It's the owner that is hated, not the franchise! The franchise is tied with the Red Sox for the 3rd most championships and were beloved by their fans until John Fisher ruined them.
Phenomenal work fellas! Incredibly happy with how it turned out! Thank you for telling our story, ya’ll did it justice! Mad respect for you guys and your talents! Keep up the great work!
As a Tigers fan, We were always scared of them when we had the strong teams of the early 2010s. Even though we beat em often in the Playoffs, It still hurts to see a franchise like Oakland that's been a historical one leave a city due to a greedy owner and league. Oakland is one of the cities that needs a team for the community like my Tigers, being that they lost the NFL and NBA plus the fact it gives kids and families a thing to do without being scared out of their mind living in a city that is known for crime. It's one of those sports cities that if a team is winning and having a run to the playoffs, the whole city supports them like a High School in a small town and a College going to the championship game. Just man, I wish the ownership and commissioner cared. Thank you for covering this.
Man I only recently found your channel, this is awesome. I grew up in and around the Bay Area, been an A’s fan my whole life. Even going to high school during the Giants 3 in 5, I stayed loyal. I never gave up hope. For things to go down this way, it sucks. It makes me sad, I’ll never get to see my home team play in my home again after this season. I hope no other fans ever have to go through this. Cherish your teams.
How do you think my 90 year old father feels. Kansas City and then Oakland stole his Philadelphia Athletics. Oakland refused to celebrate to former Philadelphia players and championships
DSARM great video man! My mom has worked at the Colosseum for 23 years! So I grew up going to As games and remember all the playoff runs in the early 2010s. It’s heartbreaking to see them leave. Now living in Phoenix I’m getting to go to one last game in June to kinda say my goodbyes to the team. Sad days.

Great video. I've been an Oakland A's fan since 1971 when I was 9, have seen close to 1000 games and am heartbroken what has happened these last few years and pending move to Vegas. I'll see their last game in Oakland in September and will be done with them and MLB. I hope the city sues the A's and MLB for this horrible move. St.Louis did with the Rams.
I understand the frustration but Oakland has become a third world country in recent times, I wouldn't want any team in Oakland unless they can get their shit together
Dan, let me know your thoughts, the owner is the most hated in baseball and the Commissioner is right behind supporting him. The only way the A's stay in Oakland is if Fisher can't come up with the money for the construction costs in Vegas and if he relies on Vivek Ranadive to pay for the stadium for the A's in Sacramento without coming out of his own pocket. They will have no where else to go but back to Oakland.
Great summary of the situation and great interviews. I'm a lifelong a's fan. The last game I went to was the perfect game. Think it is best left at that. absolutely destroyed that the team that made me fall in love with this sport is gone. Probably will never be a fan of baseball in the same way.

Will miss having a local MLB team. Thx for the memories Oakland A's over the years. You were literally a HUGE part of my childhood. Truly the end of an era.
Anyone hating on A's fan on our reaction to what's happening. Genuinely take a minute and really try to imagine your hometown team just up and leaving. Its truly an awful and unreal thing to actually experience.

