I love a fired up Booney. I wasn't going to renew my MLB package so I can watch the A's but this latest rant changed my mind. I have subscribed to the MLB package for a very long time, might as well continue. Like I mentioned in previous comments I live in Vermont and everybody here is mostly Red Sox or Yankee fans. Still quite a few Expo fans still but mostly Boston or NY.
I concur and like your style. Expos fans felt "us against the world" in the day. I didn't learn, either! I became a Marlins fan. We're ignored and ridiculed, too. It's what drew me to the A's situation last year. Booney is on target and it's truly the low- versus the high-revenue teams for long-term baseball sustainability.
@@thomasjoseph3488 I get it. My best friend is from Canada living in Vermont and moved his allegiance to the Nationals when they moved to DC. He still wears his Expo gear instead of the National hat and shirt. I still see a lot of people in Vermont wearing that awesome Expo hat.
@tvbaldwin Yes, lots of Expos fans in your area. I couldn't bring myself to follow the team to DC. I have some Lake Monster gear from their time in the Expos farm system. The tricolor chapeau is a huge retro seller. It never fails to get welcome comments when I wear it, at minor league games in Louisville or Jacksonville, or when we take road trips to Cincinnati and Miami. Expos Toujours!
@@thomasjoseph3488 I too have lots of Lake Monster gear when they were an A's affiliate until the minor league shakeup a few years ago. I still go to lots of Lake Monster games since I live only 15 minutes from the park in Burlington. The quality of the baseball isn't as good since they are no longer an affiliate of a MLB team. Mostly college kids wanting to play during the summer and a lot of local Vermont kids. Their logo is pretty cool.
The haters ignored the fact that the Bay Area market did not support the team well for most of their nearly 60 years in Oakland. Today only the top 3 markets, NY, LA, and Chicago have 2 MLB teams. Bay Area #10 media market smaller, and especially impacted the A's as most fans support the Giants. The media and YT channel creators put all the blame on Fisher and ignored the market realities, the difficulties of doing business in Oakland, and the general atmosphere that led business and people to flee. The result is all major pro teams gone from Oakland. Now some YT channel creators have proudly claimed they are divorced from the team and won't follow them or watch any games. Maybe if they had been more honest about the whole situation, they would not have been motivated to take that step. They are punished by their own short-sightedness.
I appreciate that, thank you and yes Sully is very talented. Sully is at a whole different level, he combines humor and knowledge like no one else. Again, thank you for the kind comment.
I think max muncy is the answer at 3rd base. I like schuemann, hernaiz and Harris but they are more like ultility players or backups. The A's need a upgrade at 3rd base
@@jasontapia1032 he’s been hurt Jason. Schuemann better than Hernaiz and I do like Harris, he needs to hit. I agree with you though, we need an upgrade. Let’s see how Muncy does in Spring Training
Booney, I understand the entire sick of the crap talk about the A's. I live in NY not the city but rural western new NY between Buffalo and Rochester it seems 100% of the baseball fans here love 2 things The Yankees and dishing on the A's. I've stopped arguing the A's value as there is no point its all Judge this Judge that or bringing up the past and the number 27. I started liking the a's because of Rickey was heart broken when he left but stayed true to them. i'll be an A;s fan if they go to Sacramento, Vegas, or Timbuktu. I also collect baseball cards my most cherished are my graded A's team sets I've put together doesn't matter if it's Philly, KC, or Oakland I love them all because they are the greatest team ever to play a baseball game!!!!

Hear you and understand! I'm tired of everyone genuflecting to the Mets, Dodgers, Yankees, Phillies, and Red Sox. The WS is not guaranteed by payroll.
