I've spent a lot of time at the shop with a 6 pack of beer and a half eaten pizza reconstructing my entire work van setup just to add something new. It's a labor of love but man when it works it WORKS!
Best Sharpie tip I've ever had my shop! You guys got to go to Harbor Freight and get the little bitty tiny magnets that are neodymium or whatever. They look like watch batteries there in a little plastic pill bottle looking thing. Super glue and all the Caps of your Sharpies and then just keep replacing the caps on the Sharpies. They stick to anything metal. I'm actually drop them on the ground and used a small piece of metal on my workbench to reach down and grab it without having to bend over and pick it up.
Whoa, that's a good idea. I can think of some other things I could stick to the walls in the shop as well. And, even better I could use some of those magnets in my shop office too. I don't think I utilize the use of magnets enough! Thanks for the idea. Maybe this concept will be a video some day! Take care.
Something so simple but man it has done the trick for me. And yes, I look forward to the next year's drawing installation every father's day. Thanks so much for watching.
I have a "junk pile" like that too, been saved by the "pile" many times when I need that "one thing-a-ma-jobber" to make it work. You never know when you're gonna need it. I think maybe that's a Grandpa George gene. Common sense ingenuity at it's best.
Oh yeah. It's amazing how frequently I visit the junk pile, although I have multiple locations for junk other than that pile! As always thanks for watching Tony!
Hey thanks for the idea. Was trying to figure out how to carry tools on my tractor rop without spending alot on items like ballast boxes. I tweaked your ideaZ Using pvc pipe i put holes in it, capped the bottom (drilled drain hole in bottom in case of rain) and zip tied the pipe to the rop, resting the bottom on the fender. Now i can carry a short shovel, tree clippers and my mini chain saw with me no problem. Again thanks!!!!
I actually have an old suburban that I let my daughter scratched and stuff into the hood I absolutely love this truck. But she scratched some stuff in the hood so we all started dress writing on the hood when I read you the truck I'm going to take the hood off and hang it in my shop. That's pretty cool man I like that idea.
Thanks! Sounds like a good idea with your hood. I obviously love that kinda thing. I look forward to Father's Day every year cause of this door artwork. Appreciate you watching sir!
The heavy duty velcro tape is another way to do this, attach to body with a self tapper and big washer and they give a great flexible way to attach things. It is the approach I used to store my high lift, bow saw, spade and axe in my Land Rover.
Ooooh, that is another great idea. Can't say enough good things about velcro, zip ties, duct tape... All the classic sticky stuff that makes life easier! Thanks for the idea and thanks for watching and commenting sir.
Awesome idea on using the sides , I may try . I have some unused space under my side tool boxes. . I just love organizational stuff that makes the job easier. I have pick -up , with side tool boxes and ladder rack. Its a 4 door and the back seats fold down. The Home Depot Rigid rolling tool box fits perfectly and locks up in the back area and no sliding. I have a hitch and small open trailer with a ramp that I use for garbage and clean up at the end of a job. I am still looking for a set up where you clap your hands and all the tools go back organized in your truck 😂👺
Another great video. Thought a chainsaw was coming out lol. I’m a uber driver and in between jobs I watch your videos. Sometimes I get annoyed when I get a job and have to press pause lol 😂
Another good video. I think next time I would try clamping pipe down to the work table so you wouldn't have to hold it with your hand. That way you can use your other hand to sign the patent rights.
I thought you were gonna say clamp it down to stay safe. I like where your head is at though... I could patent a tool holder kit where I just sell the 6' stick of 4" PVC with a black Sharpie. Now you've got me thinking... Thanks Dad!
Awesome video. My truck is a mess. I searched for work truck organization and this popped up. It's perfect for the hand tools, though I probably need more than one pipe. Thank you! I subscribed because of your garage door. That's awesome. :0)
Thank you so much for the kind words. For some reason UA-cam put this comment in the "likely spam" category and I am just now finding it a month later. I appreciate the fact you mentioned the garage door as I do think that is pretty cool as well. I hope you were able to find something with your truck bed organization efforts. Thanks for watching and commenting! Take care.
Those are soil probes for taking soil samples in farm fields. My day job is as an Agronomist and crop consultant and we do a great deal of soil sampling.
I am an agronomist and crop consultant. I work with farmers. Thanks for the comment. We do love the property here and although it is sometimes daunting to take care of, we try to take pride in it.
the hole saw is bottoming out on the pvc so unless you plan to melt the top of the pipe away with the cut of the hole saw you will never be able to cut all the way through
I know exactly where your duct tape is and now I know exactly who this is! Your secret identity is safe with me. Your duct tape... Not so much. Thanks for watching!
Nice project and enjoyed the garage door! Love that.
I appreciate that Captain! That garage door is kinda my pride and joy!

