    Uhh- my daughter at 4 years old absolutely would repeat sentences to us that she heard from other people. “A 4 year old couldn’t string a sentence together” is a seriously bizarre defense

      ​@@kimisu9870I agree! I've only watched this case, and if I were a juror I couldn't find Charlie guilty, nor do I believe Wendi knew anything about anything. Prosecutor overkill on code talk and little nothing's that shes trying to make part of a conspiracy, like the TV or which alcohol was purchased for a bar stocking party. It's distracting and appears desperate. I enjoy watching trials and generally have a good feeling about guilt and verdicts. I suspect a mistrial here.....

      That they killed him and extorted him for the money he was going to pay Dan to move south with the kids.
      But for some reason the extortionist didn’t insist the whole 330K that he was going to give Dan. They settled for 138K cash and asked for 3K a month that could be traced to them.
      LOL.
      I’m sorry…if I am an extortionist…I’m not agreeing to a layaway plan on the extortion. You have the money in the bank…go get the money out of the bank and give it to me within 48 hours.
      My bet is that he hired them with the cash…then they extorted him for ongoing hush money.

    I think the prosecution missed some points. Like for example, he thought Katie was broke all the time, but she paid for her own breast augmentation? Either he paid for it, or knew she had money, and she should have pointed that out to show he was lying on at least one of his answers

      Well there is more proof that he paid money and had a motive for murder than proof of extortion. 3 people have been convicted not one has been convicted of extortion. I think he is guilty but we will see what the jury thinks.

      His mother is a witness.....but apparently defense did not want to call her for a reason........ rather suspect. If it were MY son, I'd be clamoring to take the stand and defend him and give my account of the "extortion".

    The prosecutor did not expose him, super disappointed in this today. I can't image that there won't be 1 juror on his side. All circumstantial evidence, never tripped up!! Didn't prove him wrong....

    When you're guilty of a crime you are constantly thinking, is my answer going to get me in trouble? That's what's happening when Charlie is pausing after almost every question. It's extremely tiring and Charlie is showing his fatigue.

    It was such a 100% obvious lie when he said he told his mum about the extortion for the first time and his mum allegedly said immediately ‘let’s go to the police’. You remember what he said he told his mum in response? No mum no these guys are dangerous, and what will we gain? WILL IT BRING DAN BACK?? Your mum is the last person in the world to be happy if Dan comes back!!

    His defense is plausible...remember Strangers on a Train? Only the most famous Hitchcock film noir about the extortion of an innocent man who casually and flippantly tells stranger that he'd like to get rid of his wife. Despite never agreeing to it, the stranger goes through with the murder and then extorts the husband and claims the cops will never believe the H had nothing to do with it. You never know!😮😮

    Georgia Cappleman has had years to prepare for this day.
    She was terrible. She had ZERO gotcha moments. She asked a bunch of questions and he answered them. She didn't challenge him on ANYTHING.
    Charlie will have to convict himself with his narcissistic personality. I believe he did, but these jurors are Florabama people. Not the sharpest knives in the block.

    "rough up" is not and adjective.
    It's called a "phrasal verb", a verb plus an adverb or a preposition. An idiomatic phrase.

    FACT | Tato, Tuto & Katie didn't have to murder Dan to extort money from this guy. PROSECUTORS' QUESTION | "Why couldn't they just come put a gun on your head and say "give me all the money and you are save"? His response: "Thank God they didn't". Doubles down: "Thank God they didn't or I would have been killed'. On these two things rest his conviction. Count on it!
