- As the trial of Charlie Adelson heats up, additional phone conversations continue to reveal new insights into the conspiracy behind Dan Markel’s murder. Audio of Donna Adelson’s phone call with an undercover investigator, whom she had met during the conspired “Bump” event, features her claiming “I had nothing to do with this, you have the wrong person.” Immediately following the suspicious call, Donna contacts her son, Charlie, who then calls Katherine Magbanua, all suspects in the case.

Don't you forget that at that time (after hitman was convicted), they already KNEW that the POLICE & the PUBLIC suspected them and were waiting to dig dirt to take them down, how the fk would you think you could rely on those people who SUSPECT & THINK ILL of you? That's not true though. Not everyone runs to the police about everything, especially if you feel you are dealing with gang members. I'm not defending these folks, but just because you go to the police, doesn't mean everyone would.

What's even more gut wrenching, is the fact that although many would have to see it to believe it, it is in fact actually true that their wicked grandmother and her crime family are indeed desperately attempting to save their behinds and avoid the catastrophic consequences of their actions having arranged for the brutal murder of those innocent, defenceless childrens' beloved father. This whole sordid affair in its entirety is truly the epitome of life being far stranger than fiction, and in the most unfathomabley cruel way. Danny had far, far more worth & so much more quality about him within his little finger nail than the collective entirety of this Adeleson crime family has combined.

My stomach gets such a strange feeling watching Charlie listen to this. I don’t think I’ve followed a case so long and had the chance to watch the trial in real time. It’s just so overwhelmingly sick; they are overwhelmingly sick.

How do you not go to the Police if you are being threatened or blackmailed and you’re innocent? No matter if you think the Police does not trust you or suspects your family. I would rather take that chance and report to the police and call the attention of the Law!.

The way the mom reacted and her response to the undercover should tell you immediately she was in on killing the father of her grandchildren. If you truly had absolutely nothing to do with hiring a hitman that killed your ex son in law, the moment this total stranger made any reference to the murder or about Dan or her or her children’s involvement, you would immediately start telling him to leave you alone, go away, probably even start screaming and saying this man is threatening you, etc. you don’t listen in carefully and go silent for over 20 seconds before you say anything to this man. She didn’t say anything because she was scared and caught off guard and didn’t want to say the wrong things to this guy that could implicate him or his family.
There is actually a decent explanation, so she really needs her day in court and a jury should find her either guilty or not guilty. She is given the letter, the undercover mentions Katie. So I’m her head she thinks Katie that dates Charlie she contacts Charlie to discuss it and he could have told her he was being extorted and that’s why she said what she said

So agree. Seems like there is enough guilt to go around with this family. There is one Adelson son that seems above the fray. He is estranged from his controlling mom and family and decided to marry the woman he loved. The Donna didn’t approve, thus the estrangement.
The mini me daughter, Wendi, harbors most of the guilt in my opinion. As a parent I can’t imagine the agony the murder victim’s parents and family are going through, knowing there is only partial justice. Life on this side of eternity is often not fair or just.

Regarding Wendi's "interrogation": When I had experienced a traumatic incident similar to this, I couldn't even remember what time I had gone to bed let alone anything else about that day. I was in shock and was gaining some sense of stability by answering the questions asked. I was too shocked to form any questions in my mind. I certainly wasn't as chatty as this gal. I struggled with every question. The questions themselves were shocking to me. It didn't occur to me for a moment that I was a potential suspect. She had far too much "presence of mind." Everything screamed contrived: her tone of voice, breathing, body language, "crying", her questions and her answers. She came across as a gal who is incredibly masterful at manipulating men. I am so very curious how she would have responded to a female investigator. Quite different, I think. (Are male investigators trained for this?)

Convincing a jury is more about optics than anything else. You need to present the appearance of guilt even if ostensibly so in order to do that. This call makes Donna and by extension Charlie look terrible. Shes sounds very worried and scared but any logical person would deduce if that were so for innocent reasons she would've taken this to the police immediately.

What if you're commiting some other crime like financial fraudulent and don't want to give the police the rights to dig dirt? Remember, at this time, it's clear to everyone that the police was SUSPECTING them and EYEING ON them, you DO NOT invite THOSE whose intention is to get you down, if you say otherwise, then you're a hypocrite! It seems like have some shady money scheme going on in the family, but that doesnt mean they commited the murder as well! The mother was scared coz she's threatened by a GANGSTER, while not TRUSTING the police becoz they clearly consider her entire family "people of interest" at that time, I think there's nothing illogical about her stress! He's looking at going to prison for the rest of his life for conspiring in someone's murder and is very likely going to be convicted. Implicating himself in a lesser crime would likely cast more doubt in jurors minds about why he's acting this way would be the obvious defense choice to me. These phone calls and their actions are pretty damning in my opinion.

So I don't see anything on the calls that proves murder. I'm sure the police/ fbi are angry that these people didn't pay or fall for their undercover jobs. 🤔 Nothing stands out in the 📞 to me . An Charlie was dating Katie still a little so nothing wrong with calling bk n forth to someone else especially if you really dk what the guy is referring to. Did the Adelsons seriously expect everyone to believe they weren't involved in Markel's murder despite the overwhelming evidence of motive and their connection (via Charlie's ex) to the guy who pulled the trigger? Their claims of innocence are so intelligence-insulting that you get the sense nobody has ever called these people out on anything, presumably because of their wealth.
