, and she is a heavy smoker. The vinegar removes these nasty smells. It is also my fabric softner. So economical to use, no machine gunk build-up, and better for the environment. A winning solution.
Oh, I have to do compression socks on cold water, clean and hang them to dry because compression socks are a little different because then your regular sock would be, but I wanted to tell you, Melissa that about the compression socks is how I learned it from somebody that compression socks are so something that they help with the circulation of the feet and legs for those who have poor blood circulation in that, but the reason is the compression socks when you wash them is good to put them in a washing machine, but you have to hang them to dry so what I do is have them in a shelf hanging system and it’s nice that I can get my compression socks when they’re completely dry
I use my quick wash function all rhe time. I also took your advice and bought the unscented downy rinse. Did great on my towels. The towels are where I've smelled the 'rebloom'.
Some personal pro tips on smell: 1) I stopped wearing any kind of plastic. All of my clothes are made from Merino Wool or cotton. They take forever to developer any smells. 2) I stopped eating processed foods and vegetables, and my personal body odor is practically non-existent. I didn't even need body wash and shampoo anymore. 3) I use a clean towel every time I take a shower. 4) My bedding is 100% cotton.
I fully approve of this message and I’m glad she’s getting out there! The fabric rinse is MAGIC!! Plus if you like scent, it leaves a wonderful scent on fabrics.
How I do laundry it’s a kind of a method I’ve done is always bedding first and then your comforter, both in warm on normal cycles and then do a load of like pjs and pants and underwear including pj shirts in cold water clean . Then hoodies , regular shirts and bras in cold water clean . But the cold water clean on bulky cycle .
What is the best way to wash bathroom rugs? I can't figure it out. If there is a rubber backing, it starts to crack/disintegrate if I put it in the dryer. If there is no backing, it shrinks a lot. Also, I didn't see a link for the Fabric rinse. I'd like to try it.
I live in an apt building and share washers and dryers with all tenants. When doing laundry, when each load is initially filled in the top loader machine, I add about 1/12 cups of distilled vinegar as a cleaning agent in the machine. Is this a good idea or counterintuitive because the dirt or whatever winds up with my laundry, or with the washing and wash cycles does whatever dirt is released by the vinegar in the beginning has dissipated in the end. Thanks for your help
Unless it says dry clean only I wash and dry all my clothes on delicate . It keeps life simple and my clothes are good . I work out daily . I only have one load of clothes that accumulate a week and wash them . That way I don’t feel overwhelmed with laundry Towels and sheets are another load
I always do washing my cleaning rags with my bath mats in one load because the bathmats they touch the floor, but cleaning rags are what gets used by cleaner and and most bathmats have like soiled whatever so that’s how I do mine and I do them twice a day in a week of my laundry days, but my bathmats one of them is clean then I can skip it
Thank you for this. Great tips. In the UK a lot of people are obsessed about putting their washing on the line. Not me. I use my tumble dryer all through the year. Some people make me feel guilty for using it.
Are people making you feel guilty for ecological, "Save the Earth" reasons? If so, you can remind them of hundreds, if not thousands, of giant corporations around the globe pouring vast amounts of pollutants into the water and air and soil. If it's a matter of "wasting energy/electricity," see my Example #1 above (giant corporations)!
Me too. I hate washing hanging around the house on airers, and the weather in UK is often not good enough for drying outdoors. Also, the sun bleaches out colours (especially black).
Grammar lesson from my 6th grade English teacher, Mrs. Collins: YOU SMELL, IT STINKS. usage: Your laundry STINKS (it doesn't have the ability to sniff and smell). Use baking soda or borax in the wash and vinegar as rinse (never use fabric softener or fragrance in the washer-ruins them. Watch appliance repair videos on UA-cam). Again, YOU smell, TOWELS stink.
I was inspired by your videos to buy a real working modern washer and dryer and it just arrived and I'm about to do first load - correctly. What's the rinse?
I just found your channel. Iwas trying to find an easier way to clean blinds. i ain't gonna lie it hurts to watch you but I find myself watching you whether I wanna get motivated to clean or not. You look just like my aunt that passed away of breast cancer in 2020. I didn't realize how much I still missed her till I found your page and I broke down and cried but then couldn't stop watching bc you have great ideas. I hate to clean but I do it anyways. I will say it's more exhausting when your constantly doing it and you can't ge your husband and children on board. If that makes sense. I get to the point where I'm like screw it. I don't care. Then my house gets away from me. It's just ..I can't explain how I feel half the time. I clean just for them to mess and clutter it back up. I hope my comment didn't come off offensive bc I really didn't mean it that. I'm very glad I found your channel. Have a blessed day
Is the fabric rinse supposed to go in the rinse cycle? I have an older machine, and I THINK the fabric softener compartment lets the product out during the cleaning cycle. Point is, if I wanted to use the fabric rinse, would I have to put it manually at the rinse cycle or can I put it in at the beginning in the drum?
Laundry weights…ok would you put in a same load white hush bedsheets and pillowcases with say, bras, panties and active wear that are all white or very light colors? I understand separating colors bit then adding in weight, this sort of throws me off and I don’t want to have 6-7 loads a week when we are only 2 adults in the family
Modern materials hang on to body oils where natural fibers seem to release them. My athletic gear gets washed immediately after training…and still stinks. SMH! I've tried EVERYTHING! I hang in the sun as often as I can. The machine (front load) is a continual issue.
Amazon lists the Downey Rinse & Refresh as a "fabric softener" as well as an odor remover. I do not want a fabric softener per se, just an odor remover. Why is the Amazon description including the words "fabric softener" when the Downy bottle itself does not say it's a fabric softener?? Confusing!!
What if your shirts smell like a buildup of deodorant/antiperspirant that didn't wash out? Even in the shower, deodorant is SO HARD TO REMOVE when washing underarms. I get it; you want it to stay on so it keeps working, but it never seems to entirely come off -- no matter how hard you try. And it doesn't seem to come out of clothes, either. NOT STINKY BO, BUT mix of product and just people smell.
I never wear anything more than once without washing it. The idea of putting an already worn piece of clothing back on is just gross to me. That doesn’t apply to things like jackets, coats or mittens.
They NEED to leave the kids alone!!! Kids aren't ready to make decisions like that. I think I read somewhere that suicide rates are higher in the trans community. This is sooooo damaging to our kids mentally. 😡

