Lots of amazing female rock/metal bands around --for some reason, many from Japan. Nervosa, Crypta, Thundermother, Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, The Warning and so on.

Exactly. I myself have made comparisons to early Crüe and Judas Priest along with some Mike Howe-era Metal Church.

that I attended last November 9th!!! With this new album they entered the Swiss album charts on number 21, for the first time in the top 30. Their debut scored in the Top 80 in 2017.
The band was only founded in 2015!!

but she is even better anyway!
Another recent metal song called Black Widow is by a new (2 albums) band called Night Demon.
Night Demon is a trio, all guys, out of California. Their sound is pretty much that early-'80s NWoBHM style like early Saxon, early Iron Maiden, Jaguar, Satan (who are still around btw, great 2018 album), etc.
Good rockin' stuff if you feel like checking them out :)
More traditional heavy metal than power metal, but they are a terrific band. Good songwriters, very good musos, and continually getting better with each release
You should check out another all female band from Japan. Try lovebites " shadowmaker" .

Burning Witches from Switzerland
Yeah no, Burning Witches are a great new band. They've changed singers and one guitar player for their 3rd album which came out in March 2020. But their new singer is even better than the old one as she can do a deeper "evil" metal scream/growl when need be.