This is exactly what I need for mine and my kids' hockey sticks. Thank you!!
Great video! Well done. The pvc and grinder bit were funny too
Nice project. Awesome artwork! Greetings from 🇨🇦
Thanks so much! It’s nice to have people tuning in from Canada.

Love the pipe idea. Might try that. Also love the kids drawings , good idea.

All right finally something simple
And, it is still holding up well 9 months later... No problems.
@@digdrivediy I got some 6” pvc ppg I can utilize, even the pvc gutters could be used as racks!
Great tip. I will have to use that in the future
That beautiful shop. All the tools! This guy clearly doesnt make all that money knowing how to use any of it!
Just a hobby shop, but not too much money involved either! 😋 Thanks for watching!
Art work is the best!
very cool artwork.im going to have my grandkids do that to my doors
Best thing in the shop!
Vary nice art work! I liked the tool holder also!
The girls got to add more artwork this year on Father's Day. It's my favorite thing in the shop.

Thanks a lot Kyle. Some of my most favorite parts of any of my videos are the parts that are rarely seen at the ends. Thanks for watching.
I carry most those tools in my work truck, I'll be doing this i think 🤔 ...thanks!
Nice I’m going to use it in my truck thank you
Thank you for this! I am going to use this for my stakes I have in my truck bed!
You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful and good luck with your project.
Brilliantly simple solution! Thanks!
You're welcome! It's still riding around and working great in my truck!

grate video. Tons of fun to watch.
Thanks Henry!
We all got that “stuff I may need…. Someday” pile don’t we 😂
Amazing! Exactly what I need!!! Thank you for making this video
Great to hear! I'm glad you found it useful Cherie. Good luck with your build. I still use this everyday and the zip ties have held up well!
Cool idea. But Dude when you pulled that old crusty hand saw out and start going to it, i lost it LOL.
🤣
Great idea thanks for posting.
Love the art work!!
Thanks John! That's my favorite part too! Appreciate you watching.
Great idea. I have been looking for a way to store those darn shovels, rakes & long c@#p. Thank you.
You bet! Hope it works out for you. I am still enjoying the use of it. Almost embarrassing how easy it was to do but functions just fine all the same.
Cool stuff!!
Great channel.
I greatly appreciate that Bill! I'm grateful for your kind feedback and thank you for watching!

"just kidding, I think that is overkill" awesome.
Haha!
Just a suggestion, use a table saw to cut the pipe. You can raise the blade and set the guard at 5” and you’ll get a perfect cut
That's a great idea. I just don't have a table saw :)
I need to do that..
Another great video. Thought a chainsaw was coming out lol. I’m a uber driver and in between jobs I watch your videos. Sometimes I get annoyed when I get a job and have to press pause lol 😂

Ha! My favorite part of the shop. Thanks for mentioning it!
gonna do something like this, thanks.
I still use it and it's held up well. Good luck!
Great idea
Neil , A skill saw works good on a long cut on PVC .
That's a great bit of info. You know I've always wanted a cordless skill saw and I bet that would great in this application. Appreciate you watching!

Do all 2015 come with aluminum body
Yes
Please give Milwaukee inksall I try they don't dry out and are about the same price as a sharpie if no cheaper .
Never heard of them but can't wait to try some now. Thanks for the suggestion Aaron!

Right on! I forgot though eventually.
Haha you over here building rain gutters for your truck
Simple and cheap
also your zip ties are not going to last you need to bolt that in
One year later and still holding up really well. Can't use the cheap zip ties for this!!!
Use a god damn skill saw It’s like watching paint dry
Alright I will god damit.
Sadly there no company on earth that makes simple kits for truck beds side storages.
