Hello Friends! A few things to mention: The bottom frame of the divider rests on the floor of the truck bed and against the back of the wheel wells. In addition to the pressure that keeps it from moving, the divider itself is not able to be pushed past the wheel wells. In short, the divider works with the design of the truck bed. Of course, no matter what you're hauling, always secure your cargo.
My pendaliner truck bed liner has vertical slots molded into the rear area, where you can just cut a board and slip it into the slots, and have exactly the same result. Only you have a choice of three slots, so you can make that back area larger or smaller. Also has horizontal slots, front, rear, and on the wheelwells, so you can lay 2x6s in there and cover with plywood, to form a platform.
Thanks David! I am not a big fan of cordless circular saws but they are convenient for breaking down sheet goods. I find the 18V batteries just barely delivers enough power, even fully charged. Makita batteries are quite good but if I were to buy another cordless, I would probably look at buying a Dewalt.
Yes, I love the tri-fold tonneau cover. It is a bit heavy but it's solid and is totally weather proof. Here are the details: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07812Q63M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
How did you know that I pick up my 2013 RAM 1500 May 1st? :-) The first thing I will do for it is build this. I even have some black rubberized paint sitting around, should match both the bed liner and tonneau cover nicely. Thanks for the video and stay safe.

The idea of divider is great for practical space use.
Thanks a lot Eric, I like very much your videos. They are very useful for a beginner woodworker like me.
Awesome! Love that RAM truck! Thanks for the great idea
Nicely done Eric! That addition to the truck looks like it will come in very handy. Kudos.....👍👍
Thanks Steve! It already is. It's amazing how a simple build like this can make such a huge difference. Cheers🙂
Looks great. You should finish it off with either bedliner coating or plastidip.
I was going to pain it black but i like your idea of bed liner coating to match - I think I might just do that. Cheers🙂🍺
Thanks, I think I will build one of these.
Nice Simple design.
Good stuff well done

They should make all truck beds like that.👍
@@EricSorensenCanada Agreed!
Great video, I'm going to build one for my truck, thanks for sharing
Thanks Eric. How do you like that Makita circular saw?

Good idea! When not required it is thin enough to lay flat.
what make is your tonneau cover and are you happy with it. Are the hard ones heavy to gel off