I was at the reverse boycott game in June 2023. That game was amazing. Everyone was wearing SELL shirts until there weren’t any left. The game started out very crowed and when it looked like it couldn’t get anymore crowed people were still walking in at the end of the game. We had a wave go around the stadium almost 15 times. People had there drums and trumpets. The entire game there was always a SELL THE TEAM or STAY IN OAKLAND chant going on. There wasn’t one quiet part of the game. Someone ran across the field and almost escaped security. Everyone went WILD for that. Everyone was having an amazing time. It’s sad to see the A’s go. Oakland’s lost too many teams in the past few years. The B’s are a great idea but everyone knows they will never be a replacement for the A’s. I mean Fisher really is selfish. Oakland wants the A’s to stay, Vegas doesn’t want the A’s to come. Just let them stay in Oakland.
Good video but there's one crucial angle you left out. The city. Did you try to interview the Mayor? Officials from the city and Alameda County? This is a city that found a way to lose THREE sports teams and a ton of other businesses in the course of five years. How did this happen? I think the City bears a good bit of the blame, and this needs to be addressed.
You mean the city and the mayor that offered the team a better location and more money than Vegas?? Thy city/mayor?? Shit the fuck up man, fisher was never negotiating with Oakland on good faith and you know it. Take the boot out of your mouth you fucking clown
Yep the city and crime, never mentioned the big reason 😂. I avoided the east bay when I lived in the Peninsula and smart people do unless you are stuck on that side😂. Look at all the businesses that closed. You’re going to not speak of the big picture?
I have the same feeling as the Athletic fans, just like the Rams and Stan Kroenke moving them. Also, keep up the good videos! (Especially sports related)
Absolutely Embarrassing! As A Braves Fan I could not imagine an empty Truist Park! Love your vids!Keep it up!❤ Also, did I just hear John Fisher say he’s excited to see Aaron Judge hit Home runs against the A’s! John Fisher might as well hold up a sign that says “I bought this team so I can watch them burn into fames!” Again DSARM YOUR AMAZING!❤ #SpareA’sFans! #JohnFisherSUCKS!
My hope is that the funding for the stadium in Nevada falls through, they get stuck playing in the minor league stadium in Sacramento long term, visiting teams become upset with the gate receipts, and the league forces this ownership group to sell. I don't know that this would result in the A's returning to the Bay Area, but it would give the franchise a badly needed fresh start.
Here’s what we need. Oakland is moving to Vegas. No doubt. BUT. If the A’s fail in Vegas, hopefully Fisher finally sells the team. Then we have a new owner that bring the A’s back to Oakland
In ten years this Video will be on the White Sox. And about the same thing, greed and not carrying. It’s sad as a white Sox fan to see that the current situation is turning out like this one. 😢😢😢😔😔😔
when Jerry dies the team will be sold & moved. the state isn't giving them a new stadium and the Cubs rule Chicago. mlb does not want 2 teams in the same city @michaelleroy9281
Why? Oakland is a crap house. Who would buy the team and keep in Oakland. You can't even keep The US Navy, Walmart. Walgreens, In-N-Out. hire some cops and clean up your crap hole of a city
That is what I have been saying. Oakland should focus more on fighting and preventing crime and getting the murder rate down instead of trying to keep a team whose owners clearly want to leave Oakland
Literally joe lacob…..lacob has offered to buy the A’s MULTIPLE TIMES and keep them in Oakland. This has nothing to do with the socioeconomic status of the city and everything to do with a greedy trust fund baby owner . Ironically you playing defense for that asshole is EXACTLY why Oakland is in the state it is currently. Lots of entitled “crabs in a bucket” assholes like you out here in Cali lol
I remember going to an A's game back in 1990 and 1992 while I was stationed in Concord. At the time, it was a great atmosphere during that era. Now the new owner sells out.
Man I loved the way Ricky Henderson played watching his highlights was crazy he was so good and fast 💨 feel so bad that they trying to move this team somewhere else
Im not an As fan, and Im not from Oakland. However what has happened here is honestly sad. Its ridiculous that the league allows this pathetic behaviour from team owners. Save the As!
A's fan in PHX here. The A's could succeeded in Oakland if the owner EVER invested in the team. I stopped buying gear with players names on them in the early 2000s. Why? Because they just traded EVERYONE away to save a dollar. Why invest in a team that doesn't invest in themselves
"why invest in a team" 😂 you don't get anything from "investing" by buying cloths 🤡 it's not like this makes you money (your team sucks😂 so unless you are betting they loose)
Dsarm you have to go to angels stadium during Memorial Day weekend!! Halos in the infield is hosting a “sell night” with make your own paper bags and shirt giveaways!!
How are you supposed to expect a team to stay in a 50+ year old stadium that's been falling to shit for the last 10 of them? That's why the Raiders are in Vegas now and why the A's are on the way out as well both teams have been trying to get a new stadium in Oakland but politics and other shit got in the way so they left
@@techwreck7613he is right. Look whether u like "public money" going toward Stadiums or not...billionaires don't like being told "No"..so when you challenge them...then of course your team could relocate..didn't say it was fair just telling you the reality
@@sirchi8731they literally offered him more money than Vegas did you fucking jackass. This has nothing to do with just getting a new stadium or lack of public funding. He’s a fucking trust fund baby that is ripping a historic franchise away from a community so that he can grow his assets by an extra .05 percent, and you’re nothing but a fucking piece of shit that’s defending his actions because you enjoy the taste of boot leather in your mouth. Jesus fucking Christ people like you are so dumb sometimes I can’t believe we share the same oxygen.
I remember talking to you about this cause I was siting in right field that night and saying it’s sad we are losing the A’s in the Bay Area even as a marlins fan cause I have friends who are A’s fans and it just sucks to see them lose their team
As a European who has followed baseball it saddens me that this is happening. Oakland felt like the most heartwarming team ever and I think they have a spot in everyone’s heart.
When I was about 12 and living in the East Bay, my parents would drop me off at the BART station, I'd head in alone and sit in the bleachers when tickets were like 4 or 5 bucks. It was a drunken madhouse out there. No reason for a kid to be alone in the environment. But I loved it. Got a little older and did the same thing to go the batting cages. It would be me the white kid and whole bunch of black guys. I could play, (actually had a brief pro stint) and was always treated really well. Great memories of that place. To see what's happened to the A's is disgusting.
As a bay area baseball team fan it really does suck to have one of the teams leave when the A's go to vegas sadly they will not be repped by half of bay area folks they will just sit back and watch in silence 🙁

