That is waaaay more splitter than I need (and I had been contemplating upgrading). I’m ‘way back in’, so there is no point in selling to anyone beyond a few neighbours in here too. Having ‘grey’ hairs operate the machine with nice dry rounds is great, but most of the time it’s solo here…it has to be 100% safe…an hour+ drive to the hospital. My trees are always big oaks, way more than I could ever harvest in my lifetime, but the luxury of pretty rounds without challenges is just a dream here. But thanks for the things I do learn…like wood only drying an inch in from all sides…that simple truth has changed the way I split, inventory levels, and storage methods. Thanks big time for that!

I have the same splitter. I use the 4 way most of the time, most consistant, especially with tree service wood. Box wedge for the large rounds. Hardly ever use the 6 way. I'll be upgrading to the 37D eventually.

I think the 22-22 is way more splitter than Tony needs. Just splitting for his boiler he could get by with almost any splitter. Great as always Christopher! 👍🏻

When I get around to getting the big dog 22-28 I’d love to do a video on it. So far I have a working splitter for now. I would love the production output that those machines make. It’s nuts how much it can make an hour in wood and profit potential! Even at my prices it would make like 300 an hour of wood/ income!
Chris that’s a great splitter, but I think the Easton Made Axis is a better choice for your wood yard. Seems like you would have less kindling wood with the Axis and it’s half the price.
That auto return or whatever it's called would be nice on the ultra if that's possible. You could have the next piece ready to go maybe if you're fast enough.

how about adding Heating Wood category to your yard? you now dont have to re-split as much because you sort your wood already by species, as dry, cookie, kindling, etc... just make new pile of big pieces. figure out your financial advantage.

Thought it would be a good splitter for you then thought beyond your needs, too heavy for what you want. Although a auto cycle and bigger push plate would be nice for you, without changing the weight too much. Still faster to use the oil from the bottle with the hole in it, also gets rid of your used oil couldn’t find my oil can the thought of you and the hole in the bottle. Given that these machines are on a 18mo back order, I would ask original MSRP, shipping plus $1000. On the other hand, if my name was Chris and I owned a woodyard, I would sell my splitter on the same type of deal and ask Tony for a sweetheart deal on his.