If your?
Water machine stinks what do you do for that?
I don't know if you got my message. But if you're washing machine stinks what do you do to get the smell out after you wash the washing machine skinks
Happy almost Friday!
I just watched a video I saved that you made on food storage 8 years ago. You were practically a baby. I’m glad to see that you are still making videos
Thank you for posting this. I love your videos
Thank you for watching them Jennifer!!
I have to say, the way you explained the laundry tag symbols was amazing - I finally can quickly tell what I need to do. 😊
Vinegar also works for stinky laundry
Thanks for watching!
@LadyK_RD

My choice too!
I also was wondering my son wore some t shirts in our pool. And I can't for the life of me get the smell of the pool out of his t shirts
So helpful thank you Melissa ❤

I never ever get these smells from my top load washer. I also wash my clothes in warm water. Cold water does not dissolve sebum in the clothes.

Very informative 👍

I always air dry my bathroom rugs.
I air dry too.
Doesn't that take a long time? Where do you hang them? Outside?

Always launder first! I bought my ex-husband a blue flannel, he insisted on wearing it immediately, when he took it off he looked like a smurf. Lol😂
When I read flannel I couldn’t work out why your husband would wear it, as in the UK a flannel is a washcloth. 😀
Lol
This is hilarious
Unless it says dry clean only
I wash and dry all my clothes on delicate . It keeps life simple and my clothes are good . I work out daily . I only have one load of clothes that accumulate a week and wash them . That way I don’t feel overwhelmed with laundry
Towels and sheets are another load
White vinegar for the wim
Great tips thank you, do you also use fabric softener with the rinse?
Sometimes my laundry has a sour milk smell. Don't know what causes it. Usually just wash again and it's fine. Never heard of a fabric rinse.
It's a newer product and works amazingly well! Thanks for watching :)
I so envy your washer and dryer‼️😭
I always do washing my cleaning rags with my bath mats in one load because the bathmats they touch the floor, but cleaning rags are what gets used by cleaner and and most bathmats have like soiled whatever so that’s how I do mine and I do them twice a day in a week of my laundry days, but my bathmats one of them is clean then I can skip it
I always do washing my shower curtain every type. One is a liner and the other is a curtain type.
Thank you for this. Great tips.

I have trained my family well at closing the toilet all the time. Even my 4 year old always closes!
I never dry on hot because it dries out the fibers which causes them to become brittle and break and then you get holes.
Downy is not available in the UK, would you recommend using vinegar instead still or not bother?
I want to hang dry my jeans but they come out so hard and scratchy they hurt and itch my legs when I wear them. What can I do about that?
@cleanmyspace
What isthe UK's version of down rise and refresh if their is anything??? Xx ❤
My brain just exploded and I'm off to drink wine. The laundry can sit and rot!
What about oil stains ? Currently using Castor oil and getting stains
How to download the free instructions laundry sheet? I already sign up for the newsletter
Sorry about that - you can download it here: cleanmyspace.com/product/laundry-care-symbol-chart
Every time that I wash a dish cloth it never smells clean. And I use pods to clean it. What am I doing wrong?
That I wanted to mention up how I do laundry
Where is the link for fabric RINSE??? I looked but I do not see it. I only see lots of other links.

Wash before wear! Never know where it’s been before you bought it.
I have to wash my clothes b4 I wear them. My husband laughs at me but I’ve seen a stock room at a retail store before!! Ain’t no way!! 😂😂
Am I correct t then you can wash towels in cold water not hot?
Wash them in warm water but hot water won’t ruin them. Hot water kills bacteria.
Yes, everything gets washed in cold :) Thanks for watching!

A smell I’ve never been able to remove from clothes, is the Goodwill smell. Impossible to remove
I wonder why that is?!
Thank you for all of the advice! I do prefer not to do my laundry in hell lol

Allo! Est-ce que le plant survit à nos hivers ou il faut le rentrer, comme on fait avec les figuiers?
Plants almost always need to be brought in during the wintertime.