I remember going to an A's game back in 1990 and 1992 while I was stationed in Concord. At the time, it was a great atmosphere during that era. Now the new owner sells out.
I love you and your content so much dsarm❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Agree with everything said about Fisher, but also have to understand the cost of staying in California thanks to how they vote. It's ironic
For every like I will do 1 push up
Edit: I just did 130 push-ups
Edit 2: Wow that’s a lot but I just did 70 more
Cringe

Bro this trend died buddy 😂
seeing someone doing a video about the Colosseum is dope
Man I loved the way Ricky Henderson played watching his highlights was crazy he was so good and fast 💨 feel so bad that they trying to move this team somewhere else
Amazing video man
As a giants fan, I love that chant SELL THE TEAM
Im not an As fan, and Im not from Oakland. However what has happened here is honestly sad. Its ridiculous that the league allows this pathetic behaviour from team owners. Save the As!
Oakland isn’t one of the “richest places in the world”, but that’s the beauty of it.
Excellent production.

@@Daveeeeeeyhowyoudoing public money will always be needed for stadiums
Dsarm you have to go to angels stadium during Memorial Day weekend!! Halos in the infield is hosting a “sell night” with make your own paper bags and shirt giveaways!!
How are you supposed to expect a team to stay in a 50+ year old stadium that's been falling to shit for the last 10 of them? That's why the Raiders are in Vegas now and why the A's are on the way out as well both teams have been trying to get a new stadium in Oakland but politics and other shit got in the way so they left
did you even watch the video
Great video, from a lifelong a’s supporter, 😢❤
i see a new dsarm post, i click immediately
Literally in Oakland @ Jack London square tearing up 😪
W vid. Keep up the good work
Vlogs and documentaries great stuff
When I was about 12 and living in the East Bay, my parents would drop me off at the BART station, I'd head in alone and sit in the bleachers when tickets were like 4 or 5 bucks. It was a drunken madhouse out there. No reason for a kid to be alone in the environment. But I loved it. Got a little older and did the same thing to go the batting cages. It would be me the white kid and whole bunch of black guys. I could play, (actually had a brief pro stint) and was always treated really well. Great memories of that place. To see what's happened to the A's is disgusting.
great story bro
1:07 to 1:15 That Guy looks like a Cartoon Character!🤣
That is why fans have given up on Baseball. Otherwise, great video DSARM.
As a bay area baseball team fan it really does suck to have one of the teams leave when the A's go to vegas sadly they will not be repped by half of bay area folks they will just sit back and watch in silence 🙁
