This is the opposite of the GDI motto: ''Do you want it done fast, or do you want it done right?'', unfortunely, the UED units are not fast enough to do the job.
If you lose all pilots on each segment of the mission without taking EVEN a single Battlecruiser, the part where you can use the Battlecruisers against Edmund Duke's Battlecruisers will not happen and you will fail the mission like other missions on the game Side note: at the final part of the mission where you go against Edmund Duke's Battlecruisers, the Battlecruisers that you fail to capture on each segment of the mission will be on Edmund Duke's side at the final part of the mission, meaning that you have to fight against much more Battlecruisers while having less Battlecruisers on your side.
The life expectancy of terran marines in combat is estimated in seconds before the UED introduced medics. If only they could have helped their pilots...
If we go by their command card, then yes. But at the same time, it's strange that literal medics are leading squads / platoons instead of an actual Marine squad leader in a mission like this
At least in the sense that it’ll be impossible to win. Because after the second team is killed in each stage it skips to the next, after that “one last crew” you have the showdown with duke and, well… We saw how that worked out.
i played some broken version of BW as a kid where if I navigated on medics abilities the game would throw me out entirely, this also applied to navigating to medics in the barracks, valkyrs in the starport and many other users such as DTs, Phoenixs, DAs, Lurkers and basically any unit or ability thats outside of the original SC. IDk why it did that but it made the second mission 10x times harder for me and I remember that somehow I finally mustered 8 battlecruisers and after about 50 failed attempts I was able to yomatto the shit out of Edmunds fleet where in fact I was outnumbered like hell
Yeah, the "illegal unit" bug. You can replicate this by adding broken units with a map editor. Some kick you out by simply seeing the unit, others you gotta click on or hover over abilities. There was even custom maps based on it ("Don't look at the dot!") The illegal command center doesn't boot, but turns into the stonehenge doodad lol.
@@Kizrunin I remember that if you had an oddly coloured flag i think you got a crash from the actual unit portrait since flags had unit portraits that matched the colour of the flag

I like how a single pilot can instantly hijack and commandeer an entire battlecruiser which StarCraft lore wise needs a crew from something along the line of at least 4000 personnel to operate.
So what happens if despite having 1-3 BCs at the end, then you use power overwhelming to win the battle at the end like some huge upset. Does that trigger any new voicelines?
