this is amazing. Usually on videos that are titled like this, they show me how to scan for my plug ins or something. Which is useful, but most people know how to do that. I didn’t know many of these things were possible and you’ve inspired me to get on my Macbook tonight

At 7:25, what is the purpose of mapping a macro knob to the chain selector to transition between 2 effects when you could of assigned the macro knob directly to the actual effect itself? I'm curious what the purpose or benefit is of having several extra "chain selector" steps?

How do you highlight with a green box in the clip or scene you are on?

Hello!?? Could you tell me how do you have a green box in your scene and in the clip selected? I’ve seen that some controllers do that with a big block but I need just to hav it in one scene line! Some help for a sub?

Thank you so much for this great video!
I have one question more, do you know if/how you can record parameters?
For example, if i want to record the frequency of a high pass filter by hand (not by drawing the automation in), how can i do that?
I know it's possible in cubase, but i'm curious if that's also possible in ableton. I hope so!
    Thanks in advance!

Heyo! Yes you totally can record automation,. Just hit the "record automation" button on the transport, then when you record any parameter movement will also be recorded. Hope that helps!

In the instrument rack, you can drag out all chains out to 0-127, then right click and select 'distribute ranges equally', if you want a bunch of instruments selectable with a single knob. You're welcome

correction: a (downward) compressor doesn't just reduce the volume of the track, it brings the louder parts closer to the quieter parts (based on a threshold). whereas volume reduction brings all parts down equally
